I just spent the last hour or so learning how to use fraps, virtualdub and movie maker, I ended up with this. The passes weren't that great, I couldn't be bothered to hunt for many, and most of them were picked because they went with the lyrics.
For the second time in a week my icons on LFSWorld have rearranged themselves to a random order. It actually happened twice today, but after a few seconds of the page being opened the icons jumped back to their original position.
I find it annoying too, I don't understand why some servers don't let you vote until it has passed 1 minute, this just causes people to constantly vote to restart, flooding with vote/cancel messages. It would make more sense if it wasn't possible to vote after a certain time. Like once the leader has completed one lap, votes are automatically cancelled.
I'm not sure if having the servers full is such a good idea. The races yesterday were just mayhem, it was fine when there was 5-10 people there, the races were great. But as the server started to fill most people, including myself couldn't get passed T1. No doubt the race will be cleaner in the GP, I just think it could take a few atempts to get the race underway.
And I got a new pb yesterday 1:06.62 (0:00.01 off the previous )
It's not bad, a few of the characters ruin it for me though, Moss is just crap, and the goth is too much like Neil from the Young ones. I did have a good laugh at quite a few of the lines though. It is worth a watch.
I've had quite a few problems with my graphics card drivers, the drivers I have now are the most reliable I have tried, thankfully the only problem I have is it rebooting now and again (plus the occasional red/blue screen flash in lfs), which I can work around.
I wish I saw this thread before, I was alt tabbing between LFS and firefox ealier then my computer rebooted itself. It has happened a few times before but never really bugged me (had worse problems), but now I've just noticed it has deleted most of my firefox bookmarks (and no, I'm not on a different profile)...
Those Omega drivers seem to have done the job, the only problem I'm having now is every so often the whole screen flashes blue or red for a split second, but I can live with that.
Hi mate, I think it is a software problem, I downloaded the latest Nvidia omega drivers, and since then I haven't had any problems. I had a few races on LFS and a long session on OFP this morning, and everything has been fine.
I'm not too sure about the power supply, and I was told if there was problems with the AGP slot or the card itself, it wouldn't be found or work at all.
I'm going back on LFS in a bit, will let you know if I have any more problems.
I just pulled out of the pits on Ashton Cadet, and I couldn't see the track, all I could see was random colours and shapes. First time this has happened, and the strange thing is when I am spectating someone else it is fine.
There is far too much of that I agree, and the LFS community isn't what it used to be, but it is still one of the best and most helpful communities there is in the online gaming world. Don't be put off by a few non-racing related incidents or racing incidents, you (along with everyone else) will get into arguements while racing whether you want to or not...remember you're on the internet.
I thought that had fixed it, but it has happened twice again today. This is so frustrating, after it happened earlier today I was just waiting for it to happen again, then when I thought the problem had gone away again, it happened again...when I was leading too
I can't really get hold of another card until next week. I'm pretty sure it's not a graphics card problem, it's unlikely to have two cards that have the exact same problem. Plus I don't think reinstalling LFS will help really, as OFP is having problems too.
Well, that didn't work. I'm having problems with LFS too. Alot of objects disapear and parts of the track, also it becomes very laggy, the FPS drops very low. Any ideas what is wrong with it?
I got my pedals back this morning, and just had a few laps around Ashton and they seem to be working fine, they actually feel better than they did when they were brand new. Good job Shaun, thanks again.
I replaced my graphics card to (with the same card), and OFP just crashed again, same error messages. I'm going to try the DriverCleaner that Fordman mentioned before, and the 81.95 drivers Fred mentioned (I was using 81.98).
OFP crashed again last night, I thought I sorted it by downloading the latest directx last night, but it has just crashed again, but this time with a new message:
CreateIndexBuffer failed 8876086a - out of memory?
