One God. My belief is in Christianity (Maronite to be specific), though ill never rule out anyone else's faith as I respect their ways and beliefs in life completely.
I would just hate starting up a thread with an opinion/idea/suggestion, only to have half the people in it saying "OMG WORST THREAD EVER" as if they are the comicbook guy from the simpsons.
Thats what i see when i read these stupid comments and "this thread sucks" pictures.
Cant help but think to them, "good on ya mate, youve told off someone on the internet. have a cookie."
Get a life!
(and no one use the excuse that its repetitive suggestions and the devs dont want it etc, ive been around here long enough to understand that!) (i dont agree with the idea either just for the record, cant help a fan for trying..)
I was seeing some ages and thinking wow, young people play LFS here. Im currently 19 years old.
Last time i posted in this thread i was 16.
My join date was over 5 years ago. So im still stunned and am having trouble believing that i was at one stage 14 years old playing LFS on forums.
Time flys! Still young!
Edit: Sorry, just realised, '05 was when i got my S1 licence. Perhaps i think a good half year/year before that i was playing LFS back in the old blackwood times.
And to my knowledge (please correct me if wrong). The most popular combo was the MRT at South City Classic?
Make the most of whats around you. If your down cause your failing school. Do something about it. If you simply dont have the mind for it, then its ok. You would be surprised how many options you have outside of school, but the truth is, when you finish school, things get a shitload harder!
Its all about mind control. I lived with no motivation for years, and what do i have to show for it? nothing! I have been down the wrong paths and i wish i could take any of it back, and wish i didnt have an attitude like "For some reason I just can't be bothered to do anything, I know i should, but yeah".
If you know you should, then you should be doing what you think you should be doing. (sorry for the tounge twister ).
Youll end up having nothing to show for yourself, youll hate yourself eventually because your failing everything and eventually give up. Start acting now! Literally, right now. Theres only one option to do and that's to do something about your situation. I can emphasize that any more.
If you need advice or anything, talk to me on msn if you have it, here is too public for me to give more advice, because like ive said, ive been there, ive done that, and i know what its like around aus/nz rather than uk/usa etc. Im only 19 years old and i picked myself up, after being through a very similar situation like yourself. I currently have 3 jobs and am in the process of starting up a business, at this age.

Zay is also right, make new friends. People will give you a hand here or there. Its even better when you start to talk to another racer and eventually youll go to the track at the same time to practice swap ideas etc. its a social sport too, if you stick to yourself throughout the whole time, your going to hate it, pack up and leave. Be friendly, talk to people.. ask questions.. ask alot of questions. ask even more questions. give someone a quick help if they look like they need it. (and if you have nothing to work on your own kart)
as they always say, have fun, make new friends.. at the end of the day, thats 110% correct, but dont forget why your in the sport.. to win.
Help others, but never show all your cards. Be nice, but dont let anyone get an advantage over you.
Enjoy yourself. J engine, rotax engine, maxter engine, it doesnt matter what you start your first season with. You will just be loving life being bumper to bumper on the edge with 20 karts around you on the limit.
Some more info perhaps.
I think the 2 main things you should learn about while practicing is knowing your engine, and your racing lines. You can practice race craft i guess with friends and all, but race craft only comes with experience etc.
Understanding what your engine can do and tuning it just right for the right temperatures is very important. Yes setting up the kart is too, but without a good running motor, your just going to be hating life.
When i first started i worked alot on setting up and my racing lines. I was pretty decent out of the box and eventually was really quick, id share with others how id set up the kart and how id go around the track, and they would be doing the same, if not, start to do what i would be doing. Id go out with them on the track and id just be loosing too much time, leaving the corners and on the straights and id flip and yell and get angry with myself and over work myself. It came to the point where a man helped me out with tuning my jet in my carby (rotax). Before i knew it, the kart would be up to speed like everyone else and id get no bogging out of a corner. No one could touch me.
Work with your engine alot, then your racing lines of course, technique etc. Id say during too work on setting up the kart, but i feel that could come afterwards.
Ive said too many stories, but im here to give any info i can.
Oh, i didnt mean this forum judged him harshly ONLY nor did i mean you guys did at all, i know some may have, but anyway im not trying to stand my ground or anything, i dont really care that much . But just generally, everyone gave him a hard time, like stated above, was put in hot spot straight away, he would have done better in a HRT car.
Yet at the same time, whys he the reserve driver for anyway?
@TC, you come alot closer to single seater racing than most of us, so i cant say anything to you Take your 'get out of jail card'!
