Quote from Timo1992 :But he wasnt driving that stupid like Hamilton trying to pass on the inside, he was quite close to the wall.

imo this should be a penalty, but as they already said there will be an investigation by the stewards

btw: i am not against hamilton, it's just my objective opinion to this incident.

That's why I said they were both a bit naughty.

Lewis shouldn't be there, Vettel shouldn't be pushing him towards the pit garages. But I don't have a clue what the stewards are going to do through...

Traditionally they penalise someone for going out right in front of someone else. But they havn't clarify what's the situation of pulling out right beside someone, and trying to go down the lane beside someone.

Quote from Intrepid :There was a clarification after 2007 with Hamilton. Button practically stopped his car nearly causing cars to rear end each other. That's erratic in my opinion. You can't just stop the car

Agree that it did look pretty slow on the TV.

But the race stewards obviously still think there're nothing wrong enough to justify a penalty for that.

PS. yeah the drivers love to gang up on Lewis. And Lewis definitly didn't make much friends over the years...
Other drivers gang up on Lewis so much that they think his weaving last time out should be penalised... When you said something harsh about anyone asking for DTs shouldn't be watching F1...

Quote from Intrepid :That's not what the rule book states. Brundle in commentary pretty much laid it out.

But as I said, nothing have ever been done about it. So obviously they think that's alright.

And from the rules (thanks for the link botthy):
Quote :In order to avoid the likelihood of accidents before the safety car returns to the pits, from the point at which the lights on the car are turned out drivers must proceed at a pace which involves no erratic acceleration or braking nor any other manoeuvre which is likely to endanger other drivers or impede the restart.

He didn't do any erratic acceleration or braking.
And as I said above, such manoeuvre was never deemed to be endangering other drivers or impeding a restart before...
Why should that suddenly be the case now~?

Quote from Timo1992 :Jup especially hamilton was just crazy in the pits and with pushing webber out

Vettel was pushing Lewis on the inside at that too, can't remember what's the order of the cars as they arrive there... But Lewis was definitly in a Red Bull sandwich heading into that last corner on the restart

Quote from Intrepid :Button and Lewis both should have been given penalties. Great drives from both but the stewards have gone from admirably lenient to almost ignorant

what did Button done wrong~?

Nothing have ever been done about slowing down and stacking cars up behind on the restart...

Quote from zeugnimod :Alonso FTW then?

he's too far back through... and for some reason he seems settle at 4th...

I reckon Jensen and Lewis is just controlling their pace now.

but well it's Jensen and Nico struggling now~

Lewis cooked his tyres... in China... AGAIN~!
shame for pushing too hard too early in the stint.

he can afford to lose 1sec a lap to make it last to the end of the race... and I really wants to see a McLaren 1-2~!

Quote from DeMS :To anyone reading this afterwards : yes, the race is so interesting no one has posted in a long time.

Go Alguersuari!!!

I can see him going Red Bull next year if he keeps getting better :]

too busy watching the tele. Too much going on~!

Quote from zeugnimod :Ok, he did push him a bit, they just showed a replay.

Still, if anyone gets a penalty it should be HAM.

the sensible thing would be just a "reprimand"... hopfully...

But holy Button was stacking everyone up massively down the end of the backstraight... causing all sort of chaos behind...

that's his revenge on what Michael Schumacher did to the field at Monza years ago, when Button slammed into the wall slaming on the brakes trying to avoid the queue of cars... (now that Michael is back on track and Button is leading a race)

same old American's reason. "Debris on track"

Quote from DeMS :And here comes the Safety Car to kick everyone's plans

Ferrari is loving it through... they were very screwed without it...

PS. Alonso diving pass Massa at the pit entrance. Massa would probably cry about it on the radio and after the race~

Quote from zeugnimod :And let's hope that the FIA or FOM or whatever they are called are inefficient.

it'll be the FOM that pull things down from youtube...

but even if FOM is efficient in asking Youtube to pull things down, it'll depends how efficient Youtube is too~

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :Hamilton vs Schumi.

I have been waiting since 2007 for this!

Lewis won~
Schumi is going very slowly through... even the Red Bulls got pass easily...

Quote from zeugnimod :I would have to watch the replay again but from what I saw he didn't shove anyone. He kept on his line.

but he didn't...

lets see how long someone put that up onto Youtube~ lol
will be interesting to see how efficient those uploaders are~ lol

Quote from zeugnimod :He stayed within the white lines while Hamilton was unsafely released and kept driving dangerously close to the pit garages instead of slowing down and getting behind Vettel.

Why should Vettel let Hamilton push him to the left so that he can't get a proper pit exit when it was Hamilton's (or rather his pit crew's fault) that he was next to him in the first place?

that doesn't make shoving another car towards the pit garages not naughty through...

and unsafe release usually refer to jumping out of the pitbox right in front of another car, making the other car slaming on the brakes. Traditionally nothing much have been done about releasing a car right next to the car on the fast lane. Althought Lewis most definitly should've thought better of it and back out of it.

Whoa Massa nearly did a Hamilton in the pit entrance, but he didn't get breached...

and another blown Ferrari engine... on the Sauber...

PS. love the major battle between Vettel and Hamilton, all the way from the long backstraight, to coming out from the hairpin, to diving down the pit entrance, to slaming on the brakes for the pitlane speed limit, to coming out of the pitlane~! (although both did something a bit naughty in the process...)

great, everyone on slicks on the formation lap, just as the rain is getting slightly heavier... no one knows how long till (if any) the sky will dump the rain down through...

Martin Whitmarsh is standing in the middle of his pitboxes to check out the weather, just to ensure they don't muck up again~ lol

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I already came up with the best solution ever, hydrogen powered cars. The only emission from a hydrogen powered car is water, scale it up to F1 levels of power and as the race goes on the cars will make the track wet, no need for sprinklers!

this sound BRILLIANT~!

except no one knows how much water will get dumped out... lol
