Reason : driver change
I see that a precedent is being set here (penalty applied after a safety car finish situation), so I think a revisit of the penalty and the application should be made. Whether or not the penalty is deserved is one thing, but the application of the penalty here seems to punish the team more harshly than the crime warrants. Perhaps if the incident occured very late in the race, the penalty of 20 grid spots (or whatever) might be justified, but this incident occured very early, and, in my view, should have been dealt with early as well.
This appears to be a situation that hasn't occurred before in GTAL, nor, to my knowledge in MoE and IGTC and I don't think it happens often in real life.
I have a couple of suggestions for this type of situation.
1) Make it a flat grid penalty, 5 spots seems to a reasonable number. (Edit: I mean in the finishing order, not grid for next race. Yes, poorly worded)
2) Examine the situation before the final yellow. Decide how many positions they likely would have lost.
Lap and Replay time: Lap 69 2.59.30 Car(s) involved: 20 11 Brief description of incident: Under safety car #20 runs wide and off track and loses a position, then subsequently retakes.
I'm all for the guys in the top 15 of the current season being locked into the next round. It's certainly reasonable. I believe Niels' larger issue is the first round race, with the top 15 from last season already locked in. I think this particular number should be lower. My suggestion is the top 10 racers from last season.

Another screenshot where 11 is turning in, 04 is not and there is no overlap.
I would have been happy to accept whatever decision an adjudicator will make, without comment. Clearly this incident is not as clear as some of the other moves during the race, but we think a review is in order. You seem to be angry that you've been protested. Don't be, it's not personal. It's maneuver on the track we're protesting, not the person behind the wheel.
You should check the stream as well. There are chat 'Green Flag' messages that pop up that do not appear on any of the replays (when I view the backmarkers) I've seen. While I don't dismiss the possibility of a jump start, I really don't think the issue is fully known. The rush to judgement may need to slow down just a bit.
Keep in mind I'm speaking to the jump start issue and not the first turn contact.
