Quote from e2mustang :jibber will be on the new episode of Hoarders this evening, make sure you tune in !

In what form exactly is hoarding related to having a home studio (i use all of the gear i have, and it's still a minimal amount compared to more professional studios)?

Quote from G!NhO :Yes i also agree with Jibber, a low car should be illegal!

As he is from Switserland i know there is somekind of rule so you can not lower your car too much, am i right?

I never said it should be illegal. You said it was perfectly driveable, i said it's not... that's it. And no, there is no rule like that, please stop talking out of your arse.

Quote from Dennis93 :Mazda is hairdressers car..

My mom drives one.

Are you still butthurt because i mentioned earlier how i think people using the word "swag" are douchebags and felt like i'm talking to you? Or are we just a bit grumpy today in general?

Quote from BlueFlame :You really seem to be one of these smug people. Fact of the matter is, a low car may or maynot bottom out due to a huge number of variables, weight, speed, wheelbase, tyre pressures shock integrity. The fact of the matter is Jibber, it seems like you're retarded enough to drive a lowered car on a dirtroad and then suggest lowered cars are undriveable. At least ,that's the impression I get.

Even tho i know nothing good will come out of this, i will reply to you.

How do you even get to conclusions like that? Smug, retarded? You seem to still have the same quality arguments like usual, don't you?

What i'm talking about is stuff like steep roads leading to a house for example. Stuff like steep on-ramps in parking garages, etc.

I had an MX-5 which was "lowered" (it had the stock lowering springs that mazda offered as an option (eibach springs IIRC)). In situations mentioned above it was too low, several times...

Last time i was on holidays in italy is another example, there was a little road leading to the hotel i was staying, no dirt road, just a bit steep. I can guarantee you, my MX-5, Ginho's Jetta and the BMW in the example pic above would have all scraped the ground when exiting that steep road.

I could scrape these cars at several places here in switzerland without ever driving on a dirt road.

There's low cars, and then there's cars so low that you will eventually run into problems with them (like the ones mentioned above)... not problems you couldn't avoid (like taking mentioned on-ramps at an angle), but problems that are annoying and complicated while daily driving.

See, i managed to write this without calling you names, take it as a good example maybe.

Quote from thisnameistaken :It's a beautiful bit of kit. Love those toggle switches.

The noise they make when you switch them... the clunk noise the machine makes when you press play... it's all part of the fun!

And now even the playback should sound good too!

Mine is a 2 track MKII with the gold lettering (for pimp factor ), probably should get it serviced, but for the moment i can't hear anything bad with it and it's awesome!

Basically purchased this a second time (read: got it fully serviced, almost the whole audio part inside got replaced/renewed). Gonna pick it up in two hours...

Quote from G!NhO :My car is very low, will post à pic to show it later, and it is perfectly drivable.

I've seen your new car, no worries. Yes it's low, no, it's not perfectly driveable. There's plenty of places on public roads where i could still make it through with my (already low in stock form) S2000 and you'd be scraping your bottom on the ground. Of course that doesn't mean you can't drive on normal smooth roads or have problems with 1cm high obstacles at parking lot entrances. However, as soon as you get to a steep ramp or a bad sidestreet/dirtroad, you're ****ed.

Quote from skstibi :What do you call a car that looks like it goes fast but is really not?

I failed to beat a new Audi A4 2.0T in my 944. Dead even up to about 90mph.
Makes me sad to think that I cannot even beat a little A4. At least I get good gas mileage.

If it makes you any happier, your bigger brother (944 turbo) did keep up/beat quite a few nice cars when it was still in my hands... 348tb, s2000, imprezas, 911's, etc. A little A4 would have been the equivalent of a light afternoon snack inbetween those "meals"...

PS: @ghino: Hello kitty pillow is a nice touch.

Quote from stan.distortion :Don't see anything wrong with cut scene's, there have been many games that focus on telling a story, kind of like a film or book but the direction the story takes is decided by the player. No reason a game involving skill can't also do this but the story needs to be a good one and it adds to the art work which is by far the biggest expense in any up to date game.

If players like this, yes it can work. If you have a person who would rather watch a movie, it doesn't.
Perfect example is L.A. Noire. A friend of mine loved this game (read: interactive movie), i hated it with a passion.

Quote from thisnameistaken :And since when did cutscenes constitute a game? They are short films. I've noticed the proportion of games where no action is required on the part of the player has been rising in recent years. Studios all want to create a 'cinematic' experience - if I wanted a cinematic experience I would go to the cinema, where's the game I paid for? Why am I sitting here watching a hundred melodramatic short films about bull-necked men with massive guns? And this game is rated 18, so why was the dialogue written for 10 year olds?

And quite often - as you've pointed out - the actual 'game' component involves pressing a button when the game instructs you to press it. This isn't interaction, it's subordination.

Games these days really **** me off.

I understand you perfectly, sadly, we are the minority these days.

Quote from ACCAkut :
It has an equalizer where you can adjust almost everything and some functions like an Mp3 enhancer like the X-Fi cards have them. Did they test it with the bundled in-ears?

They claimed they tested it with their audio testing equipment and said an ipod touch performed better. They didn't mention anything detailed however (what testing gear, results, etc).

For your listening pleasure, i hope they were wrong, because (IMO) ipods are anything but an example for good sound, no matter what headphones you're using.

EDIT: For a fair test you should turn off all equalization and enhancer stuff going on...

This has the best audio quality that I ever came across for a MP3 player

I just read some test and they said it doesn't sound as good as an ipod touch... it got the first place in their test however.

PS: This here would probably deliver the best audio quality (it's stupidly limited tho, and costs way too much)...

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :Erm, did I fall and bump my head?

swag noun 1 slang stolen goods. 2 Austral a traveller's pack or rolled bundle of possessions. 3 a a garland of fruit, flowers or foliage that is hung between two points; b a representation of this, eg in plasterwork, as a design on wallpaper or fabric; c fabric that is hung to give this effect, eg at a window. verb (swagged, swagging) 1 intrans to sway or sag. 2 to drape (eg curtain fabric) in swags. 3 Austral (often swag it) to travel around on foot with one's possessions in a bundle.
ETYMOLOGY: 16c.

It may have meant something along those lines originally (i thought it was used to describe pirate loot (useless loot = swag), but look up a definition on urban dictionary, and you'll find it's used a little differently nowadays.

Quote from Dennis93 :
i understand Jibber's point about these white kids running around calling themselves and friends n*igga and stuff.

And it's exactly those kids who mainly use the word swag these days. If somebody uses the word, my mind already pictures them in that way... can't help it, sorry.

Anyway... this is really off-topic... and my S2000 still looks the same as last time when i posted a pic of it, so could somebody else just quickly post a pic of their car?

Who said there was a problem? I didn't demand people would stop using the word. I only stated my opinion, that if you're an average kid using the word swag, you fall in the douchebag category for me. Problem?

Quote from Dennis93 :Please do find me a certificated link that discribes swag just like you do.

Because obviously it's different in denmark......

And again as usual you are just stating personal opinions to stand out like a complete idiot. It's not your decision if they are douchebags or not, It's perhabs some personal problem you should get some help for?

Thanks.

Swag is used to describe somebody who is cool, hip, badass, blabla... 2pac had swag, biggie had swag... etc.

Nowadays it's plastic dolls rapping about prada and gucci, white skinned teenagers calling themselves n*ggas, rapping to what sounds like they fell over some toy-keyboard in a toys'r'us store, accidently recorded the noise they made in the process and then called it music. Those people use the word swag.

Maybe it used to be cool, but nowadays people using the word swag are mainly complete douchebags... i agree completely with S14drift regarding this one.

No, it's not.

Enthusia is great, and far better than most driving games on consoles, but GT5 (even if still not a perfect "sim") is quite a step up in many aspects.

When was the last time you've played enthusia?
