Basically. Go to My computer -> Then to C: (C DRIVE) -> Then to Windows -> Then to SYSTEM 32. And then look for a folder called "Drivers". If its there then i dont know the problem
I would suggest backing up the files you want the most (NOT THE WHOLE OF YOUR PC) And formatting it. Then re-installing windows. that might sort your problem as you might have missed a file when copying the windows folders across.
1) Make Sure you have the right drivers
2) Make sure your drivers are the WINGMAN Logitech G25 Drivers
3) Try and re-install them, and then try and go to settings in vista for your calibration settings for Vista.
It seems like you just fix your own problems.... silly Mutt . Next time.. wait a few hours, type bump a few times into MS word...and you just might fix your probel m
I have recognised the name of it on CNTRL + ALT + DEL. I do hope it was the source of my problem
I also have patch Y30 (the test one) to see if it helps. The name of the thing was NMIndexStoresrv.exe Its taking about 20,000 when i just have msn running and dont see why it would suddenly rise when lfs is running. Dont know what its off. Just got to remember to end it everytime i boot up i suppose.
thanks a lot people If it wasnt my problem ill get the thread back to life
Thanks a lot bryan. Hopefully i think i might have found the source of my problem. At the exact same time as the fps dropped to 2, the cpu % bar on my keyboard went to 100% (Showing that the CPU was being used up 100%)
I then had an idea to quickly minimize it and see under processes what was taking it up. Surprisingly it wasnt lfs... it was something i hadnt even heard of. But was under "username - James" and not under System. I eneded it and the problems went away. So i shall see if it happens again
Hi
When im racing i usually get a good 80fps, whereever i am on track. If im racing a lot of people it might go to 30 on the start grid. Which is easily raceable for the start. But when im going around, randomly it will go from whatever fps it is on, to about 3, then 4, then 3, and after a massive pile up and crash it will rise back upto 80.
I installed a new HD and still the problem consisted. I play other computer games and i have no framerate issues what so ever on it or any other game..
I close everything down and it still does it. What can the problem be?
mmmm. i dont know then. Mine is never usually high. buts its unplayable when it bottoms out to 8fps for around 5-10 seconds... i shall try a format in a few week. My only option im guessing
Erm. I have usb 2.0 i THINK. its about 3 year old so i dont know.
ASUS K8V AMD Athlon 64+ NVIDIA 7600GS 1GB RAM
although i have noticed a fps decrese in another game aswell now. So im going off the theory of the DFP. I have checked my ram with memtest and its fine...
Re-Phrase. I run other games very smooth so i dont think it could be a heat problem. I only get a drop in fps in lfs when im using my Driving force Pro wheel. If i use my mouse it doesnt happen. But my drivers are the latest.
Hey, im getting the same problem. I have noticed its when im using my DFP mostly and i cannot figure it out. Im running graphics as low as i can and i still get 100fps then a random drop to about 8fps.... untill i crash and spectate. Please can somebody help us as i would really want to know how to fix this as it ruined my race in a league
And its about to break anyway. Dont really know if i want a g25 tbh.
As on my dfp just noticed that the plasitc coating on the wire for the pedals is coming off. Right near the end where it plugs into wheel. Thing is, its my brothers wheel :S
Never tried but it might be because steam isnt for every game. It works closely with valve games and games that you have baught off their site. Dont think lfs is on it. Xfire is also rubbish. Just dont use anything tbh
