Yes the wheels are supposed to be inside the arches and given the design of the Opel Manta, you have to have big bubble style arches to accommodate the increase front and rear track width.
The 80's was an era of great racing, whether it be F1, Group B rally or circuit racing in general.
Audi changed the game with the quattro system and after great success in rallying they decided to tackle circuit racing as well.
Audi entered the american Trans Am series with their Audi 200 and DOMINATED!
Big thanks to iiiil for allowing me to use his stunning ADDA 5200 2.2T mod (https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/219BF3) as the base for my mod.
Below are some progress pics showing where it started and how it currently looks, hope you enjoy!
Thanks very much man, I appreciate the support!
Hahaha yes it does have a stack of power, I wanted it to be a weapon!
Considering the fact that a Pre Runner isn't a race car for a class, I decided to make something wild
Feels great, good job dude!! Brakes are a bit light on the default track setup and it understeers a bit in the fast turns but nothing a custom set with small tweaks doesn't fix!
Well done
As part of my ongoing desire to learn more and more about the software that I use for my day job, I decided to make something designed for off-roading and big jumps. This mod is inspired by sand rails, sand masters & dune buggies.
This is the CH3OH OFFROAD......or Methanol Offroad....because I like my name
Right now its running a small block V8, but might go through some different engines depending on how I feel.
Its a lot of fun taking this thing off of various jumps and should prove to be a hit with anyone wanting to blow off some steam and just thrash on something built for abuse!
Hey man!! Just did some hot laps with the GTR version. For starters, great job looks wise, it is a very neat mod!! The default setups aren't great though, it wants to swap ends all the time. I have done a basic Westhill Int Hot Lap setup that I will upload for you and you can try/ use it if you want to.
Keep up the good work
A few of us ended up having a bit of a debate online yesterday regarding how the license info is displayed on a vehicle mod page. This doesn't seem to correspond with the mod submitting process where you give the license info for the 3D base model that is used for the vehicle mod.
The green arrow points to the portion that makes sense and lines up with the submitted info but the red arrow points to duplication of the license info with the "Derivatives are allowed" No/Yes" below it.
This contradicts itself in the sense that if the license type "lets others distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon your work" it can be assumed that by the placement of the "Derivatives are allowed" No/Yes" below it no longer applies. This is what it looks like at face value to someone who doesn't know the submitting process.
I think the license info that the red arrow points to should be removed in order to eliminate this potential issue because the question of actual licensing only applies to the base 3D model. The "Derivatives are allowed" No/Yes" is merely a permission or lack thereof granted by the vehicle mod creator to use his/her LFS mod as a base for their own LFS mod (essentially a tweak mod of a user created mod).
