I finally got to play the game too.

Love it, i must say. Very nicely optimized in my opinion, it ran alot better than i expected (max settings, 1080p @ 60fps vSynced) wich i really loved. The movement is a bit bulky and slow, the gun recoil isnt that lovely either (i would want a bit more, eh). As it was in BC2, the sound is amazing ... but ... i can very clearly hear the waveform hitting the limit when a explosion is near me and sometimes when i shoot, wich is a failure in my opinion, i want clear sound guddammit!.

Overall, very good game in my opinion. By the end of the Beta, i assume they will improve the major stuff. I didnt see any bug except when i died, my ragdoll's legs got stuck in the rock and then it was jiggling around in there.

Edit: It ran 60fps and i was easily able to fraps the game in 720p 30fps. But that was in the winter map. The desert one didnt want to run so smooth, it was stuttering between 10-30fps.

Quote from bunder9999 :no, when it comes to stuck pixels, sometimes pressing on them can snap them back into sync... although i've heard that colours sometimes can work too, i've never actually seen it work in practice.

actually, white is also good for magnet burn on crt's as well, if you don't have access to a degausser.

Yea, my previous monitor had a stuck pixel and so does my current. Never seen pixel getting unstuck either, havnt really tryed it on my current monitor tho.

Quote from bunder9999 :a trick for lcd's with persistence problems is to leave it on for a few days displaying nothing but solid white... and then try leaving it off for a few days and that might reset the pixels... on the other hand, it might be hosed.

On a closer look-up i can easily indetify that the pixels are actually burned up. But well, i dont think white will do anything. Maybe ur talking about getting pixels unstuck (if stuck).

There should be a rule on the competition that says "shaved girls only".

Quote from Bose321 :Like the 4870 is the fastest card in the world and you can max out all games in the world, well wake up.

So what's different in this open beta compared the the closed beta from a while ago?

Well, so far ive managed to play all my games on pretty much max settings. Even Crysis runs close to 40fps on it.

Quote from Victor :... I hope to make a new lfsworld ...

Delicious idea indeed.

But, wouldnt it be awesome if everything was pretty much integrated to one site?

A site with a header that looks something like this ...

Edit: By "one site" i mean, if u go from market to forum then the site actually stays the same and so does the interface etc.

Thanks, downloading :3

Anyways, i really hope this will run smoother as the beta that was for BFBC2. I havnt really played it any further, beta didnt run very well on my HD4870. I mean, i couldnt max out the settings (wich is very bad, lol).

Quote from PoVo :Sell it to a blind person

Eh.

An option, yea. But i guess if the pixels spread more and its unwatchable, then ill pick up few good components from there and just throw it away :]

An update, lol.

The line has finally gone thru the whole screen horizontally. Other than that, i dont see anymore pixels spreading like that. Hmm

Quote from TehPaws3D :... It's why DRM is getting harder and harder to crack, Soon they will just stop releasing games for PC.. And you will all get what you ask for

True, true ...

I would actually support all new games to be released on PS3. If the devs learn how to easily take advantage of its hardware (wich they dont know, so to code a game for it, it will be harder as u might think, thats why the high prices), then it would be very nice.

Edit: Im also pointing out that PS3 is very future pruuf, CPU-Wise. Not sure about the GPU and its 256mb of ram. But a fast HDD and using all cores would compensate that, no?

Ive cleaned my screen's with the right stuff too. No "water and cloth", lol. And as far as i remember, i havnt cleaned the TV's panel for quite some time now. Having dust on it cant shorten out the microconnections etc that are in there.

Quote from DejaVu :Looks like an image has been left on the screen for too long, game or something or a menu of some sort - looks like it's burnt into the screen?

I dont remember this happening.

At this point the TV is quite a bit old and maybe the panel has lived its age. Im not sure, but i think this TV was bought about when the first LCD's came to the consumer's market (massive sale etc.).

Few times we've had problems with picture burning into the picture, but it just left a slight watermark on it. In the end of the day we got it fixed. Right now, the TV is playing pretty much all day, alot of different channels and moving content etc.

Edit: The pixels are actually dead in there, nothing is burned onscreen :]

Quote from Luke.S :i think its time for a new TV. The screen is dying.

Myea, i guess.

Imma google it, maybe there's a solution to stop the "process" for a while. Cant really afford a new TV right now.
Pixels going wild on my TV

So few days ago i was chillin out, relaxin and enjoying the fine low res picture from my TV (Its an old LCD TV). But then i suddenly saw that the pixels are like washed out or something. I asked my mummy and bro, they didnt know anything about it so i guess noone has hit the panel whatsoever. But now the pixels are like washing away by themselves. There are pretty big stripes on the TV already.

I made a crappy video with my crappy phone and made few pics that are in the end of the video.

Could somebody explain, what in the hell is this? And why is it happening (to me)?
