Nah, i did book 1/2 day off from my full time dayjob tomorrow purely so i had time to be ready and make sure i have packed everything i will possibly need, but i got a phonecall from the boss of the pub (ringing me all the way from on holiday in turkey might i add!) where i do the occasional shift, asking me if i could possibly find a way to do a 1pm till 8pm shift there tomorrow as someone else cant make a shift and could i possibly cover, he was pleasently surprised when i said, well, funnily enough, i have a half day tomorrow, i can do that, all extra £££ at the end of the day, or end of next week in this case, when he is home, and can therefore pay me xD

If you look back in off topic you will find my what would you do thread, coz i was in this pretty much exact situation fairly recently, i split with my gf, then other girl left her job near me and i havent seen her since, i was sure it was what i wanted at the time but looking back i did really make a huge mistake.
So if youre gonna do this, and i really cannot stress this enough mate, for gawds sake be as sure as you possibly can be before you act, because its a right pisser when everythings fallen down around you and you are left on your own and wishing you hadnt done it.

it wasnt long ago at all when i was bleating about wanting kirsty back, but you know what? i think i really have come to terms with how its all gone and am over it now, well at least i think i am anyway, she is happy with richard, and i dont begrudge her that at all either, its very easy to dwell on what might have been, all the what if's etc, but life aint like that is it, you have to keep going and try to enjoy life, and hann... this girl, has caught my eye somewhat, maybe its simply because she has shown me a bit of interest, or maybe theres something more, too early to tell i guess, time to tread carefully and see what happens methinks!

Is PSU failure/fault a common issue with desktop PC's?
The only reason i ask is because i have a strange problem that happens intermittently with my ageing (8 year old) pentium 4 machine.
You can be working away, or maybe come back to it after doing something else and the entire pc will be frozen, locked up solid, mouse doesnt move, no buttons press, even numlock capslock doesnt register on/off with the little LED on the keyboard, whole thing totally deaded.
However, what i have found is, after getting in a mood and giving the side of the case a moderate thump in anger, that if the case is hit on the side, which makes it bash into the wall, the motherboard beeps and then the PC miraculously comes back to life again, very odd.
But then the other day it just would not boot up at all, system disk something or other error, just hangs at the 'detecting ide drives' section of bios then errored, so i hit restart button, it did it again, stuck at detecting part, i thumped the case, and off it went, all detected now, and into windows it went.
However, what i have come to notice when it goes and freezes, is that the machine itself gets quieter just before it locks up, and when doing this slightly odd proceedure to get it going again, is that as the mobo beeps, stuff in the case gets louder, and i have done this with the case open, and what the louder sounds are, are the hard disks spinning back up again.
So they are obviously losing power, and it cant be a faulty HDD unless they are both nackered, because HDD1 and HDD2 both go off and come on when the case is given a good clump, so my guess is a faulty voltage line/switch mode in the PSU that runs the drives, i know that fruit machine PSU's have this as a common fault, (+5v line always breaks on those, got 4 dead ones here lol) so is this a known issue with PC power supplies also, as i have checked all wiring and connections etc, and everything is as it should be, so the PSU is the only thing i can think of.

Operation rear wheel arches, one down, one to go, at least the most difficult one is done now, the drivers side was significantly more rotten to begin with, the passengers one only has minor surface rust in comparison, unfortunately for me i havent got a welder though so for now i have had to build it out with filler and bridge in with fibreglass matting on the parts where there was gaps on the inner lip, i was trying to get back to clean metal using the flap disc on my small angle grinder as i usually do when doing bodywork, but some areas were so tender that by the time i got to bare metal there were parts of arch missing, a bit bodgy to fibreglass and p38 it i suppose, but it looks a darn site better than before!
Note to self, always change your shirt when you have finished using filler, as my whole room now looks like its been dusted for prints!
Once thats finished, it will be operation fix flaky paint, and operation spray the drivers door the same colour as the rest of the car, actually scratch that, may as well blow the whole car over in a new coat of white actually, would be easier probably lol

I would just go for mini spades connectors if it were me (presuming you know where each wire needs to go of course) and although i see your dads point in principal, spade connectors can look a bit messy and bodged, but in all honesty fully insulated mini spade connectors are no more dangerous than a proper connector block.
I may be well off the mark here but if you actually read the error message literally as it is worded then surely its kinda tells you what the problem is, that the version of xp on the CD you are trying to use is an older version than whats installed on the PC already, hence why is doesnt want to work. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898594/

The only reason i ask is because i logged into my YT today to see a comment on a video of 'weird, theres almost no bass in this recording?' so im thinking what, its a hard dance stomping track, these plentiful bass, but nope, there aint anymore.

Takeaway and some beers thursday night at beckys, (all beer already bought) i assume me bex and TVE will get wasted, then drive up friday some time, possibly services KFC or summat on the way if needbe, then to jasons, i think we did takeaway last year on the friday aswell, then saturday morning to cafe for fry up (i must try not to play the fruity in there too much, it hammered me last year lol) then whatever i eat at the track on saturday, keep a bit back to top the fuel tank up for the return trip, job done!

Is it actually the station at cockfosters itself or is it hadley wood station, if its HW then i knew precisely where that is, thats my way into london when i go 3 or 4 times a year to meet my fruit machine forum mates, drive to HW, train rolls straight into kings cross, simples!

This is not possible that i know of, the only way to do this is to get some kind of screen recorder that works ingame (such as FRAPS) and then you can record and edit the clips as you wish.
An MPR file isnt a video file as such anyway, all it is essentially is a data file that contains car info that is read by LFS and displayed accordingly, so no video program could ever read it as essentially there would be nothing to read.
