Description
Iconic 1960s British sportscar
Spottedkitten Coupe was a famous British GT manufactured between 1961 and 1974. Equipped with 3.8-litre and 4.2-litre engines, an independent suspension, sharp disc brakes and a timeless iconic design, this classic beauty was capable of 150 miles per hour. Combined with almost 50:50 weight distribution, it was praised for its great roadholding abilities.
This mod represents a stock-spec early 60s model with a 3.8-litre engine. Removed bumpers (and a couple of interior ballast) were substituted by an additional roll-cage while keeping weight of a stock car. It is designed as a base mod for more advanced racing derivative mods.
Realism note
Keep in mind, that it is a 1960s car and it does not drive like a modern vehicle. Mod was designed to be as realistic as possible even at cost of handling sacrifices such as aerodynamic lift or not ideal force feedback. The "classic" setup represents a historically accurate stock car, while other setups are designed for racing. A right tire pressure is crucial for right tire wear management. The recommended value for both front and rear wheels is between 32 psi (universal stock value) and 40 psi (for speeds over 125 MPH).
Making derivatives
This mod was made as a base for some future racing mods. If you are going to make one, please follow IRL specifications
