90% like F1?

2 class racing worked out great in LFSGT with a few exceptions (Aston). Even in Westhill with those narrow and fast turns I can't remeber any problems. I still voted for "One class racing" because it gives more opponents on the same level and not just overlapping.

Quote from PaulC2K :
4 combos, 2 done on server A, 2 done on server B, 20min qualifying session, 10min break.
Teams send a single driver into each of the 4 sessions, total each teams time up, and thats your divisions divided by the results of 4 combos, not 1.
No 'that combo doesnt suit our team' nonsense, no favouritism, no disadvantages, wide variation of combos to test teams in different departments not just 1, and its all over and done with in 50min, 60 if you want to round it off.

Good for all

PreQual combos shouldn't be the same configuration as during the season. All long tracks are a good choice

Quote from Jos Belgium :Why don't all possible drivers (or drivers entering the event) from each team upload a hotlap, get all the team's results together, sum up the times, divide it by the number of drivers per team, and sort the divisions from there?
Like that, it is a team's qualifying event, perfect for a team event. Right?

You can't expect that from the bigger teams, because a lot of them have a family and/or are inactive or atleast too lazy to plug in a wheel

Quote from joshdifabio :i.e. In the EPS finals there was a difference of 2 points between each position in both races, so there was nothing to be gained by dropping a position. That was the point I was trying to make.

Here you should keep in mind that this only applied to the races of the finals.

Finals: 10 drivers -> Top 10 reversed -> 18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2,0
Regular season: 20 drivers -> Top 8 reversed -> 31,27,24,22,20,18,16,14,12,11,10,...,1

How will be the division decided where a team takes part?

For Race 1 and 2 the same points if only the Top 8 would start in reversed order. Otherwise it isn't fair.

Quote from niall09 :im too lazy to google it, but can someone tell me if UTC is the same as GMT? I have gotten very confused over it

You can compare it in LFS after choosing a track. The time stands next to the "back" button.

Quote from N I K I :top 10 shoutout is going to cost us 30 minutes! Have you guys thinked about quali like in F1 and DTM? 3 periods.... best drivers goes to next round...

As far as I understand it we do a normal qualifying with 15-20 Minutes. After that we do a one-lap quali with the top 10. So the whole process would take 20 + 10 minutes if 3-4 people are on the track at the same time. I don't see why it should take 30 minutes for the shoot-out itself...

The only way is /end after the shoot-out and to do it manually.

If we use reversed grid then I think Top 8 would be enough.

I fully support the Shoot-Out! It would run like this. In that way it doesn't take much time. The qualifying itself could take only 15 minutes. I'm fine with the rest.

Great Idea! This track is indeed the largest track in Europe.

Quote from flinty72 :
EDIT: I have questions about the number of laps counted in Qual:
Does it count the outlap as a completed lap? It probably shouldn't if it does.
Also does it count whole laps only or part of a lap as a whole lap?

Depends on the track, if you cross the finish line during pit exit the lap will count. You will notice it at Aston, try GP and GP reversed for example
