I have my Mazda RX-7 FC on the LFS database, but that one had the lower res tail lights

Yeah, my first attempt didn't really go as I had planned. I was simply trying to "clean" up the original and add a 3D look to the grill.

I reworked the grille a bit...make it less cartoony

Using the "sunroof" ALPHA channel technique, I managed to shape the lower sills on the UFR to make it look like a MKI/II Mini

I've been experimenting as well. Seems to only work in the skins_dds subfolder....In versions 0.5X onwards. I was hoping to implement the technique on the *_interior1.dds file so you could see the sunroof from the inside as well, but because you MUST add the _____ALPHA.dds to the name in order for the effect to show, it is not possible

i.e. cannot change the names in the DDS subfolder, where as in the skins_dds folder, you can name your skin whatever you want.

Yeah, I'm not happy with the "jaggies" either, but I can't seem to get rid of them


The only way to get rid of the "jaggies" is to make sure any vent cutouts are in a straight line, and not at an angle...

I used the same technique for making a sunroof, and applied it to the fender to make see through vents!!!

This Alpha channel business looks interesting...good find!!

I had a go at it myself. Mine is high res 2048x2048 (modified one of my previous skins), so the file size is 4Mb!!! :jawdrop:

Seems my dreamingpool link no longer exists, so I've uploaded to the LFS database instead.
