Quote from trebor901 :i say throw it in the bin, ive got a HPI RS4 and its the biggest pile of money eating rubbish ive ever seen. The other day i lost a screw out of where the manifold joins the engine block and it will cost me £25 for a whole set of screws just to get that one screw.

lol try having one of the blocks that hold your rear suspension arms come loose int he middle of a race:

seval things happen:

the screw damages the carpet you are racing on
the lower wishbone comes off making the wheel collase
you loose the little shims that position the arms

this was on my tc4 ft electric tc i used to race, used to have a hell of a trouble with lootening screws

lol i do that too but for me its even worse and my school is dont using online confrencing software(its hard to explain, ill have a go one time but you can see about it at http://www.accipio-learning.com/index.php ) and i always type t before everything in the message centre

you know when your an lfs fanatic when you start playing in the 15 min breaks between lessons

you know your an lfs fanatic when every other racing game is crap and because it is not as good as lfs you dont play it

(i know they are awful but i couldnt think of any better ones)

edit: another lesson one

you know your an lfs fanatic when you go to press your hi bind button when you enter the class (did it today, i was tired)

Quote from Nathan_French_14 :Are you priming it before using it? To do this (when cold, obviously so you dont burn yourself), put one finger over the exhaust tailpipe, and then turn the engine over slowly until you see some fuel going through the lines. Then stick the glow plug on it for about 10 seconds, then try and start it. Also try and have the wheels off the ground when doing this.

Another little tip. If your trying to start it in very cold weather like were having today, put the RC car ontop of a radiator for about 10 minutes. This will warm up the internals of the engine and warm the fuel, thus making it easier to start.

doh forgot about priming, yh you have to prime em most of the time

that what comes of not havong owned one just helping someone out when they were diagnosing a problem

first thing, remove the glow plug and plug it into the starter and make sure it is glowing, then turn the engine a few times with it out to get any fuel out, finally if it doesnt start then make sure its getting fuel and again if not the only thing i can think of is mixture.

i dont know much about nitros, ive personally only run electric but know a bit about nitros from being round them

i voted yes obviously, but tbh this poll is a bit pointless, and why is it a multiple choice
centre diff operation?
james12s

i came acrosss something while messing with the rb4 today, when you have the centre diff open and you stop the back wheels the front wheels dont increase speed(if i remember correctly, theoreticly they should double in speed) or at least they dont according to the speedo.

is this just the speedo taking an average reading from all wheels or is the centre diff not working correctly(i suspect the first one but am just intrigued)

Quote from danowat :I always thought it was to point and laugh at all the other countries singing silly songs, in silly costumes, in funny languages

what like when the french did that song that involved singing in pink suits with fluffy cats sewn to them.

i think france actual went to a lunatic asylum to get those people

the only reason to what the eurovison song contest is to look at laugh at people in groups with stupid names in stupid cloths singing stupid songs.

it is the worlds biggest mental exibition

ill see if i can find a pic

edit: i havent been able to find the van in question but lests say it way like an old escort super van, it m,ay even have had the dfv the same as the transit super vans

Quote from Shotglass :you best bet would be 2 beamers with polarisation filters (ie the imax way)
iirc quite some time ago someone here posted about having built this kind of setup in his living room

you might also be able to use the shutter driver and a dlp beamer to replicate the way dolby 3d works

i think i know the guy you are on about, hes the one who gave me my race frame, he showed me the setup and he used 2 projectors one on-top of the other and 3d glasses
and sat in the middle of the room on the race frame
