Just a question. Why not just meet on the server?
It seems to me that (suggestion already made earlier) an event sign-in list seems more effective.

Looks very interesting. Since the qualifying is a day before the race is the race on Sundays? And what time?
One weekend in every month I have to work on Saturdays till 19.00 gmt and on Sundays till 18.00 gmt. I hope the race will be later than 18.00 gmt. And if not qualified will I be able to race?
If it fits my schedule I would really want to join.

Good work Strudders. Too bad it is on Saturdays. I won't be able to race.
Good luck with the series.

Yes too bad. I was at a barbecue and I hurried to get here for the feature race to read it is postponed. I already thought it was awfully quite on the forum.
I really want to stress out the starttime again. I can't imagine nobody else has difficulties with the time. Maybe if the admin would allow it we can do a poll .
Here in The Netherlands it's right after diner. In the UK it's almost during dinner. That could be the cause that so few people showed up.

I can't make it do the whole event Sunday
I think I can only do the feature race so expect me to join late.
I don't know if any other racers have difficulties with the starttime, if so I would like to ask the admins to reconsider the starttime of the events

Another question
Is the starttime already fixed at 17.00 GMT?
I think it's a kind of early. I totally forgot but sometimes I have to work till 18.00 GMT once in a month. And unfortunately also on the second race . I could make the feature race without qualifying but is that allowed?

I have a few questions:

Is refuelling allowed during a pitstop? In real A1 it isn't.

No traction control right?

The races have a rolling and standing start. How do we do the standing start since quallifying was earlier? How do we make the grid and start the race?

How many laps do we do? Is it always based on time + 1 lap? If you cross the finish line and it isn't clear the maximum time is reached because it is so close who determines there is another lap?

Is there a training server (other than the saturday before the race) to meet other leagueracers?

Hope to hear.

Hello I am mainly a BF1 racer and looking for a league.
This one is appealing but the starttime doesn't fit my schedule.
For me it starts at 19.00 local time but sometimes my social life conflicts with that time and I also have two little kids to attend to who aren't in bed yet that time. Is the starttime already fixed or is it possible to make a suggestion to start it an hour later?

BTW traction control isn't allowed right? I saw that in the testrace it wasn't allowed but I can't find anything about it in the rules.

Cheers,

Quote from lizardfolk :Alright, many of you know who I am, therefore many of you will also know that I dont usually complain about the game too much (unless it comes to damage models :razz. However, I would like to ask the community it's thoughts on the current LFS pits model and I would like to ask what would be needed to change to make LFS more "realistic" in terms of damage from crashes and how the pits handle them

Basically my problem is this:

During the Dystonia 350 race yesterday, I cut a tire and went straight into the wall. I was driving the FZR (but a engine damaged FZR so I was going 10 mph slower than usual). Now, after that wreck my car was almost undriveable, but still going....ok fine.

I went into the pits and it took about 50 seconds to make my car completely new again (apart from the engine damage as pits doesnt repair that).

Does this seem realistic to you that the pits can literally repair absolutely anything?

I mean my incident almost mirrors this crash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkpxSu5oJeg

The only difference was that my tire blew during the turn instead of at the exit of the turn and I didn't hit the inside wall (although I would have if Kyoto was as tight as Bristol so that's pretty realistic ). That car immediately retired after that crash....however, I was able to get the car repaired in just over 50 seconds and came back out like nothing had ever happened. I was even able to come out of the pits with just one lap down.

I've seen people retire from much lighter wrecks than that and this as got me thinking.

Should the pits just magically repair everything and the car will run like nothing had ever happen to it? I know if the pits had a stricter repair model that it would suck for people to get into wrecks that wasn't their fault and retire due to too much damage....BUT....isn't that a big part of racing as well?

Also, my contact with the wall was pretty severe and yet I was fully able to continue. I went straight into the wall at 162 mph...why was I able to continue? Should the car axis damage be incorporated? Is it engine damage that wouldn't allow the car to continue? What features would have to be introduced in order for me to mimic Jeff Burton's situation in which I just had to retire and couldn't possibly continue?

Good point.
I did some races at FE and the curbs are really heavy on the car.
I try to ease on my suspension but the loss of time is to big. It's more rewarding trashing your suspension and get it repaired (in longer races).

BTW
I did not notice any difference driving with a half damaged suspension.
Should not be the handling of the car much more difficult?

Anyone?
It seems it lags out.
I have tried everything I know.
Switched routers.
Firewall off
Forwarding ports
ping test works
tracetest works

That is very unlikely. Since I have this problem since the beginning.
Lost connection to host

Hello,

I am new to LFS and just starting to race online. I mean trying to race online.
After 20 seconds I get disconnected with the announcement: Lost connection to host.

It has happened with several servers and I had a ping under 25ms with all of them. Spectating was not a problem though.

Any help?
