I have decided to get some ram for my old Laptop - which my dad is using. I need to find out what type of ram it is before I actully purchase any. Is there any websites which will tell me the information as the boot up screen is way to quick for me!

Oh right thanks for that. Will the Ram make a big difference? Because it has a delay when loading microsoft word or Internet Explorer. - Also what would you recommend (512mb or 1gb?)

Now my older laptop which is around 12months old has a 1.2 Processor and a whopping 256mb ram with a 40gb HDD. The hard drive isnt a problem for my dad! but he wants to upgrade it abit so it just has abit more power whilst he uses it now and then. I also baught for it a Netgear Wireless 108MBPS Rangemax usb card and a new transformer! Now the processor and the ram is abit rubbish, so does anyone have any advice on how to make it faster? E.g What would make the best performance?

This is because they downloaded the textures off a cruise website to show this. It can become really handy if your a cruiser to show you what side you should be on. Look on the Citylifecrew.net website under downloads its all there. You can even have the tarmac darker etc! There is many for different tracks etc

Thanks for the info, I will try that. I don't know what profiller im using lol, I downloaded the newest software off the Logitech Website. I was wondering, what steering compensation do you use? Im trying to figure out one which will suit!

Hi,

I have a 3 month old Logitech Formula EX. It is playing up, for example on LFS it will move side to side, go light and hardly turn and have a weird lag. I have reinstalled it but I am still having issues but not as many. It is starting to drive my head in now after a month I have ignored it and never got round to reinstall it. I have calibrated it and everything but, I am messing with the settings which is making it abit better on LFS.

Has anyone got any ideas or setup for LFS as it will be very appreciated.

1) It depends because I do know a few people on mouse who a pretty fast. When I change off mouse to wheel Im slightly faster - This is because you have throttle control, and brake control. It can be abit on etc intead of you accerater being either on or off aswell as your brake. Your PB of 1.38.18 is pretty off the pace but not to worry. I was doing the same times as you where when I first started out. I got into the 1.37 about 4 days after I had LFS. Seen as your a demo racer, put in google INFERNO LFS and a setup field will come up - Pretty useful if you cant be bothered doing your own. But your setup is to suit YOU not the previous owner, you may both have different driving ways. My brother spent alot of time doing is own setup on single player and got down to a 1.33.90 round Blackwood!

3)Its not possible to transfer S2 Licences from one account to another LFS Account as people would start selling them. Trust me LFS S2 is worth EVERY penny! But are you considering on buying it?

Edit : To your Question 2 you must of added : The skins you can only use is the ones in the LFS but you can choose your colours etc. You can have skins uploaded on S2 where they are automaticly downloaded (You can pay for £1 for every 2000 skins download for much better graphic skins)- You automaticly upload them to www.LFSWorld.net. Unless you get the opoment to download your skin and put it in there Skins folder which can be found in your Data folder, no one will be able to see it - Thats another good thing to buy s2 lol!

I thought they did balance them though in X? The last thing you really want to do is add mass onto the car because this will effect the handling of the car. It will either give it and advantage/disadvantage, into/in/out of the corner. I would prefbely go for Intake ristriction. But then again Rb4 is 4 wheel drive and the Fxo is 2 wheel drive so the Rb4 will either bog down out of the corner with 4 wheel drive, but may also pull it aswell with the spread of power as in some circumstances the FXO tends to wheel spin at low gears/high revs and you go wide with lack of grip and loose more time . So I would think on a slow twisty tight track go for the FXO but on a fast longer track go for the RB4 (Especially offroad)?

I am just at the end of making a Layout and I cannot have more that one start the race. I would be after a grid up to 32 people BUT I can only fit one on is there any trick around this. I am creating a start position but this is only for one car?

lol, I did a massive post about this with a pole aswell. Apparetly there was some program which would do this but I never bothered to be honest, just kept with the pain!

I get around 80FPS on Full graphics - Best one possible with everything on E.g Rims, Skins etc. I get this on a fullish grid - Is that good?

To be honest if you want to be competitive buy a wheel! I have a £45 wheel and I have already got through one of them and my second one is vertiually new. My old wheel last me a year with a few little repairs but I abused it ALOT. If I rolled I would hit it as hard as I could... If the internet went down I would do it the same!

But Is it worth while getting a G25, do they make a 'massive' difference???

I think really this should be in the improvement section. Now More to the point the physics. The physics in the game arnt the best but still need improvment I think. Also I really think which is crucial is weather and damage of cars. Damage - Bumpers can come off, Lights can smash, windows can crack, dints, scrapes, missing panels etc. Weather different climate control, snow, rain sunny etc. TUNING ENGINES
