It must be frustrating for the devs who after so much hard work come on this forum and see the rubbish posted by people who clearly don't 'get' LFS. I am sure the majority of the devoted LFS fans and anyone who appreciates sim racing welcomes the new additions to realism made in the new patch and I suppose this is all the devs should worry about. However, it seems that idiots who want 'the ultimate drifting simulator' or whatever seem to overshadow what should be a great time for LFS fans to celebrate.
Q: Lewis, a brand new circuit for you. Have you walked around it and principally have you tried it on the simulator? Lewis HAMILTON: It's my first... I literally got here to the track an hour ago and I've not yet had the time to walk it, but I will do after this and no, I've not been on the simulator. Q: Would the simulator help? Hamilton: If it did I would have done it. Q: So you don't really feel it's that much of a help.
That vid looks like it was taken at the Sydney motorshow last year. I know because I got the fastest time of the show and won a bunch of Toyota F1 gear
Thanks guys but neither of those are particuarly useful suggestions
Is there anyway to unlock from behind a firewall? Otherewise its demo for me for the next 12 months
I am also having trouble unlocking LFS from behind a firewall (i dont have admin rights)
Does the above technique work for patch W? I can't seem to find the line 'port 80' in the cfg.txt
any help unlocking LFS would be great! Thanks
edit: it appears from this thread that this technique won't work anyway. Any other ideas?
I think that is the important thing about CSR. If I turn up the csr volume I have the same problems as have been described above. When turn it down to 1 I can still hear the LFS engine and skids (the important stuff) plus the extra 'ear candy' like gear shifts and turbo spools.
To say it makes me faster would be a bit of a long shot - but it atleast it adds something to make the sound in LFS a bit more gutsy. If anything though I think this program has shown us just how good the LFS sounds are in their current state.
I don't know how you guys use so much ffb.
I set profiler to 50% and ingame ffb to about 10-15%. Any higher and it feels like there is just way too much resistance!
Also I use a dfp and with 720 degrees in profiler so the wheel is a 1:1 match with in game - thus wheel compensation has no effect on the steering for me.
