Er, what!?! Welcome to the LFS forums, obviously you're new here!
Honestly the LFS forums are one of the most immature I've seen. Shame too really, LFS deserves better.
Open Logitech profiler, locate the top menu, click Options> Global Device Settings, then uncheck report combined pedals. It may have been unchecked already.
Then run LFS, go to Options>Controllers and make sure a similar option is set (I forget the exact wording).
Don't forget to subscribe to their show on youtube!
Around $289 for the GT3 with clubsport pedals if I remember correctly. Though I don't think they are reviewing the GT3 wheel in this episode. There are a lot of different wheels and options.
I can see how that would be tough, but believe me, others have survived worse without ever feeling the need to act out or take out the anger on others. Believe me, MUCH worse than that. But like I say, pain is relative and some people can stand more than others. I do not mean to belittle your pain.
Rock, 3 things; 1 - Pain is relative. 2 - It's a big world out there. You have no idea what some people have lived through. 3 - If you use your past as an excuse for your behaviour you will never move past it (IE never change).
That said good job on admitting you made a mistake and facing the flack.
CSU1 is right, you don't "install" LFS, so uninstalling and reinstalling will do the exact same thing as clearing your .cfg files, only it takes longer to do.
I may have killed a hooker or two every once in a while, but I've NEVER cheated in any online video game. I sleep well at night.
Also what does ADE (African Dance Ensemble) have to do with anything?
ADE = http://www.afridance.com/
Seriously though, I really don't like hackers and I think you'll find most people don't either. Glad to hear you've learned your lesson but don't expect pity, you gotta EARN your forgiveness.
Well I have one good thing about the glacier-like development speed of LFS.
It prompted me to finally give in to iracings insane pricing and give it a try. I must say, the physics in iracing are damn good, maybe a touch better than LFS in some areas. And the tracks, oh my god the tracks... :jawdrop:. I've now raced on 3 tracks that I'm very familiar with in real life and I'd bet money that once the next season starts I'll be a few tenths faster.
Now I'm not saying I'm giving up in LFS now, I probably will get S3 if it comes out but in the mean time iracing will be taking up the majority of my sim time.
LFS finally has some decent competition (except for the still insane pricing) which is good for us simmers, maybe some competition will motivate LFS to evolve.
TBO the intel chips overclock nicer on average than the AMD ones, but for gaming either one is fine. The rest of your system seems good enough as well, no major issues so far...
The PSU on the other hand, is one of the most critical components in your system. One thing, wattage is not the most important factor in a PSU. What IS important is amperage on your 12v rail(s). Your desired video card takes around 25-30 amps so as long as your desired PCS can handle that you should be golden.
Not you, I was refering to the "noob" and "6 y/o with ADD" comments. Is it hard to imagine that a somewhat smart, normalish, mildly imature older guy could get bored with LFS?
Are you serious they won't see this thread? I'm not upset about the late car, it was just the straw that broke the camels back if you catch my drift.
Why so many insults for expressing my opinion? And 6 posts since 2003 hardly makes me a forum troller.
I AM glad you are all so content with LFS, I really am, all I'm saying is that MY OPINION is that I'm not satisfied. I'm not going to get emotional about it though, either LFS adds new content or I play less often, either way I'm sure it's not something to get upset over guys. All I wanted to do was express how I feel somewhere the developers might see.
I can see your point, but it still does not change the fact that LFS needs to worry about keeping its current playerbase, let alone expanding on it. The only way I can see it doing this is by finding a way to speed development up (more developers maybe?) to keep things interesting. As good as LFS is it can't rest on its laurels anymore. Sure the diehards may never grow bored but LFS needs more than just diehards to keep afloat.
I don't post often, but I wouldn't say I'm a noob.
All I'm saying is that it really feels like they have slowed in the progress since 2003, and it's going to take a lot more than a patch with 1 new car to keep me interested.
That said it's a shame really, since LFS had the best netcode of any online racer I've played. I'd love to see it revived again.
