Quote from diablo21 :I just lost all the respect to Hamilton this weekend. And he apparently lost it to Ron Dennis, the one who has 'trained' him since he was 11 years old and has been like a father to him..

Hamilton:
- Don't ever f*cking do that to me again.

Dennis:
- Don't f*cking talk to me like that."

Hamilton:
-You can go and f*cking swivel.

Apparently Hamilton doesn't like to lose. God, what an idiot.

I find that hard to believe, particulary where you havent posted a link of the evidence to back your quote up.

Alonso on top in Hungary, as McLaren fend off Renault

Friday's second practice session at the Hungaroring was an odd one, and because of a late spin by McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton which deposited gravel on the track after Turn Nine, one that never really exploded into life in the closing stages.

With a full 50 minutes to go Fernando Alonso set the fastest time of 1m 20.919s in the other MP4-22, and through circumstance nobody ever did improve on that.
The closest anyone got was Heikki Kovalainen, whose 1m 21.283s best Alonso usurped. Kovalainen was much happier with his Renault R27 than he had been in Germany. Hamilton was right behind him with 1m 21.338s, and it was while trying to improve on that, on the super-soft Bridgestone tyres, that he spun.

Going into Turn Nine with five minutes left, he got slightly short-braked by the tardy Sakon Yamamoto’s Spyker, got into one slide which he caught, and another which he didn’t. The McLaren went into the gravel, and for the second time in a fortnight had to be craned out. This time the Englishman was unable to continue.

The championship leader was far from the only driver to err on a very slippery track. Toro Rosso team mates Sebastian Vettel and Tonio Liuzzi, BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld, Yamamoto, Alonso, Alex Wurz in the Williams, Adrian Sutil in the second Spyker, Renault’s Giancarlo Fisichella, and Ferrari team mates Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa all either ran off the road or spun - some of them more than once.

In the end it was Nico Rosberg who jumped into fourth for Williams with 1m 21.485s, ahead of Heidfeld in the leading BMW on 1m 21.517s; Raikkonen, who lapped in 1m 21.589s and looked set for a faster time until he encountered Red Bull’s David Coulthard on his last lap; Massa on 1m 21.620s before he spun in Turn 14 right at the end; Fisichella on 1m 21.698s; Toyota’s Jarno Trulli on 1m 21.857s; BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica on 1m 21.906s; Ralf Schumacher in the second Toyota on 1m 21.912s and Wurz on 1m 21.987s.

Nobody can say that Formula One racing isn’t close these days.

Mark Webber and Coulthard were 12th and 13th respectively for Red Bull, with laps of 1m 22.325s and 1m 22.483s, closely followed by Anthony Davidson with 1m 22.510s for Super Aguri. Takuma Sato in the second SA07 recorded 1m 22.556s, sandwiched between the two Hondas of 2006 winner Jenson Button (1m 22.510s) and Rubens Barrichello (1m 22.727s).

Liuzzi and Vettel were close together, in 19th and 20th places on 1m 23.136s and 1m 23.148s respectively, which left the Spykers in their usual places. Sutil lapped his in 1m 23.673s, but Yamamoto was well off the pace on 1m 26.307s.

McLaren await their fate in Paris

McLaren will appear at an extraordinary meeting of the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in Paris on Thursday morning to answer charges relating to the alleged possession of confidential technical data belonging to rivals Ferrari.

The British team, currently atop both the drivers’ and constructors’ standings, are accused of breaching Article 151c of the International Sporting Code. If found guilty they could have points docked or even be disqualified from the championship.
Article 151c relates to “any fraudulent conduct, or any act prejudicial to the interests of any competition, or to the interests of motor sport generally”. The charges stem from claims that McLaren’s chief designer Mike Coughlan, currently suspended by the team, held almost 800 pages of Ferrari documentation - enough to design, engineer, build, check, test, develop and/or run a 2007 Ferrari Formula One car.

McLaren have maintained throughout the affair that prior to Coughlan’s suspension no other member of the team was aware of the material, and have insisted that no Ferrari information has at any stage been used in the development of their 2007 car.

“McLaren looks forward to having the opportunity to present the complete and accurate picture of events in the appropriate forum,” said the team, after admitting their disappointment at being called before the FIA.

If the Council does accept McLaren’s defence it will then be faced with the unenviable task of deciding whether the team should be held accountable for the actions of one individual. Ferrari will be present to witness the outcome, though it is not clear whether they will be presenting evidence to the hearing.

Whatever the result, the affair is likely to rumble on for some time to come. Coughlan has submitted an affidavit detailing his version of events, but, along with his wife, remains the subject of a London High Court action by Ferrari over the materials allegedly found in his possession.

And then there is the question of sacked Ferrari engineer Nigel Stepney, a former colleague of Coughlan’s. Stepney was dismissed following allegations of theft and also remains the subject of legal proceedings by the Italian team. The Englishman has protested his innocence and denies he was the source of the now infamous 780-page dossier.

For most Formula One fans, of course, the biggest question mark is over the 2008 championship. McLaren’s drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, are separated by just two points at the top of the standings, with Ferrari counterparts Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen still very much in the running, both within 18 points of the lead.

In fact, with the current pace of the McLaren and the Ferrari so evenly-matched, it looks set to become one of the most keenly-contested title fights in years - and whatever decision the Council comes to could have a huge impact on its outcome.

Quote from Darkone55 :

Hello!

Let's introduce myself and my league first.

I'm Darkone, real name Bas Bouma, and I am going to host a new FO8 league. Some may know me from the forums or online racing.

The Formula V8 Racing Series will start August 9 with a Test Race. Two weeks after that Race 1 of the league starts, at August 23.
The Test Race will take place at Aston North, a great circuit to race on. Especially in the FO8. There will be 30 experienced drivers racing eachother. When 30 drivers have signed up, there will be a qualifying. I'm not telling the circuit yet, that might be unfair. More information about this will be given later.

The qualifying of the race itself will be 20 minutes long. After these 20 minutes, the drivers who are still on their flying lap may still finish their flying lap. Every race of the season will finish the first lap over 180 km. In the case of Aston North this will be 182,0 km, with a total of 35 laps.

For more info check out our website:
http://fv8.cyxian.nl/

The sign-up is now open at our site!

Please read it carefully.

Thanks to the help of F1RST Racing and spdoRacing, with Josh Di Fabio we can make this happen.

I hope to see you on track the 9th of August. Good luck!

Lep, as much as this is a really good read. Why are you making such a big deal out of all this? You may have quality skills as a racer on some parts, but its not going to achieve anything in reality, particularly on a C.V when looking for jobs.

Take a chill pill and don't take everything to heart, its one of the reasons your reputation has gone down the drain very quickly the past week.

He wasn't making it up, it was all there for the whole word to see. Sadly you don't seem to accept to truth of it, particulary when its about yourself, and yet to stalk our team members whenever they go. Clearly you do hold a grudge big time.

Christijan Albers will not race with the Spyker team for the remainder of the 2007 season, it was announced on Tuesday. The Dutch squad revealed the decision to terminate their current contract was taken as result of commercial difficulties caused by one of Albers’ personal sponsors.

“This has been a very difficult decision,” explained Spyker team principal Colin Kolles.
“Christijan has started to find some form in the car. But the team's ambitious development programme has been seriously compromised by non-payment by one of his sponsors and we are faced with no other option.”

Spyker’s Formula One director Michiel Mol added: “The decision to replace Christijan is one of the hardest I have had to take since becoming involved in the team. By terminating the contract with Christijan and the subsequent entering into a new contract it enables Spyker F1 Ltd. to safeguard its strong financial footing needed to fulfil its technical and commercial goals.”

“We do not expect this will have any adverse effect on Spyker F1's financial result this year. We would also like to stress this decision has nothing to do with Christijan's recent performances - we still have faith in his contribution as a driver - but the long-term future of the team is of paramount importance. We would like to thank Christijan for his input and wish him every success in the future.”

The team also revealed that an announcement on Albers’ replacement will be made in due course.

Albers made his Formula One debut back in 2005 with Minardi. In 2006, he secured a race drive with the Midland-owned MF1 team and when Dutch sportscar makers Spyker took over in late 2006, he was confirmed in their 2007 driver line-up. Albers has had a difficult season this year and has retired early in four races. His best result was his 14th-place finish at the Spanish Grand Prix in May.

Continuous breaching of rules 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 may result in you being banned from the competition hosts for an indefinite period of time or even disqualification from the competition entirely. This will be decided by the competition organisation and cannot be refuted once a decision has been made.
