Worst practice session ever!
First of all, I want to apologize to drivers that I`ve had contact with, specially to Branislav (car 101). In lap 36 after T2, Mr. Williamson, car 20, was inpatient and bumped me into you, witch caused you to spin outside track. Also, I`m sorry for contact and little bit of blocking to Mr. Cikrle car 05 in lap 39 I think.

I wont file a protest or complaint, but need to say a few things:

Just after passing the S/F line in lap 15, car 78 (Mr. Sutton from FM), hits me cause he didn`t bother to look left. This causes huge mess, taking four of us for a spin.
Not so much damage, but then car 20 (Mr. Williamson) arrives at full speed and rams into back of my car. I can`t understand his logic when he could clearly see tire smoke and YELLOW FLAG (look at snapshot or better replay, he wont lift until it`s too late, and even doesn`t try to evade nor brake).

Please guys, be more aware of people around you!

Smoothest oval racing I`ve had so far, happened with racers who follow FM rules.
I think of my self as oval noob, but listening to advices from experienced oval drivers thought me to look and listen around me all the time and to be very patient, specially after restarts.
For me the worst case scenario would be if I take out someone from the race cause I did a stupid mistake. It could happen to anyone but if you`re aware of cars around you all the time, incidents could be avoided.
Made a couple mistakes in earlier practice sessions, but used that to improve my oval driving.
As time goes by, lap by lap, I`m getting into position in which I`m taken out by less experienced or less patient drivers - it feels awful when someone rams into your car or slams you into the wall.
Once again, DON`t BLOCK OTHERS and BE PATIENT!

Finished the race, but no one was in the mood to draft with me, probably `cause my engine was failing again. I really need to see what is wrong with gearing.

AND I DON`T LIKE WIND CONDITIONS!

But just to mention something, drivers from back of the field should at least read some previous posts concerning behavior when overtaking and leaving room for others to re-pass.

Today I`ve experienced how it`s like when there`s 3 cars in T3, and you`re in the middle. There was a couple of contacts that could have been avoided, but the my damage was bearable.

I`m starting to really get the point about "PATIENCE" and team work in oval racing.

DON`T DRIVE ON YOUR OWN, IT`S POINTLESS!!!!!

Your hopes are down!

What a mess of a race!
Will watch the replay and post some more thoughts about it.

Was doing OK until someone crashed and again, I ended up being collateral damage!
To make things worst, after spinning, I ended up in the pit lane, but my car was undriveable. Rescue car pushed me to pit stop, but "repair damages" was OFF (my own idiotic fault!).

And like a cream to a cake, my connection got lost, and that`s all from me.
Rejoined just to watch who will make it till the end.

Wish I had more luck, but let`s move on to next race!

It`s good to know that there are people willing to help.

@ Ori
I agree with you about reactions (or lack of reactions) by Race Control. As you all remember I`ve made some beginners mistakes in first practices, but now, after some helpful advices from experienced fellow racers and a lot of practice I hope that I won`t be causing problems.

Once again, it would be great if we all obey FM oval racing rules!
If something is regulated by the rules and sanctioned, less people would decide to drive by their own rules.
We`re making progress!

Very good practice race for me, finished 9th (my highest was 7th).
Managed to avoid big collision at the end.
This time I had very bad restarts, need to think about that and also about drafting which was not very good. There was a couple of cars trying to do the draft with me, but either my set is not good or I`m not fully ready for it. When it comes to drafting, I think that rules at FM should be applied here. There was some chaotic overtaking from both sides tonight, and I`m sure that was the cause of the accidents.

I agree with Agarash about the pace under SC, we should really try to keep a constant speed.
I was bumped under one of SC periods, and in the other I needed to brake and leave the field so I don`t hit the car in front, and that costed me a couple of positions.

Sorry for side contacts I`ve made a few times, but it was so tight around me.

Thanks for good race!

Here is the skin that I`m planning to use for KY500.
Please take a look and evaluate if it`s according to rules.

I just wanted to remind all racers to obey these rules:

1. No tire warming - causes yellow flag during SC, `cause nobody keeps steady pace!

2. Pitting during SC and pitting while green - Look for the cones after T3 and enter between them during SC period, and during normal racing conditions (GREEN) enter using apron before T3!

3. No overtaking during SC - Even if lapped car is in front of you, hold your current position. If you lose your position during SC (spin, error,...), don`t try to regain position. Stay at position that you ended up after recovering!

Q: Why don`t we use "ideal racing line" (shown when you press 4) for single file formation during SC?

Now, everyone is using his own path without any sense to the racer behind him, and I think that this is the main reason for bumps during SC.

First to say I`m sorry if I (81) caused some incident (I think not!).
I was so frustrated by the fact that after every crash in front of me I didn`t managed to pass by without damage.
Even worst, was so confused that every time I went to pit for repairs, forgot to turn the pit limit (thanks to RC for clearing one of my penalties).
Finally, I`ve been overlaped, didn`t have anyone to draft with, ....
Hope that when the real thing starts I would have much better luck.

I was so damn carefull this time, so I didn`t had a chance to compete.
My race set is slow, and was loaded with fuel, which was a burden concerning so much SC laps (left with 20% after finish).
My only driving mistake involved contact with car 6 at some point of race. Sorry m8 for closing you at start/finish, saw too late that I didn`t left enough room for you.
Glad that you didn`t suffer too much damage after that, and was able to continue.

In lap 27, I was spuned by car 33 during SC. When I looked at replay, it seams that he didn`t touched me, but I was catapulted. I`m afraid that was some lag issue, or LFS bug, so no hard feelings m8. If I was lagging, I`m very sorry for that.

I would like to point out to some bad things that is repeating and hope that Race Control would try to solve it:

1. If SC is on track, there`s no overtaking, speed is limited,etc...
Q: Is it allowed to leave a pack after T3, then slam the throttle and rush towards the pit entrance with 200mph, while others are doing 85mph?

2. Please try to solve "speed limit" issue during SC, `cause nobody maintains constant speed, and nobody leaves enough gap between the cars. There was so many back slams and Yellow flags during SC, it`s embarrassing to broadcast.

3. Can you move people from ventrilo to some other "room" if they`re gonna shout while "team drafting" (eg. "go inside now, not now, i don`t have enough speed", etc...). I`m sure that RC can speak to them even if the others can`t.
It wasn`t so distracting, but better to stop it now.

Quote from Raven88 :
No see if was you that we are worried about.

Please explain this sentence `cause I don`t understand it.

I don`t want to argue about our race paths, who did what, etc...
I`m really sorry for all the mess and would like to say that I`m going to be extra cautious in feature races.

Quote from Raven88 :
With still a month left to go and for everyone in LFSCart the speedweeks, there is plenty of time to learn the oval. And with 30 racers things are going to be nuts.

Thanks for saying this, because my main concern was not to be excluded from any event for one mistake. Many others caused similar incidents, but nobody attack them or propose exclusion.

Quote from JO53PHS :I'm just posting some extra incidents here to save Deko sifting the replay

Lap and Timecode: Lap 38, Timecode = 42:06.00
Cars involved: 81, 88, 4, and 46, 26, 78, 707
Description of Incident: Car 81 strays to the outside of the track and collides with car 88 and 04.

More to come.

I watched the replay, and you`re right about me (car 81), straying to the outside. I wouldn`t call it straying, it was not intentional (my wheel didn`t move to outside it was the forces pushing my car outside). IMO, car 88 had a much better view of the situation and didn`t need to move towards me, since he already gave car 04 enough room to pass him. Our paths crossed and if hi lifted a throtlle pedal just a little bit or continued parallely , contact would be avoidable.
Instead, 88 contiued to move away from 04, and we made a contact that caused a whole mess.
Not to mention that car 88 had the "BLUE FLAG", but apparently didn`t mean a thing to him or maybe blue flag doesn`t mean anything in oval races, correct me if I`m wrong.

I`m writing this `cause at the end of practice race, I was called out for making an incident.
Off all the incidents prior to this one nobody said nothing. I have both real mirrors and center mirror turned ON, and didn`t see the car beside me until the contact was made.
There was so many cars arround and rushing from both inside and outside.
I have expected to see passing only from inside when the car behind catches the draft.
Tonight and in the first practice, nobody followed none of the rules that someone mentioned for OVAL racing.
I only whish that all off you "expert" racers would try to pass the knowledge of oval racing instead of bad mouthing "non expert" racers.
I was so annoyed and miss to save the replay, but as soon as I look at it I`ll post once more.
If race control decide that my driving was unsafe to that point of banning me from KY500 event, I would like to remind them that I`ve safely avoided all massive crashes that happened in front of me and finished 5th. I don`t think that was pure luck.
I really can`t tell who was the driver involved in the incident with me, but I`m really sorry that you crashed. It was not my intention to close your path in order to defend my position or something like that.

Again, I`ll watch the whole replay, until then, BR

It was a great experience for me, both qualy session and those few short races.
I have no problem using R2s, but realy need more practice when it comes to drafting.

I only wish if people would be more careful during SC, and if someone would explain to all of us the term "two files". I know that everybody here have the good knowledge of what it stands for, but nobody followed that rule. Everyone was driving on his own, looking for better starrt position, so I think we had "3 to 4 files" in some point.

Again, it was pure pleasure for me to drive with you guys, all thou I was someone else`s collateral damage a couple of times.

In sprint race I was doing OK, until internet connection went down.
Don`t know if that was server or me.

In feature race, just before the start it happened again (*$#%^&!!!!).
I want to thank the RACE CONTROL for leting me join in, an most of all want to thank them for clearing my S&G. I was so confused and eager to catch the rest of field, so I turned off speed limiter a little bit to early. Thanks again for understanding!

In lap 2, after the fast chicane, there was couple of cars that went off track, I`ve managed to pass them cleanly. And then, in the fast left didn`t see 09 - J.Sedgwick who was spinning and ended right infront of me, so I slamed him realy hard. Sorry for that m8, but you were manuvering back to track at all cost.

Gratz to all finishers, specialy ones on the podium!
