There is a problem with the lap counting/timing in qualy mode. LFS doesn't show the first timed lap after the pit-out correctly on the screen. It still shows "lap 1" although you are already in lap 2. Because of that, there are no split times shown, no blue flags for the frontrunners and the color on the minimap is wrong as well. After the completion of the 2nd lap, the lap display jumps from 1 to 3 and everything is normal.
Edit: This seems to happen only in multiplayer if you watch another car. Connect to the 24h qualy server to see the bug live.
Wouldn't it be possible to place jpg and dds into the same folder? So a user could put his high-res skins into skins_y, LFS automatically converts them to dds and saves them in the same folder again. This way you could skip the skins_dds folder as well und just save the converted dds in the /skins folder.
I have just connected to a W20 host and it looked like LFS only preloaded a single skin - the rest followed in-game after connecting to the server. Can someone confirm this?
Edit: Happens on other hosts as well, seems to be reproducable.

Well, "Pro" is meant to be "Pro" so you really have to be fast to get that rating. It's currently too easy to get pro on the overtaking lessons, but that's because of the weak AI and I cannot do anything to make them faster.
Any ideas for some nice BF1 tests? A slow slalom course wouldn't be fun with this car.
The RA is a bit difficult to drive with the default set. Unfortunately it's the same for the FZ5. What about replacing them by some FOX lessons?
An autox lesson with the UF1 would be fun as well, although a stunt lesson would suit the car more.
Yes, the autocross course is quite tricky. I'll probably add some easier MRT autox lessons first.
I'm planning to work a bit on the lessons and try to improve them. Any suggestions for some nice training layouts or how the existing lessons should be changed to make them more interesting? Were there any really boring or repetitive lessons which should be skipped?
Maybe LFS crashes because checkpoint and finish line are very close together? They are placed to each other, so the time between passing checkpoint and finishline is very short or maybe even 0 at high speed.
Edit: I just noticed that there are no starting lights at the skid pad lesson (throttle control #1 MRT).
Edit 2: Same goes for Fern Bay Overtaking - FXO.
Edit 3: AI REPAIR is still being displayed in the training lessons (e.g. rallyx overtaking rb4).
Edit 4: Strange behaviour in Rallyx Testdrive 2 - RB4: After driving into the finish square, I cannot control (steer, brake, throttle) the car anymore (driving on keyboard).
I have just joined a 47 player server and noticed some bugs when trying to join the race:
- My car joined right onto the track (qualy position) with the "Ready"-countdown, although the race was still under the way.
- Instead of "4/8" laps LFS displayed "4/1" (Edit: yes, like ussbeethoven it switched back to 9/8 after the race)
Edit: And another bug. All cars except your own disappear, this happend to all players on the server.
You have to set the dynamic lod reduction to the highest value (1.0). This will make the cars look like boxes at the start, but increases the FPS quite a lot.
I've just read an article about Joost, an internet TV application which works with peer-to-peer connections (like filesharing). It sounds quite interesting and I'd like to test it, but I need an invitation of a betatester. So... is anybody of you already testing Joost and can invite me?
You guys in the US could think about placing mass-orders, so the shipping costs won't be that high. That's what I did when ordering in the drivers emporium shop a long time ago (I guess these were the only de items that actually arrived in europe as well ).
