I'm so happy for this server. FOX has always been the best single seater, so much more fun than FBM. Really glad that its gaining popularity again

This side of LFS is not very well balanced...but it is a difficult problem to solve. Same issue for all multiplayers games: how to prevent morons from ruling.

That's why I feel the best thing to do is to just review the replay and have vote kick/ban disabled.

Anyway, to post a happy update and give credit where credit is due, I got a PM from an FM guy wondering if it was there server (it was) and I'm already unbanned but more importantly vote ban/vote kick is disabled

Take that Android sometimes people care This has restored my faith in this game.

ha yeah I found that funny. Especially because I'm not the biggest fan of Oval Racing in real life, but in the game it is one form of racing which is ALWAYS wheel to wheel close. I'm talkin about 5-10 cars <1 second of the lead racing in a HUGE pack, jockying for position in the draft etc. There just isn't ANYTHING ELSE in LFS that comes close to that for consistent CRAZY wheel to wheel racing.

That said, my favorite was always FOX on South City Classic, that used to be the server that there was always tons of people on...not anymore

This is the kind of attitude I always hope to run into more at LFS. I feel like I used to, in the earlier days in 05-06, now there's just distrust and whatever the opposite of the benifit of the doubt it.

I don't know that I've ever been on a gentlefoot server, but I apprecaite your friendliness. Obviously not everyone doesn't care.

There has been so much bitching and "discussion" about server ban policies and to be frank, the server owner paid for it and can do whatever he wants. He has the right to ban you without any reason at all and there is nothing you can do about it. I'm just putting the point out there for discussion. When there is a wreck it's a little irrational just to hit the ban button immediately when there are only 3 other people that have to hit it. I was wondering if anybody else has run into this.

before you even have a chance to apologize or explain that you were between two cars and had no where to go and no time to react.

It's not like I was wrecking people, or being beligerent. It was a coming together on the front straight at KY1 in F08 w/3 cars, I was in the middle.

All I'm saying is I wish people would excersize a little bit of restraint or at least give people a chance to explain themselves.

With the lack of servers on Live for Speed, especially late at night EST, to be banned for no reason from one of the few servers that always has racers really diminishes the value of the game that I paid for.

Just gimme a chance is all I'm saying, it wasn't even clearly my fault being as I was in the middle

yeah that would be sweet. Just put a small forrested mountain next to westhill and wind a track around it with lots of precarious drops and brows and such.

Then throw in a 60s style F1 car for good measure

if you were to compare the new Nurburgring to the old nordschliefe you could compare westhill to this layout Im suggesting

i just thought something with those big sweeping turns only much more would be awesome

I really think there are proper tracks and that car is such a rocket its fun on almost any track even if its not suited to it.

well now im at my new place and still having the same problem.

Now I am going through a router but i forwarded the ports I thought the game used (i looked in the cfg file for ports and forwarded those) but to no avail...i'm at a loss, again. There must be something on my computer.

well I think it has to do with the university firewall somehow. I'm done w/university in a week and ill be moving so i'll just wait to try again then..

i'm very unhappy about this (going through LFS withdawal ) but more importantly I've got a game which I've paid for which is of no use to me currently.

I have no idea whay could have caused this. I was playing in a multiplayer game not more than 10 minutes before I installed the new patch.

I didnt change a single thing on my computer besides installing the new patch. I don't have any firewalls running (though I am behind a university network, which I would imagine would have a global firewall of some sort...however that's never interfered before )

I even tried installing a Q version since i had the rar on my computer still and that couldnt connect either!

I'm totally at a loss here and quite frustratred because I have no idea what could have caused this sudden inability to connect.
