Handbrake on my Mazda Bongo uses a drum on each rear wheel, wheras the 'proper' rear braking is done via discs.. so I guess there must be other vehicles about with this setup

Becoming a daddy seriously dented my computer time. i spend more time lurking the forum than playing these days !!
TBH the AI + graphical improvements of Patch Y meant whenever I would fire up LFS I'd play single player.. mucking around with engine sounds / checking out the interiors / downloading skins / textures. All stuff distracting me from the online world, which is what LFS alway did best. shame really !!
despite the lack of proper racing on my part-I still love LFS and am looking forward to the new car and whatever else shows up in the next patch.
Single seaters never did it for me (except the odd blast in MRT and the FO8) so bring on the 'dub
ok rant over - a quick hit of online racing would prob get me addicted again. LFS has staying power IMO..

well done chaps for releasing the patch into the wild...

must admit i'm with you on this too steviemax as i'm a pick-up-and-play-occasionally player too.. it would at least remove the "do i suck ?" or "does my setup suck?" uncertainty from my racing !!

I had a LG1915 as my main monitor for a couple of years - its a fantastic screen. sold it to the mother in law and am still impressed when i go over for my sunday roast..

Well i still love the game - lots of people were raving about the patch at xmas, 2months down the line and we are getting impatient again

For the past 5 years, I've tried loads of alternative racing games as they come out, but none of them have cut the mustard in comparison with LFS. I keep coming back for more. I completely understand why some of the hardcore long term players could get bored after a while, but as a casual pick up and play person the game just keeps getting better. If I want real life tracks, I pick up an ISI game, if I want great physics and racing, LFS is THE game to play.

Hopefully the new language work will bring in a whole host of new racers from all over the globe.. In the meantime, try to appreciate LFS for what it is - a fantastic online racing game !

Thanks Guys - I'm loving the look of the Kyoto layout !!
Locally IRL we have figure of 8 banger races, that could be carnage if simulated in LFS - particularly with the 'no reset option' !

I do feel kinda guilty suggesting such things - hope the devs dont mind such misuse of their baby

I'm a big LFS fan, loving the fact the game gets better and better. However, despite playing for years, I'm still desperately untalented - so thats my excuse for the following request :

Can somebody pleease set up a Banger Racing server when Patch X arrives? with an oval big enough to cope with 32 cars - that would be fantastic fun!! I used to play on UKBangersOnline - and when showing off LFS to my friends it was the only place I'd be brave enough to let them play multiplayer. Needless to say they all loved it... Some newbie friendly servers wouldnt go amiss - kinda OLT Pro servers but in the other direction (anybody who laps within x% of the wr gets booted for being too good)

apologies for not being hardcore enough, but its all about having fun and sometimes the pressure to be fast can be too much ! Also, Banger Racing IS a real sport so there

Something similar happened to a double decker bus here in Norwich when the road subsided!!

happens in official patch W and Test patch W32 - just drive into the area in the pic and you fall in..

ah sorry for not being clear - switching it OFF with patch W17 has no effect - that is the problem !
also, its not forced in my GFX driver, as I can turn it off in patch W (which doubles my FPS)..
admittedly its not the end of the world but hey ho thought I'd mention it!

Hi Devs,
Apologies if you know about this already (i did search honest !), but toggling Full Screen Vertical Sync doesnt work for me in W17 - FPS is limited to my screen refresh rate whether the option is on or off. In the official patch W, my FPS will double upon toggling the option.

While I'm talking here (I don't post very often), just thought I'd let you know that I've loved this game for years and the new patches are keeping me hooked.. keep up the fantastic work
