FUND MUTSAND GT3

I liked the look of the racing version of the Ford Mustang GT3 and I decided to make that too, based on my other model.



So far, this is just the very beginning. But I hope to finish this mod before the next gt3 series starts, which will be in the summer from what I understand.

Since the interior model is almost identical to the GT4 Version, the model is almost complete. There are still small final touches that I will probably do without video.

The final touches took a little longer than planned, so I made a video.

On the subject of rims, I'm a proponent of using the rim editor to create rims. Scawen did do a really good job in the rim editor. But still things are never ideal.

I need to use the spoke object to make a complete rim because there were elements on the rim flange that could not be done otherwise, and also the uniform use of vertices enlarged the triangles too much, I optimised the use of triangles so that I could make all the intended rim parts in the spoke object, in my version the number of rim triangles decreases the closer it is to the centre of the body (the less visible part of the rims) I could not do it any other way. I optimised the mesh as best I could, and I still don't have enough triangles to make a air valve and some other details.

Would be pretty easy to take this same body and make the stock car version of this too

Incredible work as always!

I'm not sure the tail lights look "that deep" in real life. Possibly you could match the V shape on the inside part and bring it closer to the lens?

In real life the S650 tail lights almost just look as if the lens itself is glowing. No real depth.

Love it but can we get a balance update to fit the bop of the new GT3's?

It's a very well done GT3 graphically, maybe the most beautiful GT3 mod in the game, but unfortunately it's not very competitive with the other GT3s; in fact, it's the slowest of all the GT3s, for various reasons

the weight distribution is wrong, it should be 53/47 (maybe even 54/46 since compared to the M4 GT3, the mustang has a much larger engine).

some things on the mod tubes are wrong, like the position of the engine (which is too far back and also too low), the tubes also need some tweaking

tyres need a small adjustment in size

and about the aerodynamics in general, it's very weak compared to the new generation GT3 mods (which this mod should have BoP)

this mod, even though it has less drag than the GT3s, manages to be the slowest on the straights of them all

I'm open if you want help with this mod, it would be rewarding to make the physics and aerodynamics of this mod

You need select some tube for choosing the weight at the right. Engine seems too down. Take a look on the others GT3 mods on lfseditor

One thing that is sorely missed in the car is the mirror inside the car.
In the real model there are two (digital and normal mirror).
In the mod, a mirror could be added to make it easier to see cars behind us
