I dont remember which version this was, but that was back when I was playing with a gamepad, waaay baack... In a demo server race, somebody bumped me, and I heard a huge boom (like somebody would slap me with a shovel) and an engine cut out, next thing I know, im floorin it, but the car aint movin, then I switched to outside view, IMAGINE my surprise

I can verify that G25 eats pc performance and other way around...
Since I have a real weak pc, and I had bad fps before g25...
I can play Richard Burns Rally with keyboard almost on all high, with g25 , on low with stuttering xD
And in lfs... my fps sometimes goes to 2fps... and the wheel actually starts smelling and gets hot and gets like holes in its FF in a 20lap race with 12fps being the most all the time.. So yeah, I think its something with the response time, since I really felt the difference in response time when changing from formula force gp to g25.. I tried reinstalling the usb itself, the wheel drivers etc.. Nothing helped...

OMG I just had an awesome image pop into my mind =) Can any of you make renders of Richard Burns Rally skins ? Or that is a whole other agenda ?

First of all, I know the skins arent too good. Infact.. you may call them bad. But. I really want a render of the skins I have made
The FZR was my 1st skin attempt ever... and then I didnt quite know how to use PS either at all, but it looks good ingame especially the front. The sides suck.....
The xrt yellow I think would look good as a render even tough it isnt finished and probably never will be.
The xrt wierd skin, I think it will look good as a render.
The rb4 is.... I didnt know what to make then... I took a public skin as a base.. So.. I would be thankful if someone would render these.. So I wouldnt make bad skins anymore... Anyway tnx

5cars is way enough.... actually.. my fps sux with 3cars already, but still somehow I manage, because its not just low fps but stuttery at places.. 4+cars is a kill.. a 10car race @ start grid is pwnage if im not first on the line.. and even then fps sujx and my graphics I think except for a bearable resolution is the lowest almost..
But I always thought, my graphics card aint bad.. heres a link to it.. ofcourse there is the thing that its on 4x agp and not 8x due to mb..

yeah. I have a 256mb that came with pc, and then few years back I bought and added 512mb , I dont remember, but the ram seemed to be compatible...
Btw.. shouldnt my pc be able to aleast turn on the NFS:PS demo ? I mean, just wanted to check it out, but when the intros end, and you are asked to click any button, I click it and get a "dont send"

Everyone on this forum keeps saying, that the graphics card is the most important component to play lfs, but I am very sure, that its the CPU that doesnt allow me playing this... another wierd thing, maybe this helps someone helping me xD An equivalent pc, a lil older, actually a tad worse than mine, with a shittier graphics card (gforce 2 i think.. 32mb) but with a p4 1.6ghz cpu.. It so could run the Battlefield 2 multiplayer, it took long to load, lowest graphics, but PLAYABLE ! My pc was always running better than that friends.. BUT. I cant play bf2 at all o_0 it loads faster than that other pc, but , no mather what graphics, my fps I think is ~3 .. I didnt figure that one out at all... And as basic software goes, there should be no f**k ups there... win Xp is good, got the latest forceware 163.71 drivers, and some stuff runs good xD

Hmm, I kinda thought this out in my head, but still, double checking
I have a 1.8ghz celeron , 768mb ram , leadtek 256mb FX5700 a360TDH I think, some semi crappy motherboard I guess... the thing is, I got a g25 as a gift.. But I cant enjoy it 100%... for instance, RBR is not an option anymore, I remeber playing rbr on HIGH with keyboard, the game stutters alot with g25 + LOW graphics... and in lfs... alone its really good, some 30, maybe 40fps, but smooth and good.. But multiplayer...with two cars , the fps is still ok in an empty server, but as more cars are in close proximity, I get fps even below 10.. sometimes even ~6... Usually, as the race starts, I try to get somewhere offroad immediatly , and then catch up gradually, the first lap in a smaller track usually never goes over 10% .. I mean, the wheel isnt that good then either, hence the reaction time... But looking at figures, my pc isnt THAT outdated or is it ? should I even bother doing some low cash upgrade, or just start saving for a new beast ? ... lil offtopic.. but it seems this is what is being discussed here..
