Word of advice, the only server I came across using this patch is the Radiator Springs Racing server. Also, this update isn't compatible with the previous, official version.
As I want to play on the RSR server sometime, I've downloaded the patch, extracted it to a seperate folder, renamed both .exes to something like nkp_rsr.exe and nkpserver_rsr.exe and copied the whole content of the folder to my original netKar Pro folder. Now I start the game the normal way with the frontend, try to join the RSR server, which will fail, as expected. Now escape from the server, just Alt+Tab to windows, and start the renamed nkp_rsr.exe which will directly connect me to the RSR server. This way I don't need two seperate installations just for 1 server.
Well if you don't race on to get some additional tracktime or try a different approach to T1, why does it even bother you? It's not like you have to repair your car and pay for the repair bills
I don't mind some post-race carnage, part of the fun in pre S1 days.
First of all, white noise is always white noise. There is no such thing as a painful white noise.
Then there's that:
So, at first you say the 787B video sounds like "nothing but painful white noise" and then I'm "not showing the audiable differences". Wait, what?
You must get your head straight: At first it sounds like white noise and then it suddenly has audiable differences that I'm somehow not showing, besides the fact I've shown you the waveform from the video versus white noise, in the same timescale, and they are not even comparable.
And mechanical clipping, may it be from the recording gear or the sound system, will under no circumstances ever sound the same as white noise.
I guess you are judging sound with bad audio equipment (e.g. laptop speakers, desktop sound systems, sub-50€ headphones) and ****ed up soundcard settings. Oh, and of course you are judging with no knowledge at all.
