Not really, I was just referring to all the headlines about your country and all the strikes and riots that are going on in your country nowadays, meaning that I kind of understand your anger, in a way...sort of...
Right, this still doesn't devitalise my observation.
Says who? The manual for gross motor skills?
And they, whoever really attemted to build one, only failed because of the lack of acceptance for such a product rather then the creation & realisation of it (specifications, usability ect.) ? Would be nice if you could show me some of the predecessors there are.
While I do agree that both ways together would make it even better than just of it, you'd had to be a total idiot in order to mutilate yourself while using a touch screen.
Just like you, he most likely don't get it because he didn't liked it in the first place.
Maybe not for you, but certainly for me.
And you're entitled to have this kind of opinion, just don't pretent that you're able to know the results just by looking at other products from the same company, it just doesn't make sense whatsoever.
"Basically", apples and oranges could be compared to some extent, but whilst looking at the details, they are not the same anymore either.
Perhaps you're right, I just couldn't be arsed to do some research on this one yet. But without the 16 GB, it would be 399$, and I'm rather curious as how much of that would be left once you'd take the iPad apart and calculate all the parts together, in order to justify the "rip off statement" some people have raised.
That means you are willing to give some away? Or why are you telling us this? I can't connect to the sites once they should have more keys available and I won't buy something I haven't even been able to play yet.
This is a very poor attempt of covering up your personal inability to be or think practical. You don't have to hold it all day long nor do you have to put it into such an uncomfortable position that it will break your wrists after a few minutes or so. The reason it has no mouse is because it has a touch screen, and the reason for that is simple to be much more independent in terms of usage mostly.
Also you could think of it this way, a mouse has always had been a replacement for something like a touch screen. Surely, there are many things that can be done way quicker or easier with a mouse, but the same applies to the touch screen, whilst this method of interaction is still far more practical and more efficient for most situations, at least it would be for me though.
"Everything" is so inappropriate in this regard (especially considering the time you've spent on this device altogether), and well, that does not changes the fact that they are much heavier and much bigger than the iPad is. Not sure about the battery duration, but I'm assuming that the iPad will beat most of them in this area as well, mostly because it has an accumulator from a laptop (afaik), a smaller screen... et cetera.
Comparing apples and oranges huh?
So you obviously can't disprove it yet. Time will tell, as they say.
Mumbling about it cannot change the fact that you're having a lot of preconceptions, for some obvious and correct reasons perhaps, but even more for many uncalled for reasons mostly.
Personally, I will wait until it is in fact available over here in europe (together with a proper internet deal), and hopefully won't be as costy anymore by then, though SSD flash drives are the main reason for this (afaik).
Even without anything, one could still take just two objects, one to lean against and perhaps another on to prevent it from sliding away.
Well, I don't know if it will or not will last that long. Matter of fact is that firstly, it would by stupid to make such a statement in the first place when it's infact not even doing eight or even less hours straight, and secondly it is a waste of time to keep on arguing about it when neither of us can disprove the other one, would you agree? Or can you actually disprove this statement yet?
Now this is infact a meaningless expression and proves just how much interest you have in a proper discussion about it. If you don't want it nor need it, and again, if it doesn't fit your needs, don't buy it, simple as that. I don't give a damn about what other people think about it, and once again, I'm thinking about getting one, and it would be the first Apple product for me, ever. So much for the fanboyism in this regard, just in case you're running out of ideas and decide to switch to that level.
Clearly, you have no idea what you're talking about. Besides, who says that I have to sit there and hold it, for so long in the first place anyway?
When they say it will run about ten hours straight, independent of what you're doing, it will most likely work that way. Who are you to say otherwise, if you haven't even tried it yet?
That depends on the priorities each and everyone has, something that differs to one another and which you obviously haven't figured out yet.
Yeah 700g, that is pretty heavy, for an infant perhaps.
Besides the fact that I've said "afaik", which should imply that I haven't been quite sure about that statement though, the charts of that website and common sense are telling me that laptops are still not capable of doing 10 hours straight, at least not when it comes down to heavy usage, like playing games or watching high definition videos. They usually have much bigger screens and actually a totally different hardware structure than the iPad...
It's about fitting the needs, not for everybody on the entire planet but for those who just need what it offers. You almost act like you have to buy it. You don't like it and it doesn't fit your needs? That's fine. You're not the only person on this planet nor is your lifestyle (or set of preferences) compareable, or a "doozy" for everybody else to strive for, is it?
Thanks to becky, this is also exactly the way I see it. I don't think it really is perfect at all yet but still, it is undeniable something new and innovative in many aspects already.

Bullshit. Have you had a view at what the costs really are, not only for the development process but also for the material and such? I don't, but I believe it's not a rip off at all but quite the contrary.
Personally, I don't have a single product from apple yet, although I do find some are quite innovative and useful due to the pure simplicity, focused not only on the design but also on the way they try to reinvent common and known ways of doing things. Whats wrong with thinking differently, creating something new or round off something to make it even better?
Now, in the past, I've been traveling a lot by train and there are always these kind of people that are using almost the entire table for their friggin laptops. I've got one as well, but in my eyes, it's just way to impractical, space & time consuming to build everything up and such.
This thing would be perfect for these kind of situations I believe. Not too massively built, got all the stuff I need for a trip by train, bus or air plane and the battery life is amazing as well, considering that most laptops won't even last half as long, afaik.
What's the point of it? Well, let me try and make an educated guess. It's called progress, right? People had also raised that kind of question once the wheel has been announced, or the cell phone, the car, train, air plane...you name it. If it would be for some of the people in here, we would be still sitting in our caves waiting for our boring lifes to end real soon, yay...
