The signup for the first UER Touring Car Masters is open. The UTCM is a classic championship with 10 events with a length of 2 hours. Planned is a grid with 28 drivers. The races are intended for the GTR class of LFS. To slow down the dominating FZR a little bit we have decided to allocate it with a extra weight of 20 kilogramms. Aditionally there will be two pit stops and you have to change your tires two times a race. The events take place at sunday in a rythm of two weeks, the first race is on Sunday the 2009-02-22. yeah i didn't really thought that u will change the racelength. Nearly everything (everything ? :P) what u say is written in stone. I just was really looking forward, to race all the guys i know from pickup racing in a proper race. Now i'm a bit disappointed, because i can have 6 lap races on as3 24/7 on CD1 . Till when do we have to decide if we show up or not ?

only 6 lap races, with 1 HOUR qualifying ? hum can't u make it 6 lap qualyfiing with one hour race would be much more exciting imo. I also hoped to get a longer race '(at least one hour WITHOUT pit) against all the guys who think that they can race on r2's :P.

I think it will cause much trouble if there isn't a rule for cutting, because we drive ~460+ laps and u can gain easy half a second there, i would say only the attemp to drive clean through the chicane will slow u down compared to a team who ignores it. The guy who drives clean through there receives than a 4 Minute penalty ((460 * 0.5 seconds)/60 seconds = 3.8 minutes) over the hole race for doing the right thing.

In my opinion a rule is needed for that, maybe something like the tires on the left side have to be clean otherwise u have to lift for 3 second's or even better a layout like in the MOE + a guidline how to act if it wasn't clean like lifting throttle. The MOE admins are very experienced i think and they don't have their layout without reason. With an admin looking there it will become random because the admin doesn't has a clear guidline how to act, when it's a cut, when it's not. And for me as racer, i just can drive through there how i think it's correct and have to hope that the admin think's the same.
