Yann Laprevotte and I found ourselves side by side for the entire last lap. Was pretty intense stuff...especially going down into T3 and coming off of it.
I want to say sorry to mike on that first accident. That was completely my fault. I'm very sorry. I'll do my best to see that it wont happen again
I saw it as a racing incident. It's np
Race was caution filled but i'm sure it will get better. I had an absolutely fantastic final lap with Yann and the #12 of Hofer. Absolutely wonderful driving by the front runners. I'm looking forward to this more and more despite the huge amount of cautions.
Excuse me, I dont mean to bring up a dead thread. But I'm currently working on building the 09 results for the Clockwork team and I dont have our results for the Dystonia 350 oval race.
Is it possible that someone who has the replay or results please tell me what my teammate and I got (lizardfolk and mustafur)?
Throw in the FZ5 as well!!! That car is so under used
Anyways it's a very interesting idea. I'm defintely willing to participate in any way I can (and hopefully a league as this is a very interesting league idea)
I'm potentially interested. But US is really big. Where and when?
Does it have to be karts? I heard some where you can rent midgits for some short track dirt racing...don't know how accurate that statement is though LOL
I don't think speed has anything to do with it. After all, DTM is much slower and the racing is about as crap (if not crappier) than F1. Plus IRL cars don't generate as much downforce I imagine (although they do generate enough to run upside down at 120 mph)
IRL cars do have that push to pass button and mechanically they are more suited to banks, roughs (see long beach LOL) so they don't get out of shape as easily as F1 (which is amazing cause they have quite a bit of horsepower and a higher top speed). Plus IRL cars are closer together than the F1 grid.
Not to mention the oval chassis design makes it much more feasible for draft battles to occur as stategic drafting is what makes ovals they way they are instead of a single file fest on every oval
Different design, tighter field. Speed has not much to do with it. I've seen some pretty boring races at low speed before (DTM, WTCC, KONI)
Are they going to make changes to the CoT already? Didn't see anything about that.
But I am happy to see that the speedway rules will be improved.
However, I think the biggest news right now is that Nelson Piquet jr will be in NASCAR trucks with Red Horse Racing.
The thing is...RHR finished 8 and 9 in the final standings with 1 win. Piquet is going to a good (albeit) poor team so there will be a LOT of pressure on him. It's a do or die deal right now. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about his involvement in NASCAR considering he's such a fail in F1.
You seriously need to stop making all this stuff up.
Exactly. That's why NO ONE spends that much on a team. Do you think CoRe or 3id's budget is $500? This isn't real motorsports. The fast teams didn't get there because they spend a lot of money.
