Well ive had my logitech G25 for only 4 months & its bitten the bullet....:tombstone
Dont really use it much either(I have a life outside of lfs too!!)

My pedals are still working prefect & so is my shifter,BUT my wheel has decided it dont want to stay centered.I use 720 degrees unless using different cars(e.g.400/540deg)NEVER BEEN AT 900!! no point in lfs......

I start my computer an wheel calibrates fine,but shortly after starting a race(dont matter which car/track) it will shift center & by this i mean the whole 720 deg will go anywhere up to 40 deg in either direction.

I opened it up today,an found that my FFB motors have black smoke soot coming out of the vents.....:wtf2:
The chip board has some soot over the wire connectors as well!

Im the only person to use this wheel as i bought it brand new at A&R computers 4 moths ago.
I used 105% ffb ( NO spring or dampener at 720 deg )

Just dont know what to do(cant get it replaced coz ive takin my pedals out to hang them upside down & my gear stick leather pouch is gone coz it was to short & couldnt get gears with it on.....VOIDED warranty!!

I use "paint.net" which has dds plugin already built-in.

Great starter program i think,its not the best but easy to use..

P.s. I made a new dds using that sunroofALPHA file.thought i would share it here since i can lol.....

So can any1 edit those dds_skin texture files??
Just like the way people have done high-res skys & stuff or is that for betta-testers...?? if did id be the only one to see them right?

@ BoB smith....Umm i have just tryed to download the VHPAv3.1.3 program & i cant seem to get on the site,i get a Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage???!!!
I can go to any internet sites/forums & can download anything,so its not my connection im sure..

i downloaded this pitboard insim an got it to connect fine via in-game & with dedicated host...


BUT all i get is the welcome & special thanks too makers message in chat....

i did a 5 lap race an got no pit board to show split times or anything for the complete race??? i even went through the pit lane just to see if that would get it to display & still nothing....

Am i missing something here??!! :o

I have been tearing my hair out coz of the crashes im getting,an now i think ive sorted it,well it starts fine-->(heaps of restart's 4 windows-updates ) an hasnt crashed yet....
Oh,an i underclocked my 2.0gig CPU aswell.my rig spec's-->> AMD64 Athlon with 2g ram & runnin a 256mb Nvidia geforce 7600 GT.

Problem was dirty connection between the PCI-E GFX card & mother board!!

(Quick fix was--->>get an eraser/rubber,an clean the pins on GFX card+blow out ur PCI/PCI-express/APG slot on motherboard)removes any nastys the may rest between or on those pins!!

Avast didnt find any thing,might try onecare again.
Onecare is what picked it in the first place coz win32:backdoor
attacked the avast mail scanner(it was spamming me hard!!).
so maybe thats why "Avast" hasnt found it this time

I think its still might have an instance of virus still left on the drive coz im getting slow internet speed on a fast rig, plus i use bigpond ADSL2 connection....(wired of coarse)not wire-less!!

dont quote me on the last paragraph,because i havnt tryed Onecare yet.
Also i might try Mc'Afee housecall??

Ok thanks for the tip...

I did use onecare to remove that virus before i reformatted,would that make a difference to it still being there after reformat i have noticed a funny crash that happins when i start up sometimes(e.g)my g25 wont calibrate on startup sum times an my computer gets a black screen an freezes,so i just restart an its fine...

Running anti-virus scanner now.

Just had a 3inch cat-back exhaust put under it with sweet set extractors!! cost me heaps...high comp heads an sum other stuff:shhh:

NOTICE!! never try an play lfs before installing service pack 2!!!
you will never get it to run....

As i said above,i tryed to install graphics drivers an could not get above 800x600 on 4 bit coulor display.Because the xp drivers that come with service pack1 for windows is the problem!!!

No,I dont have the driver disc,i perchased this card second hand.
I had this card working sweet 5hrs ago,and was getting 300 fps!! BUT i had win32.backdoor(TROJEN) on my computer an had to reformat

That trojen was spamming my Avast mail scanner BigTime!!

do you have or can you direct me to a driver or a driver cleaner as to remove/update whats on here now?? im google'ing like mad.........
