IMO, all users are entitled to post what they want, but that doesn't mean I have to see it. You don't need to rely on the mods to get this done. If enough people get fed up with a person and ignore them, it's as good as a ban.
Something is seriously wrong with you if you didn't enjoy Phillip Island last year, despite the lack of passing. Just Rossi and Stoner pushing it to the limit.
Yamaha has a video on YouTube of a little chit-chat between Spies and Lawson in which Spies states he'd like to ride a 500 some day. Lawson tells him don't bother, it'll just feel like a pile of crap to you.
I was originally going to run slicks on my SV650 but I don't have a spare set of rims yet for rains, so DOT's it is. I ran the Supercorsa Pro's last year, which are the previous generation of this line of tire. We'll see how the new ones do. I've heard a lot of good things about them.
Understeer helps to warm the fronts (don't use brakes, you'll just lock the wheels and flatspot the tires), oversteer and lots of throttle warms the rears.
Just driving laps at race pace is usually sufficient.
My dad had a 100W guitar amp that was capable of being deafeningly loud, while his 300W home audio speakers couldn't hope to match it for sheer sound output.
It's all about the efficiencies of the speaker. Home audio stuff is generally less efficient due to the need for more clarity.
Spring length is given by the motion range, visibile both in the LFS garage and in f1perfview under Suspension Travel.
I usually just drove laps until I got a good one, then grabbed the telemetry off it and looked at the Suspension Travel graph. If it went to 0 at some point, I raised the Ride Height (and thus Motion Range) and retested.
FWIW, I don't think it's possible to prevent bottoming on that corner at AS4 in the BF1. At least not without a stupidly stiff setup that sucks everywhere else.
And don't confuse people by using "dt" as a variable name. If you've ever taken calculus you'll understand.
My SV650 has a full race exhaust. It's pretty loud.
My sister's boyfriend (at the time) tried to replace the muffler on her '90 Honda CRX. He got it off and couldn't put the new one on. Somehow I got stuck driving it to the muffler shop, sans muffler. 15 miles away. Most embarrassing drive ever.
