Live setup change pit stop bug
(HUN)ultiMate
S3 licensed
If you press F12 and make some changes in the camber, tyre pressure, etc, and make a pit stop, on the screen it shows correctly that "setup changes", and it takes 3 seconds. But if you leave the pits after that pit stop, and you make some laps and enter the pits again without making any changes to the setup, you will see "setup changes" on the screen and it takes 3 seconds again!
I have 0.5Q.

I've ran a benchmark at Fe Green, 1 hotlap with xrg (spr).
AMD Athlon 2000+, 512 MB, Radoen9600XT 128MB, 800*600*32 no AA,AF

VGA driver, that came with the card (V7.991 i think):
2006-01-08 18:39:59 - LFS
Frames: 12281 - Time: 138360ms - Avg: 88.761 - Min: 66 - Max: 93

Cat 5.13:
2006-01-08 18:51:45 - LFS
Frames: 12084 - Time: 138594ms - Avg: 87.189 - Min: 62 - Max: 93

I haven't experienced any performance loss anywhere in LFS.

Perhaps this idea http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1872 worth adding. It's about logging the hotlap world records.

Tried hybrid tyres on XR GT. I drove 13 laps, with times around 1:33:50-1:34:50, with same sector times with road normals. I think the tyres would last 'forever', unless you drift too much, they weren't overheating. Perhaps faster, dunno.

Quote from vpr01 :what about tracks with cones in places to help rookies with their racing line, breaking points and turning points?

You can do it with the autocross editor (shift+u), only someone got to do it. . Good idea.

A lot of racers with kb and mouse have bought S2(like me). If only wheel would be allowed, they are forced to spend ~50€(or more) on a wheel in order to play, but if they can't afford one, they wasted 24£. That's silly illepall

It's good to see you like the idea. I hope that Victor likes it too, and going to do it .
Perhaps the graph would be a bit more complex to do, than I expected. So I'm not insisting on that.
WR history in LFSWorld

I think it would be interesting to add some kind of WR history/log to the hotlap charts(when full S2 will come out and all hotlaps will be deleted). Storing the name, sector times and date would be enough. With one click, you could see how the WRs improved over time. A graph would be great too.
What do you think about this?

Quote from uttoro :The XRG. The most realistic car in LFS.

XRG is my favourite too. Most realistic, most fun.

Thanks for the detailed answers StewartFisher and Bob Smith, now it's clear for me how the spolier (and not wing ) works. And it's clear that it's not a bug, the spoiler doesn't generate significant downforce.
Btw, I wonder if the body lift will be modelled in S2 (in road cars)? Until then, those spoilers just for looks .
GTT, FXO, RB4 rear wing doesn't generate downforce

Hi!

I watched the TBO cars at high speeds in force view, but i couldn't see any downforce forces. Perhaps i am wrong, but then what is the rear wing for?
