Brad's a punk. Punk's get put in their place, and he did. He's just like Kyle Busch. He pushes people out of the way all day long, and that's just fine, but if someone does it to him, he's up in arms and angry. You gotta be able to take it to give it, and Brad learned that.
It's not demo derby NASCAR, it's real racing. Real drivers are back, not fake people just wearing logos with NASCAR holding their leash. NASCAR stuck to their guns, and I'm proud of them for it. For years I've begged NASCAR to stick to their promises and not go back on what they say. They said this year, the drivers handle their own business, and that's what they're doing. I, for one, have been wanting this for years, and think they handled the situation perfectly.
Now all we need to do is get rid of the stupid chase, and NASCAR is perfect.
I see where Carl's coming from honestly. You can only take so much, and Brad pushes everybody around. I'm not saying Carl was right or wrong, but somebody had to put Brad in his place. Carl didn't wanna hurt anybody, and he explained that. I think they should probably park both of them. Brad brings it on him self mostly, and needs to know that his actions won't go unpunished either.
He should be parked for one race. It was a stupid move, but he didn't expect that to happen. Frankly, with the spoiler that would have been just a lazy spin into the wall instead of a flip that could have killed him. Park Carl next week, and just let them race.
Probably gonna check out a few around here. There's one close by but I'm not a big fan of it. There's a couple in North Florida that are close enough, and also a couple in Southern Mississippi. There's options
100% behind Dan on this one. The world's going to hell in a handbasket over politically correct nonsense. If something offends you, tough ****, this is life, not a fantasy land.
What really makes me mad is people who complain about TV shows or movies being offensive. Look, if you're offended, don't watch it!
Been a while since an update. We've recently been just saving money here and there to get some parts ordered. We're just now beginning to make legitimate progress on the car.
The frame is pretty much ready to be stripped and painted(Grabber Blue ). I just built a new from bumper and seat mounting brackets this weekend, so the frame is nearly complete. We've nearly got enough to order a few major parts we need(A couple front suspension pieces, fuel cell, radiator, etc.), and the body should be ordered shortly after the frame is painted.
I'm still working on the paint livery to be run. I just can't seem to get it perfect. Plenty of time still for that though. I suppose that's pretty much it for now. I'll post back with more progress soon hopefully. Until then, here's a pic of the new bumper. I finally got to put my newly acquired welding skills to some real use.
This debate is getting old. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but come on you don't have to force it on people. At least when Tristsan does it, he's correct.
There's no cheap motorsport. Racing is probably the most financially draining hobby you could have. I'm building my modified at the moment, and I will probably only lose money from here on out. Amateur racing doesn't pay much of anything. To me that's good, because it, usually, keeps out the rich guys with the 100 grand cars. Just race for the passion and do it for fun. That's what really matters. If you make a career out of it, great, but don't let that put a huge weight on your shoulders, and take away from what racing is truly about.
They tested it on the news a few days ago. It's something in the electrics that keeps the engine at high revs no matter what you do to the pedal. The test driver on the news tried using the brakes, but they couldn't hold it. He just popped it in neutral no problem, and turned the key. A little presence of mind would have saved many lives honestly.
