Description
Early 2000s classic French FWD hot-hatch
The Lemon Ara Coupe is a fictional FWD hot-hatch made in France between 2000 and 2002. Back in the day it was known for a powerful 2.0 litre naturally aspirated engine a comfy suspension and a very sharp steering. Lot of these cars ended up modified like track cars or were disassembled to provide tuning parts.
This mod is a faster 3-door version of Lemon Ara mod. It has more setup options to enable easy builds of relatively quick rookie track and rally cars. It was built to provide a base for some future high-performance rally mods.
The car is FWD, nose-heavy and soft. It is suitable for rallycross, custom rally layouts and some hard tracks (but not too fast ones). The chassis is good for weight transfer and left foot braking training. It can be tuned to survive a couple of harder rally jumps but requires smooth driving as the front tires can be overcooked easily.
Now it is up to you. Do you prefer a stock classic hot-hatch or would you like to build your own racecar? With an aftermarket limited-slip differential and some little tuning these things can go wild.
A police version with fully-functional rotating hazard-lights is also included. The hazard lights can be toggled using the following command:
The more famous racing version can be found here: LEMON ARA COUPE T16

This Vehicle Mod is inspired by another vehicle. This mod is a tribute to the Citroen Xsara Coupe VTS 2.0i
The chassis and the default setup were tuned according to technical data obtained from the owners manual, the service manual, some real driving and the following webpages:
https://www.automobile-catalog.com
http://www.jltechno.com
https://www.manualslib.com
https://www.carfolio.com
http://www.xsara.cz
The basic model proportions were set according to technical drawings by Roger Régis (from contemporary Citroen advertisements), some real car photos and according to the https://www.citroenorigins.co.uk
Some technical details were changed to meet the requirements of the Live for Speed physics. The passive rear-wheel steering could not be reproduced and is approximated by a rear toe-in setting.
