No matter what your timezone is, you can still choose when you race. For example if you prefer watching football on tv and therefor not race on a moment when the servers are more crowded but he do races ahead of the football match when people are still at work or school, then it is his "fault" indeed and not the "fault" of LFS, the Devs, patches or other. See what I try to say ? 24 hours in a day, no matter what your timezone is. I'm also staying up later than I normally would, simply to race with teammates. I can decide not to do that and then complain in the teamforum that I never see them online (which is comparable to what he's doing here).
And the 'paying for content' stuff is completely wrong. I payed £36 I believe for S2 around 3 years ago ? I'm still playing and enjoying LFS. That's different than for example the 100 euros for a year of iRacing (or the 7,90 euros for one cinema ticket).
Not LFS, Devs or game faults, but your fault. Maybe you race on the wrong hours ? Hang out with the wrong people ? Find a (better) team ? Participate in more leagues ?
I'm having no problem at all to find good (occasional) racing
With intentional disconnects I more mean suddenly pitting ourselfs and then shouting over teamspeak to eachother that the backup guy needs to take over asap Obviously nothing will be done which can in the slightest way affect others.
Your ending position in the testrace is not that important right, but your pace, behavior, following rules, ect... do is ? Just asking cause we'd be inclined to make maximum use of this testrace and would think on doing small stints, lots of pitstops and put in some "unexpected" disconnected for ourselfs in; to see how good and fast we respond, ect...
Some very nice racing currently, great action. Stays nuts to see 1 UFR, 1 GT2 XRR and 2 GT1 XRR's going through one and the same small turn, without single contact. A good broadcast also.
There is no blame at all on your shoulders mate.
My excuses by the way, for getting you into our GTAL adventure and now leaving you with empty hands. Hope you find a team and are able to participate in the GTAL one way or another.
This post is one of the black posts in SCCC history. With much pain in my heart I have to announce that two Cabbies will be leaving SCCC and will go their own way from now on. Deutschland2007 (also known as Dominik) and myself, GianniC, are leaving SCCC. The reason for doing so is that a lot of the Cabbies are inactive in LFS, which makes teamevents and league racing rather lonely and boring. We attempted to bring in a new wind into SCCC by taking in some new members and by signing up for GTAL, however after the initial activity bump this had not much effect on the entire team. For this also my excuses to AtomAnt and Rookie41.
I can say a lot more about how great SCCC is, for nearly 6 years (!!) I have been a Cabbie and I shared a lot of personal ups and downs with my fellow Cabbies. From strangers in an online game, they've all become good and very close friends. Going to the Cabbie forum after a hectic troubled real life day could bring a smile upon my face. I wish I could say more, however tears are in my eyes. Sorry Cabbies for letting you down.
At the end of the day LFS is and stays a game, in which one wishes to have fun. I believe that I can have more fun in LFS by doing more active (league) races. Chatting and talking can (and will) always be done by other means. That is why I decided, after a sleepless night, to leave SCCC.
Thank you Sprinter, Houba, Popeye, 2BL, Reman, Lake, Colt, Chen, Y-NoT, Tukko, Peckers, Prophet, Ketshoo, Kshyhohaoijzjazo, Mauni, Rookie41, Zeugnimod and last but not least AtomAnt for the GREAT time in SCCC and for everything else. It was an honor. I still hope that one day you all will be back into LFS racing with me and that we can do our famous real life meeting on Corsica!
I support FE. At least I know how that track looks (there's sand and palmtrees, right?), while AS GP is totally unknown to me after more than 8 years of LFS playing (I know, the track is less old, but I can't be bothered to look up the exact introduction date - still morning for me, glah!)
