What graphics settings and resolution are you using? Cause I mean, I'm using an 8600GTOC and have it maxed out, 4xAA, 16X AF at 1680x1050 and maintain 120-170 fps, but low as 70's with full field of AI.
Anways you must have a damn good processor, I'm curious.

Well, this new Acer isn't nearly as bad, in gaming I don't notice it at all, but say, if I have a small window open, and move it across the screen, it gets a little blurry, but, since this doens't really matter, and it games just fine, I'm ok with it.

I'm starting to think it's the size of the monitor, cause my old acer 19" I had last year didn't do it at all, was clear as a CRT when there's motion, also my old acer 17", was perfect too.

I'm definitely staying with Acer until I can test another brand before buying, so far Acers have been best for me, although I'm still considering the possibility it can be fixed. My new one is 5ms responce time, to my knowledge this is supposed to eliminate ghosting all together, but so far not true.
I'd be really surprised if it's only a problem with high resolution monitors, but still, since it's 5ms, I just find it amazing there's any ghosting at all, 5ms is incredibly fast.

Back in the day I had an Acer 19, the older one I mentioned before, it has 8ms, and had no ghosting at all. I hope someone here can give me some insight, I know my way around a PC, but this has me at a complete loss.

Edit: These newer monitors are still very good, I remember back in '00 my friend bought a new, very expensive dell, all tricked out, and it came with a 19" flat panel, and the ghosting was so bad you coulnd't play games at all, it looked horrible, like the images on the screen were smearing everywhere.

Never mind, I took it back and got an Acer 20", it has the same issues, so I guess all monitors do this. Or am I missing something? I thought newer LCD's didn't have these blur/ghosting issues.

Question about new monitor

I bought a new HP w1907 19" widescreen, had a 17" crt, uhg, anyways I just have a quick question. I've noticed in the desktop, moving windows around, and in games, a very slight blur. In games it's barely noticable, not really a problem, but on the desktop, when I drag windows around it has a blur to it, as the window moves across the screen, is this normal? I thought it would be as clear as my old CRT, is there maybe a setting or something? Or maybe I need to manually set a certain mode, it has several to choose from, but I have only changed one, to gaming, and it does the same thing, well, on the desktop, did test the gaming setting in a game. It's 5ms responce time and 1000:1 contrast ratio. It's been a really long time since I've used a LSD so I can't remember if it's normal, but I thought with a 5ms it should look as perfect as my CRT did, there was no blur at all, ever. Thanks much in advance, cause ohterwise the monitor is outstanding.

Any input would be a great help, need to know if it's normal for such a quick LCD, if not I want to return it. Thanks must in advance.

EDIT: See post below>>>

Ahh, the Falcon, that would be such a dope car to have!!!

Ahh, ok. They're factory fitted too, it all is, I guess he thought I added all of it, like, trying to make it look cool, it's just a part of the 35th anniversary package. Here's a pic of another 35th, it's all stock...

Hey do you know much about stangs, I noticed your name and figure maybe ya do, anyways if you do I have a question I can't find an answer to. Since I don't really like these inserts, especially the fake hood scoop, I was wondering if a shaker hood and upper intake from a Mach 1 of the same year would fit, cause it would still resemble the 35th anny, but would be functional and actually serve a purpose.

Do you play any other games? If so do you have any other graphical anomalies? If so, you may need to update your video driver, see below* Otherwise, backup anything you want to keep, skins, replays, profile/sets, and reinstall the game, it's so easy it's worth a try.

If this doesn't help, then you'll want to update your video driver, if you have the newest driver, reinstall it, but use driver sweeper>>>

Available here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1655#download

*Uninstall driver, don't reboot, run driver sweeper, reboot, install new driver, reboot, you should be good.

It's weird, companies are producing demo's on CD now, for example I was at best buy the other day buying memory, and they had the World of Warcraft 14 day trial for $1.99, in a cheap little cardboard binder hah.. It's free to download all over the web.

its got a hood scoop with black paint around it and purely ornamental air intakes on the back

It's a 35th anniversary edition, the paint, hood scoop, etc, is factory fitted, look it up
. And they're not air intakes, it's a Magnaflow racing exhaust, how can I drag race a car with a stock exhaust? I'm not going to participate in a flame war, I like this forum too much, get over it.

You're kidding right? It's only a car, and I'm a huge motorsports fan and love drag racing, naturally I own such a car, you shouldn't be so presumptuous. I don't see the irony you speak of, it's not what a person owns. For some people, their material posessions own them, I like to think I'm not one of them.

I have a quick question that's related, and don't wanna start a new thread. I tried using the Nvidia control panel to enable AA and it doesn't do anything, and I think I've read on here somewhere that other people have had the same issue, and some have had to enable AA for all games to get it to work. Any idea's? I certainly don't want it on all games, would kill my performance in Quake Wars and Crysis.

LOl, that is a completely custom built car, stripped to save weight, and 46k pounds.... Sholdn't compare a street car to a race car built for top speed records, plus they're very very different. That car would be an absolute nightmare on a racetrack, and I'm curious how reliable an 850hp 4 cylinder like that is... Still a dope car though, but bad comparison. But as far as purpose built cars, there's always a 2000hp mustang

Did it actually reboot? If not and nothing else works, hold the power button to shut it off, wait ten seconds then power it back on, and you may want to run scandisk if it doesn't prompt you to.

It's actually a decent card, it will run older games very well, and maybe, some newer ones. But honestly it only seems great when upgrading from integrated graphics, or a D3D8 card. It uses DDR2 memory, which really hurts. I had a NX8500GT 512MB and it worked great for Doom 3, LFS, games like that. Those frame rates are most likely your cpu running away with it.
If your card manufacturer has some kind of step-up program, consider a 8600GT OC, or 8600GTS. In any case, since it was cheap, you can do what I did, when I had my older system I wanted to play the Quake Wars demo, it struggled, I used Riva Tuner 2.0 and overlcocked the hell out of it, got a good 10% increase, still not so good, but for the price, may as well squeze every frame ya can, that is, if you play other games. If you're just a simmer I would leave it be, plenty for LFS. Anyways ya can't beat the price, for a new item with a warrenty.

After thinking about it for a long time, I think a 4WD LX and GT car would be great, perhaps an Audi rip-off.

I gotta say WOW myself, those are incredible frame rates for that cpu. I mean, once you hit like 100fps, for most people, it's the cpu runnin away with it, I didn't even get that with my old athlon64 3700.

Quote from -DrftMstr- :american engine goes accordingly to their rate of obesity, so if he HEMI 6.1L is out, it also means, look out for Godzillas around.

meh bad joke

but seriously, i think american cars need a higher cc because they are not good enough to make a 2.0L crank 210hp, so they use a V6 to do so lol.

e.g. Pontiac Soltice 2.4L I4 177hp
Jap equivilent Honda S2000 2.2L I4 240hp

lol i wouldn't even compare a RB26DETT with another 6 cylinder

You're mostly right, but you'll never get this out of a 4 cylinder

That motherboard supports all PCI-Express video cards, it even has room for the very high end cards that take up two slots. As long as it's PCI-Express, go ahead and grab it, you'll be good. Again, a mistake many make is not having sufficient power, if it's a high-end card, make sure your power supply has sufficient power and the needed power dongles. If it requires a specific dongle for power, that your power supply doesn't have, the card may have an adapter, if so then you're good.

If this doesn't help, post the video card you want, and the power supply you have, and we can tell you if it's sufficient.
