Quote from Joris :A Karun's GP2 results good enough for a superlicense? Apparantly they are...

the way the Superlicense system work is that it usually care a lot more about mileage, rather than actual talent~

Karun's performance wasn't brilliant, but he did get a points finish (and sometimes podium) every now and then, although officially one do need to be in the top 3 in the final classification of the series to get the super license...

having said that, I don't remember Karun having done the required mileage, so it probably came down to the FIA granting him the license anyway...
checked again, Karun had done 2 days of testing in a Red Bull a couple of years ago, and most probably done more than enough miles to earn the super license...

Quote from boosterfire :And how exactly would Stefanovic have been supposed to buy Toyota's operation, then? Surely not with only a few euros.

Besides, we know for a fact that there is some kind of check done on teams to make sure that they're really serious (FIA sends inspectors), so even if Stefanovic had somehow tricked Toyota into letting him buy their team with his alleged non-money, the FIA would have probably uncovered the fraud and publicly announced that StefanF1 was not a considered entry as a new team, now or in the future.

1. Toyota wouldn't give a damn who they sold their stuff to, as long as they know for sure themselves they'll get the money. It wouldn't matter to them if it's just some rich kids deciding to waste a lot of money, or whether it's some "team" in F1.

2. If the FIA knows more about Stefan GP, it doesn't mean they would need to publicly announced it. If FIA did it might just open the door for Stefan GP to sue them for defamation or something. If FIA don't publicly announce anything, it won't harm the FIA in anyway at all, so there're basically no point for doing so.

just got this off ironhorse racing yesterday.
A wrecker took out two guys within 200m while being a lap down, and blame that on having some "foggy mirrors".

And the greatest thing was, the admin say let him pit to clear his mirrors up and do not vote ban/kick people~! what the.....
JCTK

oh great, how'd he knows if he was blocking messages... after the admin was telling him he was on the blink of being banned...
and then everyone else just ask to get him banned, immediately~ lol

well that last part he wouldn't know, cos he blocked messages~ lol

and that was just like how it's now, one against everyone else~ XD

judging by how he cries, one can tell what sort of people he really is~ lol
especially since it wasn't just the admin, it was a lot of people ASKING the admin to get him banned~ lol

seems like someone still don't understand why he got banned... but since that someone always think he's right, perhaps he'll never understand.

But if someone want to argue why the ban was unfair (when just about everyone else wanted to see him banned), FM have their own forum.

Quote from ACCAkut :DTM should be renamed to DPDWSFAM (Deutsche Prototypen-die-wie-SerienFahrzeuge-aussehen Masters)

I hope they change it towards the Super GT rules, so that the I-build-a-prototyp-that-looks-somewhat-similar-to-a-production-car mentality has to change.

both DTM and Super GT are based on the I-build-a-prototyp-that-looks-somewhat-similar-to-a-production-car mentality... so...

Quote from aroX123 :Raikkonen confirms WRC drive for 2010

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/12/10263.html

but why they won't go to NZ...

seems like Kimi is now part of the ever growing Red Bull family, and will come back to F1 in 2011 in a Red Bull, and kick out Mark Webber in the process~

Quote from aroX123 :Lets pray for 7-time world champion to join

to sum the two quotes together:

Haug: "Ross made it quite clear and I really have nothing to add."
Brawn: rumours of a possible return by the seven-time champion were a "fantasy of the media".

so basically don't dream too much after only reading the title~

I think some press and people are hoping too much from Schumacher's basically less restrictions/works contract with Ferrari...

Haug did say every now and then in the past decade that he wouldn't mind Michael driving for Merc's team, and it's only natural now that they'd purchased Brawn they'd try to talk him into a come back... but I personally think that Michael will just take a role in FIA alongside Jean Todt, hence he can't be too related with Ferrari.

I just hope FIA won't really turn into "Ferrari International Assistant" if Todt and Schumacher are both having important roles in the FIA...

Quote from aroX123 :What I personally would like for 2010 is a figth for the world title that contains more than 2 people.
And I would like it to be the same as in 2009, so close laptimes and such.
0,2 of a sec could get you up 5 places, qualifyings where so awsome, I hope so too for 2010.
I guess every year things change, but lets hope they change in a positive way

for the past decade(s), it was usually only just two (if there're more than one) fighting for the title...
and as far as I can remember, the only exception to this was 2007 I guess, when it was Lewis and Alonso fighting and then Kimi suddenly came from no where and steal it off them...

so yeah it's a good wish~ but I doubt it'll happen~

Quote from Dizzydarryn :This is the difference between a quality driver like schumacher (none fans, hear me out first). He joined a team, and then built it around him, untill he was blatently dominant.

Button had the opportunity to build braw (MB) around him as his own team. Now instead, he has moved to Hamiltons team. And quite honestly, he is good, but not anywhere close to hamiltons league (this coming from a none hamilton fan)... What does he know, that we dont?

I'd hate to think of it this way... But perhaps he know that he'd be likely to get thrashed by Nico Rosberg anyway... so why not go to a place where everyone on earth would expect him to be thrashed, rather than be a sitting duck at Merc and be prepared to get wasted by Nico~?
If he do better than we expected against Lewis it'd be a bonus, if he get thrashed, we'll just say it's expected and it was a poor decision...

Or on a more nice way of saying it, Button can't really get the team built around him as much as Schumacher had at Ferrari, Alonso had at Renault, or Hamilton has at McLaren. Because he won't be having an "easy" team-mate there next year, Nico Rosberg is obviously a very strong driver and won't be playing the second driver game with Button. Where the other 3 example I listed, they have had a relatively weak team-mate during that "building" process...

Quote from manneF1 :Barrichello and Rosberg to Mercedes GP?

Barrichello has signed with Williams already...

so I guess Mercedes will be having Nick Heidfield and Nico Rosberg. And Heidfield would be taking a hefty salary cut as well, as I can't imagine they'd offer the same deal to Heidfield as they did to the guy that won them the championship...

Quote from deggis :By the regulations KERS is still allowed... surprisingly there hasn't been much talk about this lately. Don't they already need to know are they building a KERS car or not?

I think they know already, and they will just keep their mouth shut until they turn up at the first race next year...

or someone will be able to tell who's running KERS when they do their first group test in the winter~

gotta hate the sound of these...
1. Kimi taking a sabatical next year, cos he failed to reach an agreement with McLaren.
2. Brawn (aka Mercedes GP) ditching their Championship winning driver.
3. Button going to McLaren to pair up with Lewis, cos he was ditched by Brawn and now cos of that Kimi has no drive next year.

next year did looked promising, but not any more...

and on a side note, would we actually see KERS next year~? it was only a voluntary agreement within the FOTA teams, and now that the two big guys in FOTA, Luca di Montezemolo and John Howett, seems to be stepping down from their duties, and FOTA hasn't announced who's going to take charge of them.
Luca said that he wanted to focus more on his role as the Fiat president so would be stepping down, where as John Howett's team doesn't exist anymore after Toyota pulled out...

Quote from Intrepid :Hamilton was a rookie! He beat a 2x WDC in the same car. A rookie, a noob! Just look at how all the other rookies recently have dealt with F1. It only highlights how good Hamilton was in 2007.

ALL the other rookies~?
Vettel also did a brilliant job on his debut season, just that he didn't have the fastest car on the grid, which Lewis had...
Kobayashi also managed to beat his much more experienced teammate in his second race after not having done much testing, if any.

Hamilton is a brilliant driver no doubt about it, but isn't exactly more superior than all others neither.

Quote from Intrepid :So Hamilton not pushing at Nurburgring was criticised because it was seen as 'giving up' but then pushing 100% up until the chequered flag is careless. I see a pattern forming. In fact that crash at monxa improved Hamilton's reputation. And if Hamilton had drove like a pussy all year (like you suggest) they may have not even been in an opportunity to grab 3rd int he constructors. The crash is a consequence of pushing hard, but the pushing hard was what gave them 3rd in he constructors.

Schumacher/Senna/Alonso have all binned it and have done stupid arse things - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKXAgPASHJI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ... n96hY&feature=related - casing point.

We can argue who is better between Hamilton and Alonso but to say no one is near Alonso is hilarious considering he has been beat... in the same car... by a rookie.

in which sentence did I suggest he should drive like a pussy all year~?
are you seeing something that I havn't typed~?
even Lewis after the race admited that he learnt from that "mistake" and would know when to push and when to consolidate, or something along those lines, forgot the exact quote...

Quote from Intrepid :He's barely half as complete as Alonso?

1, He beat Alonso who at the time was expected to THRASH him. beat him, finished ahead of him, was better!
2. He's won a WDC
3. He's won in and helped developed a shit car

What more does he exactly need to do? What has Alonso done that Hamilton hasn't?

Alonso is an absolutely superb driver but to call Hamilton only half as complete as him is the funniest thing I have ever heard!

let me bei a bit picky here...
but Alonso won two Drivers Champion, which Hamilton hasn't done yet~

and let see what Hamilton done that Alonso hasn't~?
1. bin it into the gravel trap heading into the pit.
2. throwing it away at the last lap while being 3rd, which nearly cost McLaren a few millions of TV-revenue sharing cos without this, McLaren would've been way in front of Ferrari in the constructors rather than beating them by just one point.

I do agree that Lewis has beaten Alonso in the same machinery, hence should probably be the faster driver. As for the most complete driver on the grid, I think we have a different opinion/criteria as to who is better~

and I also not like Alonso cos of his off-track behaviour.

umm... what button is it on the Califonia that will made it steer to the right by itself~?

as soon as Luca steer onto the gravel, Alonso must be thinking "oh shoot, what the fork have I got myself into now, even Ron Dennis wouldn't hv done that"~ lol

Quote from Intrepid :Lewis most likely.

If button is to Mac then what now for Kimi?

agree, especially since Lewis is usually quite hard on his tyres, while Button is usually a very smooth driver and very easy on his tyres, it would be a nightmare for McLaren to try and provide a car that can suit both... and since most of the design is done already I presume the car would gotta be very much to Lewis' liking...

and now Kimi would be at the pub, or on a yacht naked, having alcoholic drinks as well as some ice cream to go along with it...
