nice.
Just saw your "how to upload a hotlap" video, I did not know it was possible to change starting location like that in hotlapping.

No info on the banking but it looks flat in videos.

I think realistically nothing can be done.
The cars are too large and too fragile.
As you said, just not suitable.
Jokerlaps, tire tweaks, shortcuts etc. feel too artificial.
Any "solution" will be silly and it is uncertain if it would even work.

Maybe it would be better to drop it as an official race and instead run some special event.
F1 drivers but in Gokarts or something like that.

Luckily this weekend there was also Spa Classics, with interesting cars and actual racing. Nod

You should include some screenshots with the used blueprint or photos visible.

Did you try using google search like this?
site: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/ porsche

or
site: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/ gt40

(copy & paste it into google)
It seems okayish, some unrelated results but usable.

Mods do (should) already have a note on which vehicle/intellectual property they are based.
See at bottom of a mods page:
Quote :
Intellectual property
This Vehicle Mod is inspired by another vehicle.
(and then name of vehicle)

There is no LFS username samuellinhu - only "samuelinhu"

What mod does this refer to? "MCPL IREALIS" ?

Who created that 3d model?
Where is the origin/proof/wip pictures of that model?

How are reviewers supposed to find this "autorizzation" thread?

I think such posts need to be much more clear, like this it is useless.

click-clack-click-lack indicators are very nice but I do not understand how you did it.

It is how the real car works.
It feels random at first but after a while you will do it automatically without thinking. You get a feel for how much and how long you need to lift.e

The reason is maybe that BF1 and FBM were added relatively late, when the ranking combos were already established.

In some way it is nice that it stays comparable over such a long time.

This is great and has lots of potential.

Instead of using Insim circles, did you consider using the car coordinates and checking "manually" if it is in a certain circle?

The advantage of using the Insim-Circles is that pace-notes are basically included in the layout.
However, currently you need an external file anyway, that is a bit clunky.
If we could add notes to Insim-Circles (basically a settable number would be enough) then you would not need the file.
Since you use an extra file anyway, why not also save the trigger-circles in that file?
Instead of using the Insim-Events you would have to "manually" check if the player car is at a certain position but that is not so difficult.

It would allow players to create their own pace notes.
You could have a pacenotes files like this:

x=300, y=500, radius=50, sound=left2.wav
x=500, y=670, radius=70, sound=jump.wav

The player would slowly drive the track and can add notes by typing something like "jump" or "right4"
The program would then write it to the file, automatically adding the current coordinates.

Next step:
When a player joins the server, the server sends a message to the new player containing the pacenotes-data. Looking

Quote from ErenAslan94 :I'd say dont bother.. Don't know what the SVN is but undertray looks like forza's Tilt

Well spotted.
SVN = "Apache Subversion" is a software to help with software development.
Another popular option with the same goal is "git".
Basically tools that help to keep track of edits, work together with others or just publish program code.
See this thread for an example: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/107981-Telemetry

Different websites exist with the software already set-up and you can simply register an account. (Like creating an account at google-mail instead of running your own email-server.)

Lately sometimes people misuse these websites for file-sharing.
It is not meant for that and of course ripped files violate the terms of usage.
So when someone on sketchfab writes that he "found it on the svn" (or git/github) it means he downloaded it from such a place.

Not sure about rallycross series, but I think in WRC etc they have to use the same suspension system as the production cars. So MacPherson in most cases. The rules allow to change the geometry (different springs, lenght of arms etc) but the general system must stay the same.

Hi,
yes, it is safe.
On the virustotal page, if you scroll down to the full results you can see that only one Virusscanner (1 of 50+) reported something.
If only one program reports a virus then that often means a false report.

Here is an article that explains in more detail:

This thread got me thinking:
https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/109766-Analysis-of-WR-and-League-race-times-to-determine-performance-factors

Would it be possible to get a csv/text dump of the hotlap database?
Something like:
uploaddate;racer;track;car;split1;split2;laptime

It might make for some interesting statistics that are not on LFS-world.
(longest standing WR, which car in GTR class has the most WR's, which combo has closest Top 10 times etc)

I vaguely remember that there used to be lots of mods uploaded for that series, mostly names starting with "sst" but now I can only find a handful.

tanehau-srt has uploaded 64 mods with names starting with "GMSTOCK..."
It seems those are used now?
Almost all are custom access.

Are you trying to plot which property makes a car fast?
I am not sure what I am looking at here. Many numbers for sure. Tilt
Some random thoughts:

Races often already have some BOP applied, that makes it hard to compare.
Even if no BOP is used, the track, distance, mandatory pit stops etc might be chosen in a way to make it balanced. Typical example for TBO class might be that FXO is fastest but drivers eventually need to slow down to save tires.

Another idea:
Maybe try to figure out something about the difficulty/technicality of car/track combos by plotting a histogram of all uploaded times.
For example for XFG@Kyoto Oval I would expect that all the top times are very close to each other. On the other hand something like Fo8 at South City might have bigger gaps.
There might be a large plateau at XFG@Bl1 of newbies using default setups or other such things.

The ratio between "average speed" and "theoretical car top speed" (aka how much of a lap is at full throttle or high speed) could be interesting, too.
We know that Kyoto Oval is the fastest track, but which track is second fastest and which is the slowest?
(Also for different cars)

Mildly related:
Do you know of a way to get all WR times and their upload date?
It might be interesting to see how WR times have improved over time, how big the improvements were, which WR was standing longest until it got beaten etc.

Quote from RacingSOUL :...and you are admin or any other user who simply opened loaded the message or picture the code was inserted into. Once attacker got admin, all they had to do was go to admin panel, download forum database, and have access to everything.

I guess, someone found such a vulnerability within this forum or other website page.

I looked at some random profiles and none had any forum postings.
If there had been such an attack then it should have hit more active forum users, simply because they visit the forum more often.
Of course it is possible that those accounts were just very active readers but I doubt it.

Most likely people used pirated servers or some software/website and gave away their passwords willingly. (but perhaps unknowingly)
That has happend before:

The manual is normal mediawiki (same software as used by Wikipedia)
It seems there are some existing solutions to improve mobile usage:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Mobiles,_tablets_and_responsive_design
I have no clue about web development but at quick glance it seems as if someone with the knowledge might be able to set it up.

The forum actually works okay for me on mobile.
Half the time I post using a Unihertz Atom phone with Chrome Browser.
It has a tiny 2,4" screen.
It requires some zooming and scrolling but I have seen worse.
There are some other forums that I only use on PC because they work even worse via phone.

Then you enter the code in your account.

Do you mean actual gift cards or an LFS voucher code?
LFS codes you can enter at your account status page:
https://www.lfs.net/account/status
Scroll to "Redeem an LFS gift voucher"

For actual gift cards you can use paysafecards.
It is the only gift card that works for LFS.
You select paysafecard as payment option in the LFS shop and enter the 16 digits code from the card.
