In the contradiction of the rules, would the first one mentioned not override the secondly mentioned rule? Then Bean0's posting of Rule 1.1 and 2) would override 2.2) (funny we have a similar incident like the F1 had in Monaco )

For a revision of the rules it might be useful to regulate the point where drivers begin to accelerate. In Aston the cars where already at race pace when the green flag was given and this is where the contradiction is because as you try to keep up you automatically start overtaking within the green poles area regardless if the green flag is shown or not.
What I would like to see is a green flag that gives the "Go" for full throttle on the initial start of the race and a separate ruling for the restarts under SC. In the SC the driver on P1 should lead the field, dictate the pace and decide when to accelerate. Green flag should be given early to indicate the race is on, safety car is in and that there will be a clean restart. Overtaking can then be done from the green poles onwards.

That I way I believe there is no way of misunderstanding the rules and it would give the opportunity to profit from a restart after the SC-phase (If the restart was initiated by the green flag, the leading car would suffer a lot if the straight was long)

Uhh, not sure atm and I don't care anymore since the final outcome for our team was pretty astonishing given the fact that the XRR didn't really stand a chance on that track

Overtaking yes, but if there is no green flag at all the race is not on. At least it was that way in the WTCC e.g. So what we thought was +1 formation lap and then a working green light

In 2007 the 24h race on the nurburgring was suspended due to heavy fog during the night, the cars just stopped and continued as conditions improved later (It was quite a funny moment though as I woke up lying in a tent 10m away from the track. With all the silence around me I thought my mates had carried me away into the trees while I was drunk/asleep )
I think the same thing happened at the 24 hours of Silverstone where TG took part.

As mentioned earlier it would also be "unfair" to take away the track position every team has reached in the first hour. It's just been unfortunate that Timo had a disco, quite uncommon, he used to have a very stable connection!

@ Boothy, the gains / losses by pitting late where crushed when the green lights failed, I pitted late and gained 3rd from 10th, Martin took over, stuck to the rules and didn't pass / accelerate and fell from 3rd to 10th again

Lap 16 28-P.Mante cut the entry of the corksscrew gaining several positions against 33 and 05 and never returning it. Same incident as with us in Kyoto where we were given a DT

Cars involved: 05 and a couple of others

05 Krönke waited for the green flag which never appeared and was overtaken by 7 drivers which did not have the permission. From 3rd pos. to 10th.

We think it's not fair to be punished by obeying the rules....

I went freaking enrage when you overtook me the second time after the oval ^^ I would've let you by easily if I knew you were ahead :-x

Unlucky so many drivers had discos again :-/ Combined with the SCs it's so damn hard to follow the positions yourself

Are you ****ing serious? I kept C Ford comfortably behind me before I lost out onto the oval twice a little due to understeer.

He was a lap behind so he should stay the **** out of the fight cause I was battling S Fischer behind him. Both of his overtaking attempts were rubbish and cost me a lot of time and you guys apply a penalty to me? This is just plainly ridiculous.

Accepted this time but I'd like to see a replay of this. Due to the disconnect Marius' replay had been lost.

I do not understand the ruling because when I watched it on the stream I saw both cars entering side by side into turn one and there was contact sending 05 straight off. - Racing incident.

I would have understood ruling for "not giving back the position" but as Ocius had lost several positions the lap after it wasn't a good idea to let 3 cars by!

This is absolutely untrue!

On some machines Fraps limits the fps to 10-30 fps for whatsoever reason.

My machine is capable of recording videos in 1920x1200 50fps but not in 32 bits, unless I run LFS in windowed mode. Windowed mode + 32 bits is also 50 fps and more.

Also the HD speed doesn't matter when recording with fraps because even the uncompressed data is not large enough to get a normal HDD to get into troubles. I have a RAID-0 in my machine but I have no performance difference if I record to my non RAID-0 partition.

@ Timo, try recording in windowed mode and raise the FPS limit in fraps above 30FPS and you should be fine

It is because somewhere in the code of the tracker thing there was something telling: IGNORE COMMANDER ^^

I didn't know one of our drivers was using Chase Cam and therefore we didn't communicate the change in rules within our team.

In order to not disturb your race we decided to retire from this race.

Bobbek, sitting in that playseat your legs are 85% stretched, that way you'd have to use the "fall out of the chair" method in order to get out. And that's difficult

Apart from that it is useless discussing this matter without a real case behind it I think there are only few people who would do so.

When we met up last year for the 24h race it was so much more exiting and so much more of a teamfeeling than just hanging around on Ventrilo/Teamspeak and race together.

And I am of the opinion that abuse can be reduced to let's say 0 if you just document the driver changes with a camera showing the swap and the lapcount / race timer. Changing while racing is impossible, to get of of the seat it takes me more than 2 seconds and the next driver would need another 2 seconds to get in and get ready!
