yeah im late, just wanted to share this with you all.

i used to be in a re-enactment group that basically did toy fights only with better costumes and real weapons, we went down to whitehaven in summer 2005 to do a pirate battle, and it was awesome...sitting in the sun drinking rum all day

you'll find some photos and other great pirate phrases to use for next year here> http://www.pubcat.org.uk/

although for me, a race is better when i can battle with people of my own (or similar) skill, i often get kinda bored being on my own at the back of the pack, thats when i make a stupid mistake and crash

Quote from Rebeldevil :The gamepad I'm using is the MS Xbox360 wired controller.

LFS does not support this controller very well at all. Only the two analog sticks are recognized. The L and R analog triggers aren't seen at all by LFS which is kind of a shame. I'd like to have used those for throttle/brake, and maybe used the right stick as a clutch or handbrake.

i used one of those until last week, and it recognised the L & R triggers when i used it...maybe you should re-download the drivers from the MS website?

Quote from joen :Taking a break from a certain track can give you better times when you return to it bringing in your experience from the other tracks

also taking experience from other diciplines...iv been learning to drift over the past few days, and when i went back to racing again, i found myself much faster overall

Quote from farcar :I disagree with that. This community's attitude towards newcomers is very, very positive. Look in the beginner's forum for proof of that.
It's attitude towards people who make irreverent posts in the wrong forum however is understandably not so positive.

i dont mean purely in the forums, i would have thought it would be clear to tell a n00b from a wrecker: i.e. a clean racer, a bit slow with the odd mistake...but iv seen people getting so much hassle from the one mistake they make!

Quote from TagForce :Oh come on...
It's been said before, but I'll say it again anyway... If you don't like a thread or its subject... Don't post in it.

There's no reason to make anyone feel unwanted on these forums, other than to boost your own elite ego. This is rapidly becoming a very annoying trend here. Instantly bashing anything that is remotely different from what you like. There is an entire screenshots section, which' sole purpose is this "self-pimping" that you talk about...

Don't take this personally... I'm responding to your post, but I'm talking about a lot of people on these forums.

Either that, or I'm starting to see too much sarcasm on these boards.

+1
although the community on lfs is very friendly overall, the attitude towards n00bs and demo racers is terrible. im still learning to play the game, but some peoples attitudes just dont help!
