Yep, of course he is human. He has a reputation for being some dominating super human machine, but the man can make mistakes just like the rest of us. Notice how he only has 60/70 races in his entire iRacing career. His approach to sim racing is totally different to most of us. It would seem he spends 90% of his sim time practicing offline, and 10% in online official sessions. That's why he has such a good record. Personally I could never do that, I like to jump into sessions and just have fun a lot of the time.
I'm really REALLY looking forward to this car, probably more than any car so far in the sim. So many fast setups in iRacing use almost completely open diff's, so having to drive a completely locked one should make for a nice change which should suit me, and any LFSer's in general much more.
Hamilton makes F1 so much more exciting than it would be without him, I love watching him on the track. So what if he's not a likeable guy off the track? Who gives a **** seriously, and why? What the **** is wrong with you lot? On the track I know he's always gonna try everything to get the best result possible, and he's ALWAYS wringing the car for everything it's worth.
Webber has had an awful weekend, making far too many mistakes and putting himself in dangerous situations. I personally would have been furious in Hamilton's situation, though I do agree he needs to start making his own decisions regarding strategy rather than relying on the team all the time, still it added to the race!! I think Webber should be penalised (10 place grid penalty next race is fair IMO) after outbraking himself and taking out Hamilton, it was looking like Hamilton had a real shot at taking Alonso and potentially Massa and Kubica there. Alonso's defending up to that point though was of course brilliant, always compromising the entry phase to get a better exit and keep Lewis back.
I feel sorry for Vettel again, he deserves better. Awesome job by Kubica though, and of course Button, making the right call at the right time (though no doubt influenced by losing out to Hamilton on the inters), should make for some great inter team battles this year!
It's very unlikely that My3id Gaming #2 will participate unfortunately, at least in qualifying. Other things have gotten in the way and there isn't enough interest from other teams and drivers to make it worthwhile for now.
Personally I love these cars, when the new patch comes out I'd be all over an event like this so I hope the organiser(s) don't lose heart!
And if you're feeling nice you could PM me for my email to stick in the referral box when you sign up as it gets me $10 free credits haha!
I'm gonna try and do the 2 hours of Sebring myself this month, should be great now that our internet is sorted again. Hopefully lots of other LFS'ers join in too like the Rolex.
Disaster for me. I timed out 3 times during qualifying, each time during my flying lap. The time I ended up setting was the first flying lap I managed to complete.
I had an OK start for the sprint race, though I was passed by one of the RAC's alongside me. Unfortunately Niall got caught up in some contact with Klouczech and then me as I had no room to go on the inside, nor have I seen the replay for exactly what happened. Anyway after that I was hoping Niall would catch and pass Troy, but Troy was a little too strong, so I had to pass Niall instead. A couple of minutes after passing Niall, my internet died yet again, and that was that. I couldn't get it to work at all for the final race, sorry if I made anyone wait.
I'm finding it a struggle to get up to speed in LFS these days, and going into this race without practice hurt me quite a lot. Qualifying wasn't very good at all, though I was lucky to not place lower than 4th.
The sprint race was more of the same, where again my driving was pretty messy, but with Niall unfortunately timing out, I was able to get 3rd.
I only managed to get my pace sorted over half way through the main race, by which time Troy had passed me. I knew I still had a good chance to catch and re pass him if I got my head down, and the last several laps were very intense, I felt as though we really couldn't have been pushing any harder, and I just couldn't get enough slipstream to make a pass before the end, so another 3rd place it was.
Grats to Rudy though, again flawless performance, me and Troy have our work cut out if we're gonna fight for the champ!
I know I'm not Bluebird. Well the prices for anything by Logitech etc are currently a rip off, so I would definately recommend the AE's referred to in the OP for that budget.
