Quote from GFresh :This is what i'd like to see, and use myself. But it's hard because you have to have 3 buttons to use the indicators (left, right, off - 4 if you count hazards). It would be better if you could press a button for left indicator, then press the same button again to turn it off.
For those of us that can type easily while racing, as it is it's not a problem, but for guys like me (By the time i've looked at the keyboard i'm in the gravel) it's too hard as it is, i'd like to bind the indicators to my wheel, i could just manage 2 buttons for this, but not 3.

I have the DFP, this is how I have it setup:

Commands:
signal left=7 Press, 7 Release
single cancel=0 Press, 0 Release

Cycle Command:
turn left= signal left, signal cancel

Key Mapping:
square=left marker

Result:
press the square to indicate left, press it again to cancel it...2 buttons (3 counting hazards mapped to fwd gear shift)

and another thing we have turn signals, use them to let others know what you are intending to do...if your gonna stay left then put your left blinker on

Based on this and the other discussions here, anyone want to draft up the LFS RULES OF RACE CONDUCT GUIDE ?

We can then vote on it point by point and once we get a general consensus it can be adopted as ver.1, hosts who are in accordance with the guide can then tag their server name something like: RRC-<hostname>

edit

I'm thinking someone like Becky (cause you need MORE to do :P) or one of the other major leagues who could just modify their existing rule set

I like this idea it would make spectating much more interesting to watch, a few thing come to mind:
  • perhaps LFSWorld could add an upload for "host logo graphic" at some predefined size
  • If could it be paired to LFSTVdirector (http://www.lfsforum.net/showth ... 47&highlight=lfstv) I bet you'd get many more people interested in just spectating but that would take up far too many server slots, can a current race "spectate session" be cloned?

Quote from wark :LOL so true. It would almost be better if you had to spectate to type anything.

and ONLY those spectating would be able to see the "chat session"

unfortunately neither of the Synergy cars will be at the first event, sometimes real life gets in the way

Hey sorry for taking so long...life's been nuts:
Quote :The International GT Championship consists of 8 rounds. each 4 hours long. Each meeting starts 2 weeks prior to the race with practice sessions. The Qualifiying sessions are started at 19:00 UTC/GMT on the saturday lasting for 30 minutes and races start at 19:45 UTC/GMT lasting 4 hours and finishing at 23:45 UTC/GMT.

From the "what is the igtc" section

Quote :Qualifying Sessions:
1) Qualifying sessions are 30 minutes long and run until 15 minutes prior to the race event.

Questions:
  1. 30min long with a 15min break OR 45min long and right to it?
  2. I assume the qualify session will be taken by the driver who will do the first stint since there is no room for ALL the drivers on the server. (the first stint may not be the fastest guy in the car)

Quote :11) On outlaps and inlaps drivers are to remain off of the racing line and between the yellow pit lines

This about the pit lines...not the racing line for the entire track right?

I know, not the exact right place for this but just a comment on global warming:

1. CLIMATE is a 30year average of WEATHER
2. only JUST 30years ago the science guys claimed we were in a global cooling trend, that means the global CLIMATE has changed in one 30year period?
3. even a 30year average is a miniscule timeframe on the global/solar timescale...as our planet moves through the milky way, we move through solar dust clouds, these dust clouds partly obscure the sun, and the result is frozen polar regions..we are in a dust cloud now, as we move out of it the earth will warm up to the point that the polar ice caps will melt and the water level will rise and more fresh water wil enter the oceans and the gulf stream will change - it's the planetary way
4. there was a DRASTIC temperature jump in the 1920's, about 1/2 of the total reported global warming reported recently...why? Because in the 20's the USA and UK got together and changed the methodology for measuring temperature...before the 20's a bucket of water on the deck of a ship had a thermometer placed in it, in the 20's they took the same bucket of water and took it's temperature in the engine room of the same ships...I'd bet it's a little warmer there
5. cattle produce far more harmful methane gas/year than any city
6. temperature readings are taken in large metropolitan areas, they should also be taken in remote areas as well and then the mean number reported

Not to bad mouth mother nature but it might be time to do my own research and think for myself, there's at least 2 sides to every story and there are a lot of science guys who count on the global warming report for their livelyhood listen to these:

Ya that's why I asked I've been involved in leagues before with more than 1 forum and it was hard to figure out which one had the "correct" information & replies.
