Well, that was fun. Qualified 15th or so, but what do you expect with 0 laps done
Thought if I just keep the car on the track I have a chance on a Top10 finish. First few laps were messy, nearly lost it on the 1st chicane after I touched an ATC guy (didn't see you, sry) causing a bit of a mess behind me I guess (sorry guys).
After that I had quite a few battles, more then in the first whole four races combined I guess (I remember thinking once "How often did I pass that Zoom guy going into that chicane now" :P). Pittet quite late, wanted to see how the tyres are. First I had "Change when wear >75"), but it was quite close (I was 1 second behind that Zoom guy when he pitted (sry, I kinda forgot your name... well, I know how it sounds but I guess I can't spell it correct, so I won't even try it ) so I "pushed like a hell" in the following laps, thinking that I'll change tyres anyway, so I need every second I get. Well, I think I had like 10 laps without any traffic, managing to gain quite a bit (thought you guys might be faster because you were teammates and use your slipstream, but apparently that wasn't the case )
Thought "Hm, just 11 laps till finish, maybe I don't have to change tyres at all", so I didn't change tyres... after my stop the gap to the car behind me was a bit more then 10 seconds, so I just wanted to nurse my tyres... which went almost horribly wrong after the 2nd lap where I drifted wide after T4, loosing 2-3 seconds... which is a shame because otherwise I would have taken Cropsy. When he came out right infront me I had a look at my tyres and went for it. Was able to follow him for 2 laps or so, but had quite a scary moment in T3, a really weird drift. At first I thought my tyre popped, but no. It's still kinda weird, it felt like a slow - motion drift, FFB was completely gone... it was controllable, but totally unexpected. Anyway, after that I just wanted to finish the race
Best situation probably was our 3-wide (?) going into T1 and everybody made it through... until T2 :P
Really enjoyed that race, a lot of hard but fair fighting... that was the best race, had as much fun as in Kyoto but actually finished the race

Posting this just after I rolled my car @ T1. I was quite surprised that I could go the pace of the Top 10... first few laps were really cool, I was quite happy although I lost a few places, but boy this was fun
After it settled down a bit I began to lap consistent (not Top-3-fast, but good enough) and had some nice battles.
I really should be annoyed right now, but I dunno... I had so much fun, a way better race then in South City.
Just wished I could have brought it home, still had ~45% fuel left :S

Finished an important test at uni 1 hour ago, so I haven't done any laps yet. Will get drunk tonight, so I'll probably won't do any laps tomorrow, either.
Saturday then... at least I hope so, I was totally unprepared in the last race and it was no fun

Well, to start with, I did a Chandhok this time: my first lap on this combo was in qualifying. Really wasn't motivated (should have learned last week... I didn't, but yeah, no time to race LFS really).
Anyway, wasn't too happy with qualy, then again what did I expect. Just thought to myself "Stay out of trouble, don't do stupid moves, get some points, enjoy yourself".
Well, the first few laps were really cool, close but fair battles, but after a while I lost contact to the guys infront and pulled away from the guys behind me... and then I became a bit frustrated... lost concentration, made quite a few more errors resulting in wallrides etc, got even more frustrated.... and so on. Once in a while I had a nice battle (which I really enjoyed, although most of the times it ended with me overshooting the hairpin and loosing a lot of time :P), but overall I was quite bored. Thought about retiring, but then I could have learned... so I raced on
Overall the worst race so far (in terms of fun factor for me), but oh well. Looking forward to the next race

Hey there, I've got a question about the CameraPath Feature.
I want to have a sequence of camera angles similar to that demo video on vimeo. Now, as I understand it I place the camera in shift-u mode, press add camera, place the next camera in shift-u mode, add camera etc.
Problem is that when I play the camera sequence in LFS CarFocus (V2.93) the first camera never gets activated and the following cameras are never the cameras I used in shift-u mode. Instead, they are (mostly) placed in car and zoom / move around (flying through the car so to speak) or just show the wall next to the track.
Can someone tell me where I did something wrong? Thx in advance

Well, what can I say? Did some laps offline prior to the event and lapped ~ 0.3 seconds faster and way more consistent then I did online. Probably because I didn't have to check the mirrors all the time when I was driving offline So I wasn't that happy about my pace, but at the end I thought "Well, let's just bring home 4th place"... and then my tyre failed on me. I knew I was hard on the tyres but I hoped I can just make it or that it'll blow in the last corner. But no, it was T1. 3 spins and a pit stop later i came out of the pits just behind Jason with whom I had the only battle for position during the whole race. Was nice, and I guess if I had a few more laps I could have got him, but the race was ruined anyway
