Quote from masternick :I take it you have never been on a track? I know a few people that shared this attitude and talked about how drifting on the track is so easy and how good they are then you get them on the track and they do horrible lol

going >60kph in the wet is nothing like doing 100+ on a track nor is it going hard, no need to push the limits on the street when you can have fun going 50%

lolwut
I never said drifting on track is easy, let alone "how good i am"

All i said was that if i can act like a tard' on the streets, he can do it on a track where it is much, much, MUCH safer. Besides, his car is FWD i'm fairly positive...

Quote from Jakg :just too scared i'll bend it

Man up.

I smacked a box curb couple nights ago in the local industrial doing some street drift, don't hear me bitching and moaning.

If i can go hard on the street you sure as hell can go hard around a bunch of kitty litter and run offs.

Good thing supra's are built like tanks, no damage, not even a scuff mark on the rims(Not that i give a shit, they're ugly as hell anyway)
really need to tighten up the lsd or just bite the bullet and go get a 2-way
current lsd is worn and makes it unpredictable (as you can probably see)

Err...how have i claimed to be a bad ass? I posted up something car related, they were the ones to take it off topic?
If i were a badass, i'd say i spend $500 a week on meth and make $3000 a week due to drug dealing.

But alas, i work like a slave and earn next to nothing.

And for once i agree with G!hno, less worrying about what someone on the internet spends their money on, and more posting cars.

if doing (at an average) 3 pills / 1 tab every 3 months is an addiction, 80% of the population must be alcoholics...

$300 over 3 months is $25 a week, in the grand scheme of things, it's really not that much.
And as i said, that was when i was smoking weed regularly, which i don't anymore.

Logitek, i'm going to say this once, and then i'm going to end this stupid and trivial arguement.

Drugs in australia, COMPARED to other countries, are more expensive. But i don't do them enough to have a decent impact on my wallet.
Therefor, No i did not contradict myself, i was making a comparison.

Everyone else understands that, why can't you?

Are all you americans this stupid?

$600 a week = $2400 a month.
3 months x $2400 = $7200

So i earn $7200 every 3 months
Now if we take away rent/expenses, i'm left with about $3200 every 3 months to waste.
$300 Doesn't seem like much any more, does it?

also, $35 a pill, i'd need to ingest at least 8 pills OR 12 tabs of LSD over 3 months to make up $300

I'm lucky to have 3 pills and maybe one or two tabs in 3 months. I said $300 as an absolute maximum as i used to smoke weed very regularly and thats where most of it came from. As i've quit, its not quite that high anymore.

Since you cannot read (And probably cannot comprehend mathematics) I will make it very, very simple for you.

Drugs are expensive in australia. Yes.
I do not buy many Drugs.
Therefor, I do not spend that much money on drugs.
(are you following me so far?)
This means, that the amount of money i spend on drugs, does not impact my wallet.

Now, go run along child, and go find another skank to claim you have OMG LIEK TOTALY FALEN IN LUV WIF after a week.

Quote from logitekg25 :am i the only one who thinks 300$ even every 3-4 months on drugs is ALOT of money?

I don't know how it is in other countries, but in australia alcohol is VERY expensive.
Its not uncommon for people to go out clubbing and spend $200+ in ONE NIGHT on JUST alcohol.
So in the grand scheme of things, no, its not.

Quote from G!NhO :1000dollar is still not that much?

1jz - $1000
2jz - $2000

Plus there are a LOT more hidden costs when going 2jz. (Plus the need for an R154, or getrag..but i don't have 4k to drop on a getrag...)
Quote from Dennis93 :In difference, it's still quite a lot of money for a teen.

I'm 21, but yeah, $1000 is a fair bit of cash.
I only earn $600 a week, $300 of that goes on Rent+Food, $100 of that gets spent on miscelaneous (Fuel/Phone/Random stuff)
Quote from e2mustang :has money for drugs, has $ for engines.

You're an idiot. Pills are $35ea, acid is $25, I'm lucky to spend $300 over 3 months.

I want reliable and cheap power, 1jz offers all of that.

Correct, its a 7MGTE(I would never buy a car with a 1g, especially in something as heavy as a supra)

Quote from banfwd :Why not 2JZ? Horror price?

Because theres usually a $1000 difference between a 1jz and a 2jz (Most 1jz engines tend to resale for $1000~ in aus)

^What he said

It also came from a running car once upon a time.
Regardless, i will only be using #1 motor, the #2 and #3 i will combine, and either sell off, or go built/forged over time. (So its kind of irrelevant, even if compression is bad)

either way, im checking them out this sunday. As long as engine #1 is all good, i will be purchasing all three motors, as for $400...one engine is a steal.

So it looks like my 1jz conversion may be happening sooner than later (Thought its still a few months off)

Going to view three motors this weekend, all for $400..

#1 Good compression, Good turbos, Good head, pretty much a complete and running motor

#2 Bad compression, Good turbos, Good head, missing a few accesories

#3 Is a bare block, but with good compression

Going to attempt to make two decent engines out of the three, pretty stoked as the price is cheap for what im getting. Then its time for new seals/freshen up and start saving for bellhousing/clutch and all the other small bits i need for the conversion

super excited

Quote from BigPeBe :If anything a (working) locked or limited slip differential makes the car more stable. There's no sudden changes in which one of the rear wheels is slipping.
I can say my car feels plenty twitchy sometimes mainly because it has decent power but open diff (gonna change the diff tho).

Never driven a powerful RWD car in the wet with a welded diff, have you?
