Ok so I haven't updated since F3, and now I'm on F7. I have an issue. I mean, the car seems more shaky? Maybe too responsive to the road surface? All these years I've been driving, the car bounched less and I don't remember ever changing any settings in the view option. Were there any made by default? If yes, what were they before? I'm not saying I can't get used to it, because in some door to door racing I haven't noticed it, but when I have noone around I see the difference just because there's not much to look at untill the next corner.
As far as I know AF has such a small impact on framerate it is hardly noticeable. I'm always keeping it up to 16x and trust me, I don't have a supercomputer.
I think Daniel should jump in to do some benchmarks
In other words 4\8 by default would sound good, unless Daniel (or someone else) proves that there's almost no diference between that and 16x.
Also untill they grow a white beard by using 0.6F as many others mentioned before.
To be honest I'm clicking this thread in hopes there are some usefull posts made, not the same shit over and over again. I may not be an important person with an important real life going on, but this is really a waste of my time. Old Westhill will be out, new Westhill in. Absolutely none of your bullshit arguments will change that, so I think its time to move on and have a kit kat.
You could try by joining cargame.nl S2 servers on weekends when they get kinda full after noon, do some racing and maybe find a team that suits you. This morning, after 12pm there will be only GTI racing (XFG\XRG) and tomorrow GT2 I think. Balanced cars and a lot of fun
I'm not really "making you an offer" because cargame.nl is a closed team, but you can always join our servers and have some fun
Also if someone is troubling you on the server, you can always visit our forums and tell us about it (see signiture). See you around!
I'll probably have a look at that poll tomorrow but at this particular moment I want to thank you and Geniuine Racing for putting the effort to get this shit together.
I also want to thank Dave for streaming and commentating at a point where I'm pretty sure everyone tought its not gonna happen anymore especially after the last few rounds of GTM. So yes, thanks for that and I hope you'll do it again in the following GT1C League.
*sends love to everyone because moody is in a good mood*
Daniel is on fire as always and he's right Your team doesn't have a tag set so that's why it doesn't show anything up. Mine says CG even tho the teams name is cargame.nl
More than a year ago when I wasn't used to manual shifting I was doing the same thing and I had no idea wtf is going on. People kept asking me if I'm on manual and I was like yea yea sure but it looked like I wasn't really.
As far as I know, SM 2.0 was launched with the GeForce FX 5000 series, which were uter crap exactly as you were saying and I hardly doubt it that people still use them for LFS (OR ANYTHING ELSE) because the performance is so low it makes you want to cry.
SM 3.0 came with the 6000 series which were properly made and they haven't failed again.
If you could only integrate some "thing" into LFS, that will send you a full report of the PC config of everyone who goes online ingame at least once. I don't know if that's invading privacy or not, but I think it would be helpfull to know.
Or maybe this. Source engine by Valve is a good example. You can pick the way you want the game rendered by starting with DX 7 to DX 9.0
