Quote from BlueFlame :I said the sump ripped itself off, I didn't say it was pissing out. Either way, there was a dank ammout.

It's a wonder engine I guess, there was a video on youtube by some Russian guy who did the same thing, and he kept posting videos of it, there is a defect in the casting around the sump plug and the sump plug gets pulled out, and some.

I'm trying to find the video, it astounded me, but I'm telling you, it's true. I didn't believe it myself until I saw it, but this Citroen took a damn long time to die.

I'm fully aware of engine friction when there's no oil present because I read up alot after this happened, it could be the guy was putting some kind of lubricant in with the fuel, that I don't know, I guess two stroke oil may work , or something similar that doesn't take too much trouble to burn.

I know you didn't say it was pissing out, I did. With no sump, where else would the oil go?

And no, putting 2 stroke oil into the fuel tank of a 4 stroke engine would do nothing, probably worse than nothing.

Quote from BlueFlame :You can run alot of cars on no oil, it's not going to instantly destroy your engine, did nobody tell you that oil tends to never dry up?

I can't believe you're being serious, that's astounding. It is catastrophic to an engine to run with no oil.

It doesn't matter if oil doesn't dry, you said it was flowing out of a massive hole in the sump, so there would be none left. You really are something else.

So, a save game decrypter has been released for the PS3, is there any chance someone could post up their save game? I'm absolutely scunnered by the repetitiveness of the lower classes in shit underpowered cars, so would be great if someone could post one up.

Thanks.

Quote from BlueFlame :0 oil pressure yes. It's not a race car, it won't matter, as long as there is residue of oil inside the cylinders. He didn't fill it up once with oil. It was a "lets see how long it will go for" deal.

You're trolling, right? It doesn't matter if it's an F1 car or a lawnmower, a car with no oil will not survive 3 months. It will barely last 3 minutes.

With only 2 cars per race, it's not a big deal buying the other car, as you'll probably drive it anyway. Once they get bigger and better multi-class racing, like ALMS Prototype, GT, GT2 etc they will probably fix it so you don't have to buy 4 or 5 different cars to go racing.

Quote from BlueFlame :Sump had a big gaping hole in it, practically the whole underside ripped off, believe what you will, I'm not liberating that information because I like Citroens (because I don't) or because I'm trying to big up the AX. I'm saying it cos it was true.

So the engine had 0 oil pressure and had oil pissing out of it constantly? Having to stop every mile and put more oil in would have been quite annoying.

Buy on condition, avoid diesels, maximum tax and MOT ( or whatever the equivalent is in Germany).

Blueflame, bullshit.

They did know about it, that's why Spa Classic still started on the new grid, now they have found a way to fix the bug they have moved it to the correct grid.

I've not done one myself, but apparently the Jetta is much faster in a straight line, with the MX5 faster through the corners. Similar in style to the C6R/Radical system I imagine, although that does get a little annoying sometimes. I should really get involved with the Grand-Am races, multi-class racing is much better with an actual gap between laptimes.

Even with a ****ed arm Mackie you would be much better at holding a line than some of the people I've came across in the trucks at Dayona this week .

You can race with the MX5 in the multiclass series with the Jetta at loads of track, looks like good fun.

Robert Kubica being asked "Was it always a dream of yours to drive for Lotus?"

"I think Lotus is our sponsor. At least from what I know it is a sponsor. So I could also say it is my dream to drive for Total."

Quote from MoMo92i :I like that Le Mans american sauces race quite interesting and close

Something I think really interesting is that American have some close race because their rules offers a pretty close technologies with some constructor (Riley, Coyote, Lola, Dallara for chassis and BMW, Porsche, Chevy, Ford...for engine) whereas in Europe we think that if we restrict cars, constructor wouldn't come and we have only Peugeot and Audi for the win...funny

Grand-Am racing is completely different from ALMS.

You can use the Rear wing in Q.

However, the Rear wing automatically goes back to normal position as soon as you brake, so not a problem. Yes, the drivers have to hit Kers and the Wing at the start of a straight, but that's not the most difficult thing in the world.

Brake balance happens halfway down the straight when you're no longer pressing kers or wings, so not an issue. There is no front wing adjustment.

I've been playing quite a bit with the COT over the past day, it feels a good bit better on the tracks I have like Daytona, Charlotte, Atlanta, Martinsville and Texas, but there is something seriously wrong at Michigan, the car simply has no grip, it now slides up the track like nothing I've ever experienced before but the rear has absolutely no grip aswell, trying to put any power down at all just spins up the wheels, even at 50% throttle, and there is a strange issue coming out of turn 4 where the rear end snaps round uncontrollably, even off throttle. It is almost completely undrivable and something is seriously broken.

Everything else feels good though, the F1 car feels great now, less bouncing and better low speed traction and grip, it really is a joy to drive now. The MX5 and the Star Mazda, which already felt fantastic, now feel a lot better.

I still can't see rFactor being very good online outside of league racing, LFS and iRacing both have the advantage of being able to jump online and not worry about having to get the right version of mods, that kind of thing. Even NKP suffers with this for tracks.

I also can't see the physics/tyres being better than LFS or iRacing, especially when the new tyre models come out for both.

rFactors mods, although they are a downside for online gaming, are great for single player. If what they're saying is right and the AI is going to be better it will be a good game for just running laps offline against the AI, especially with the 60's era F1 car and classic Spa, I would buy it for that alone.

F1 season looks really good, I'm going to concentrate on that and the Nascar class A series this season, should be a good one with tons of participation because of the Pro qualifying. I quite fancy running the Indy car aswell, especially on the ovals, with probably the Radical and C6R on the road aswell to give me a break from the F1 car. I quite fancy running a bit of Grand-Am aswell, but i'm going to skint myself with all the content I need to buy.

New build is being rolled out at lunchtime GMT tomorrow, should be interesting.

A 26" 1080p TV didn't even cost me £200, it doesn't cost thousands for a decent HDTV.

And for me, the biggest benefit is with my PS3. The difference between SD and HD is absolutely massive, and once you have played on an HD TV you can't go back to playing on an SD TV anymore.

Also, I have my TV mounted on my wall, something which I couldn't do if it had 3 feet of TV behind the screen, which all SD tv's do. Every single new TV is HD ready, are you suggesting people go out of there way to find a shitty ancient huge TV just for a slightly better SD picture?

Quote from BlueFlame :If that's all you have, why not?

If it ain't broke don't fix it and for the record FPS = frames per second in this context, not first person shooter.

No shit, really? I seriously thought you were talking about first person shooters.

Why not? Because HD is ****ing awesome, that's why. Nascar and Indycar both look fantastic in HD, and F1 will aswell.

Quote from BlueFlame :HD is more FPS, you don't notice a difference unless the video is being played back at unhuman speeds. Fact.

Theres nothing wrong with regular TV, I can still SEE the image, who cares what quality it is.

HD is nothing to do with either Frames per second or First person shooters, it's just a resolution difference, either 1280x720 or 1920x1080. When compared to SDs pathetic 640x480, it is a massive difference. A film like the Dark Knight in 1080p is absolutely awesome and so much better than watching it in SD.

With your logic, you might aswell watch TV on a £10 5" TV, after all you are still seeing the same image, right?
