maybe motorbikes are not the best way to go but what about the drag cars that you see in America (drag racing) where the parachute shoots out of the back at the end.

That would be good if they introduced those type of cars and a much longer dragstrip.

i suppose you're right but it would still be fun if they introduced the bikes and you could use the keyboard or the mouse to steer.

It might not be as good as expected but at least they will have tested it.

Joypads, mice, steering wheels etc just don't work well enough for a simulation. We need body movment, countersteer, peg loads etc to be input via the human.

Whilst we might see bikes as a crappy arcadey 'look what the LFS engine can do', it will NEVER (imho) be at simulation standard without a controller that doesn't exist yet.

i dont want to show any disrespect to all those car lovers out there!! lol

I have recently joined LFS and i think its great!

i always see these website with different 'leagues' and 'tournaments' in them. How do you go about joining tournaments rather than just racing for fun??

that manual that you gave me still didnt work.
the skins just arent appearing on the screen when i click on the colours button and then on the skins.

what should i try now?

all of the default skins on my computer are 512x512. they can be this size or 1024x1024.

how do i change the size of them if i had to?

I have downloaded some new skins into my data/skins folder in my computer.
I have asked a lot of people how i get them onto the car and they all tell
me the same thing - go to the pits/garage, click on colour and click on the
skins part at the bottom of the screen.

When I click in this the skins that I have downloaded do not appear on the
screen. I have checked that they are the correct size (512x512) and have the
correct name (xxx_skinname) where xxx is the abbrevation for the car..

I have read the online manual and it hasnt really helped me.

What should i do?
