The F08 Is certainly harder than the FOX but i have to say the F08 is a damn lot easyer (for me!!!) to get a lap out of than the LX6 (and its baby brother). They may not be particulary fast laps but they tend to be on the road (facing the right way) than (LX6) facing the wrong way on the gravel/grass (usually knackered).

FOX = FUN
F08 = HARD(ER) but MORE FUN
LX6/4 = AAARRRGGGGHHH!!!! (pulling wheel off desk)

the 5th skin is more aimed at the Scottish NHS staff as the Tartin Is the NHS' one.

Alls fine now with the "é" but i could not say from before.

Okay i got hacked off with it yesterday and called in support (stax dad, always helps to have a pc tech in the family). I had it in bits and tried different ram and older cards to no avail. I was going to do a blank and rebuild but could not be arsed.

Killed of alot of things booting up using msconfig (i love that tool), still nought happened. much anger on my part.

So deleted LFS and did a fresh Download and install. And walla (did not have to unlock for some reason but cool) much better frame rate. Thanks for all your help.

one question tho. why does blackwood have a really bad frame rate compaired to other tracks?


ps tried the sound card thing and got worse frame rate for disabling hardware support. but changed to normal instead of full and that seems best. thanks for that.

ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) is usually used by ping, and a few other apps. Its not needed to be open.

ports 29339 and 63392 both tcp and udp, are both routed correctly
and these are the ports that i have lfs set for (well 63392, the 29339 was one that was recomended)

I got bored reading this but ahs any one notices a few characters ahve dissapeared, i.e. "é" is one that has seem to have vanished now all i get is a green box (or what ever colour the name that has that charadter is).

Over time, Ive played with the settings (i would have gone better GFX but all my retailers around me suck). I have put the priority on LFS up to "Realtime" and get arounds 5-10 FPS better but its a strange one as i can play a server thats packed and it runs great, log out turn off pc and then come back on a while later, again back to the same server with all the same drvers and its 5-10FPS time.

Would updating to PCI-x give any better performance or just a CPU upgrade do it?

Have done all the nat (napt) and disabled firewall to no avail. Asked my ISP about online gaming and they said that they fullysupported gaming (and claimed to have no internet barring inplace).

I load up a dedi server (or a non dedi it dont matter) log onto it(either by ip (dedi) or by running it). and i get my frendon the phone saying that he cannot connect, the few who get further all i get is "Guest timed out". My fire wall was at fault for a lot of my games but i sorted it, giving LFS and VIETCONG full accsess, even to ICMP (whatever that is).

Getting annoyed, the games best feater is online play against friends.

Any further help would be great.

ont mention hard disc stuff as not to important, nonthe less sata is involved. I have a measly 15fps on a full grisd and a woping 100 (if i pull the LOD(whatever that is) down to minimum), when just me, now i need to find a way to sort this any suggestions?

I am using a router and I have al the ports open that need to be open, but still my online games connect fine (even tho if i use dedi i have to use an ip to join) but the problem is that none of my friends can join the games. It bugs as the guys who got me into this game are the ones i wanna play.

my fire wall prog is allowing the ports as well. I an connecting using the default ports any others all have the same problem. I just wanna play games with my friends. Pleasse HELP
