"just noticed that on my d link router settings , when i ass lfs as a persmission o open the potrts , it will not add it to current permissions for some reason"
sorry if english is a second or third language ,but i didnt really understand any of that,
i dont think its driver related, possibly a faulty GPU,looks as though the screen is tearing! have you another GPU to try, the fx5200 is quite old now, possibly its overheating, the thermal compound could do with replacing, does the card have a fan or is it a heatsink? check the fan is spinning.
how does the computer behave in other games?
if anything i would suspect its a dead/dying card :-(
hi ryan. checkout http://www.portforward.com/eng ... orwarding/routerindex.htm although it might not have the exact instructions for setting up LFS, it will however guide you thru opening ports on your specific router, when it comes to choosing the application/game, just choose something else if lfs isnt there.
i have just checked and apparently lfs server is there! have fun
hi, are you trying to do a hotlap on it, i only ask because that stumped me once, single player lets u use it, or i may be gettin confused with the skid pad!
Its not all about the mhz either!!!Level 2 cache when gaming is involved is also important.
i would also suggest going down the intel route, c2d 775, the lv2 cache helps alot in games, something out of the 4000-5000 dual core range will cost £50-£70 and has 2-3 meg of lvl 2 cache., or a little step to the 8000 range the lvl 2 cache is more than 4meg isnt it?2.4-2.6 default clock speed and easily overclockable on air(with other decent components, mobo and ram)
the skins do not "show" in lfs by default, when in the garage, click new skin, are they there to choose from now? the skin names must also have the name of the car at the beginning of the skin name (FOX_DEFAULT.jpg) for the fox, and as far as i remember you only need to place them in the skins folder.
also you will have to upload them to lfs world b4 they will be seen by others online.
hopefully the above comments have helped you, if not
what you need to do is create a folder on the computer, possibly the c:\, call it lfs for example,
then when you run the installer, use the browses button to locate that folder and extract it there. By default it extracts it to a temp folder, which by default in xp, vista etc is hidden :-)
possibly a refresh rate problem? (sorry if bought up already)
also tried unpdating/removing drivers?
get in via vga mode/safe mode, uninstall all drivers ,run driver cleaner to clean out old ones?
if none of above works, change/use a different display adapter on the problem pc see wot you get, may help narrow it down. dont forget to clean ati drivers tho, drivercleanerpro
my own experiences of moving with telewest/virgin havent been a problem, and ive been a telewest/virgin customer for over 10years now and i think ive called them twice.... the day b4 i moved i was cut off....the day i moved in ,the engineer was at the new house plumbing me in.
however, im a pc engineer, business and residential , and ive seen it all, especially BT and id like to share an example of their splendid work.
We ordered BT broadband for a customer at the end of november last year, i was in her house the day after activation day. no broadband light! so i called CS.
i was told "it was a problem with the line, and an engineer will turn up to sort it", he come out (a week later) the customer was told it was a faulty bt hub, new one send out, 3-5 days , same problem..after a circle of the same event and too cut a long story short, the customer now has 3 bt hubs, and a bt voyager LOL all sent out to cure the problem, and it still didnt fix it.
i rang bt from her house , spoke to customer services, who said something(i couldnt tell you exactly)LOL.....i asked for her manager, who finally checked the line again, told me the line had been ceased for some reason, possibly because of unpaid bill, although the customer had been paying for broadband for 2 months, in the end bt told me, "i dont know why it had been ceased" , "but ive now turned it on", and within a minute of her saying that the broadband light lit up on the router in front of our eyes!2 months later
i 2 love the fo8, its the first mp race i look for, but i usually have to make do with fox or fbm
wether anyone is interested i can run a server,FO8 ONLY, let me know tracks u may want.
tbh i have hosted one b4, waited , and waited LOL.....
is there any info anywhere on the upload bandwidth requirements for a server , i wanna know how many clients i can handle, upload is 480kb/s?!?!?!!!!!!???
can also bump in reverse ive noticed in the past lol
as others have said 1st gear isnt the best choice.
one of my old cars had a dodgy starter motor , i could push it a foot or 2 towards the incline of my drive(backwards) and within 6foot bump it in reverse
