Hey guys i was wondering how do u race in LFS?
as in tactics, startegies and so on...

For me

In turn one (Blackwood of course) on the first lap i like to brake early and let people pass me as there is always going to be one idiot crashing. I tend to play defensive and follow the person in front of me until they make a mistake. If i cannot keep up i will check my position if i have the potential for a podium i will take it easy and let them pull ahead but if im in a position where i have nothing to lose i will push my car to the limits.

This is what i do when i race especially with the FBM.

Hey guys

After weeks of searching i have finally come to the decision to make my own team. At first i tried to join (FA)FastAmericans and they had pretty high standards for me u need to get a 1:15:00 to join. Today i made that milestone only to learn that you had to be from America to join. So my ambition to join that team died and i found that there wasnt any other decent racing team so I decided to make one myself
AuRF. Sounds flashy. I still havent got round to thinking what it stood for.

Anyway back on topic I am willing to let people join from Australia and are interested in Racing, NOT DRIFTING.This team is for clean racers wanting to learn. I am hoping for a few S2'ers and a Team Leader seeing as i well be the Demo Leader.

The requirements for my team will be 1:16:00 on the FBM and 1:36:00 for the XFG. You must also tell me your racer name as i will want to see your stats on LFSworld.

To join you can either PM me or write here.

PS. i will need help with skins and servers.

Thanks

Paul

Quote from AMB :Well here's my answer there are hundreds of servers up, all at different racing levels so you will find people faster, and slower than yourself, S2 obviously offers you more cars which means it won't get boring plus the added tracks and a lot more mature people to race against, all in all £24 for a game that will last you forever and is constantly being updated is a drivers dream, also if you buy a cheap wheel maybe a DFP you will enjoy the game a lot more.

i reckon the developers should have a look at this thread. The XFT would be nice and diesel cars whoa might aswell have monster trucks for the people who play demolition derby in LFS

Quote from swisscosmo :honestly i would go for a New and better PC becuase on a PC you can do so much things and since you want Forza2 for the Xbox 360 there is a program that i saw today i don't know what its called but the program takes Xbox360 or PS3 games and makes them be able to play on a PC so you could be playing Forza2 on the PC but with a XBOX360 controller. but good luck!

same
ive never heard of playing Ps3 games on PC
i mean 1080p is pretty hardcore
GT5 graphics are really good its a bit like how Crysis cant be played on full settings.
Using the FBM with Keyboard

Well seeing as no one has posted this before i want to help some beginners in driving with the FBM. I just came back from a demo server and noticed how many people spin out with this car as very delicate throttle control is needed to properly drive it. Well ive found a way to go around this using a Keyboard.

What I've learnt is that a lot of people in demo who have become adapt to using the XFG and like to full throttle all the way out of the corner. You may have noticed this is completly useless in an FBM and you are likely to spin out. What you should do instead is while you are exiting tap the throttle continuenly until you have straightened your car and full throttle all the way once the car is straightened. If you find you are still spining you should lower your tire pressure

Hope this is useful for some beginners using the FBM

the main reason why i need S2'ers is mostly because they are more experienced than demoers and will help me excel even better. I find that i do need a wheel if i were to show the best in me.

Right now i find nothing wrong with anything except the fact that i lack in knowledge of setup. No matter how hard i try i just cant get it through my head. The main reason for me joining a team is so that i can display how much i have learnt and continue learning and going further. Though my dream seems very feeble i dream to one day be in the drivers seat of a Mclaren Formula 1 or a V8 Supercar. My parents hate this dream but its still my biggest ambition no matter how hard they try to stamp it out.

Also it would probably be a first for a S2'er joining a demo team

wow
i didnt expect to get that much response
yes purchasing S2 is still pondering through my mind as yes i will have all the cars and trackss but i think its a bit of a waste as i will only be playing probably once every two weeks. im also considering buying a steering wheel so i guess ill purchase those two at the same time

Also to setup my own Demo race team well where am i gonna get the members
i might aswell for the time being so who wants to sign up?
any S2'ers wanna join in too??

thanks for ur responses

Paul
Where are my aussies at?

Well im a demo racer and since i only play LFS from time to time cos of my studies i reckon there isnt any point of purchasing S2 until S3 is out so im looking for an Aussie racing team because mainly of the time
now im new to the S2 physics and slowly getting better since i used to play S1 demo but then stopped because my cuzin moved out, ive come to servers under multiple names like DVD,Faijai, Phillip Jai, and recently Buusap. ive gone through the forums but the most active was in April 2008 and it was a drift team.
