Aston was the center of attraction for what was an FBM-crazy week! The Banana Chicane circuit hosted the penultimate round of LRL Season 2, and gave us a brilliant fight for the lead and mid-field battle between hungry drivers!

Qualifying Results

Qualifying was a shambles, with drivers eager to get track position to begin a flyer on the short track. MRc's Gemini was the favourite for the round, and proved his supporters right by setting the pace from the beginning. His team mate Zesty shadowed his pace but could not challenge for the fastest lap. Atian then stepped up to the plate and brought SIDUS's Gabor with him as they both attempted to knock Gemini off pole, to no avail! Air Attack's Swiftz lined up a remarkable 4th, just ahead of Race Green's Mandula and then Michal, who at this point, was virtually out of the running for the championship - such is Trespasser's dominance! That could not be said for him today however, as he only qualified his TRR machine in a lowly 13th.

Race Results

The race kicked off with an even launch from the top few drivers, with Atian unable to get past Gemini using draft into the sweeping Turn 1. Gabor and Swift held back and then attempted to pass at Turn 2, forming a 3 wide situation, of which saw Swiftz moved past Gabor, while a compromised Mandula collected Zesty, spinning him out of contention. Gemini was then passed by Atian into the chicane, losing his flow and dropping down to 6th, behind Michal.

Meanwhile, carnage further back ensued as Pickard stalled on the start, forming a bottleneck around 10th place, which resulted in contact between Seven and Trespasser, sending the champion-elect across the track and down the order. He would later retire on Lap 2, after damage put him miles behind the pack.

As the field spread out, small battles started emerging, and one of which was Swiftz and Michal. Swiftz, who had gotten re-passed by Gabor, was now falling backwards in 4th, and the two drivers fought down into the braking of Turn 2, making initial contact, sending Michal across the weeds and back into Swiftz. A small heart stopper for both, but luckily, they escaped unharmed!

A few places behind, Oscar Hardwick was in a battle with the Race Green boys of Redbot and Mandula, and on Lap 11, managed to pass both of them as they fumbled at the chicane!

Atian, who had gotten past Gemini in the opening laps, was now coming under pressure from the MRc driver, who had calmly made his way up to 2nd, and made the move into the lead on Lap 14 down into the chicane, after a prolonged side-by-side battle which Atian lost. A new race leader!

A few laps later and Gabor was right on the rear of Atian, hassling for 2nd. A small error under braking for the chicane saw the SIDUS driver spin off, rejoining ahead of Swiftz, only to engage in a battle and receive damage at the same place the next lap, conceding the place and eventually retiring following a second dizzy spin.

Michal was running a quiet race in 4th, until Oscar upped his pace and slowly reeled him in - engaging in a feisty battle on lap 24 and finally passing the ailing MRc driver 2 laps later. Michal then bailed for his compulsory pit stop, emerging behind the battling duo of Talha and Maciek. Up ahead, Pickard had pitted, and emerged behind this 3-way battle for 11th.

As the laps ticked down, Oscar, who was holding on to 4th, was being caught by Mandula at a vast rate of knots - defending hard but losing his place on the final lap in the final sector! This left Mandula in a splendid 4th in what was a poor first half of the race. As for Seven in 15th, a rouge recovering PitlaneRacer gave him a jolt as he clobbered into him as he rejoined the track surface. For this, PitlaneRacer received a penalty.

At the front however, a brilliant recovery drive and well executed pace and strategy saw Gemini win his first race in Layout Racing League, 8 seconds clear from Atian, who kept ahead of Swiftz and the fast Mandula. Oscar claimed 5th, ahead of Born2Race's Twincam and Race Green's Redbot. Maciek capped off the top 10, whilst Zesty finished in 21st, second to last only to Beluthar, following a horrid sequence of incidents.

To reply to your original protest @jueweb

Lap 4 time 11:55 Turn 8 - racing incident, just usual mild body contact.
Lap 7 time 18:19.20 Turn 8 - you had shunted him into a half spin 3 corners behind, I wouldn't be surprised about the return serve
Lap 8 time 19:54.10 Turn 4 - again, you shunted (well, this time, nudged) him off his line for no reason
Lap 9 time 21:53.30 Turn 5 - you broke/brakechecked into a corner (double right) which doesn't need braking. Of course he's going to run into you
Lap 9 time 22:15.55 Turn 8 - because of you nearly spinning Tauky out, the pair of you broke earlier than usual, Skattle broke at usual point because he's not busy making contact with another car
Lap 11 time 26:14.60 Turn 8 - again, mild racing contact. Tauky gave Skattle his own bit of contact there too.

To join up both my posts - I would say if those contacts #29 gave you warrants a penalty, then you, yourself, would have your own too. Your contacts, although lesser, were far more aggressive and big. If #29 wasn't annoyed by your driving by lap 7 I'd be amazed.

Please, when you report, don't throw up random timestamps just because it helps make the report more full. It doesn't help your cause.

Wait for the official Stewards' decision however as I'm not part of the crew for TBOC Smile

Quote from Thespeed10 :At the time I wrote that I was a bit pissed. Anyway, for now I agree that is not enough to report, but the way you defended your position so aggresively and the numerous times you blocked me when I went for the gap is when I was annoyed.
I'll delete my post since for now I don't think is enough to justify the report, but if you want to know where I was pissed here is a couple of videos:

1.- https://streamable.com/2vvbft (You hit me there, but instead of backing of a little bit, you kept your foot in the gas)
2.- https://streamable.com/q20hfh (Braking late, yeah. I tried to go for the gap and half of my car was along side you, but you still went for the racing line)
3.- https://streamable.com/qe1692 (Small touch, yes. But the way you steered into me -and at the time of driving- I thought that it was a dirty tactic. For comparison, the guys ahead of us respected each other. Car #26 didn't steer into ##66 even though he had an overlap over him.) (I took the same lane as #66 and didn't steer into you, I simply kept my line)

((Didn't know you had to deal with a magnet in the race skattle Shrug ))

To #39 jueweb

#1 -

You steered into him to the left when next corner is a right turn and you had space

#2 -

You turned in early to an imaginary corner 50 meters before the turn in point

#3 -

You went straight into a right kink and cut him off

Sorry, am I sensing some animosity here or did you get some lessons from a drunk? I don't think any of your protests are validified after seeing your aggression to Skattle at the moment, based off the visuals here. I'll take a look at your 6-part protest shortly.

The beloved Lmaoring played host to the 10th round of Layout Racing League. The fast, flowing circuit provided us with some good racing and an exciting final half of the race!

Qualifying Results

The qualifying session was graced by the Born2Race (B2r) team, with Ayoub setting the track alight with provisional pole, before his team mates Twincam and Spiky attempted to up the pace, with Twincam getting to pole beaten by the smallest of margins. Championship contender MRc's Michal slowly crept up the order, but could not threaten the B2r squadron in the top 3. Boy made a return to the series and put his XRG in 5th, ahead of the Race Green duo of Maciek and Redbot. LCS-R Mate sat in 8th, ahead of Air Attack's Rane. Two rookies, Vanessa and Talha sandwiched HR Cooper at the back as they learned the ropes.

Race Results

The start saw Rane get the jump on the XFG of Mate, as an excellent getaway from Spiky up in 3rd got him into the draft of his team mates up front in the run down to Turn 1. Twincam locked his rears as he dived down the inside of Ayoub, spinning himself out of 2nd place as the field navigated around his spun XRG.

Michal found himself in 2nd as Spiky lost momentum out of the first esses sequence, with boy elbowing himself into the wall, lucky to avoid getting collected by the charging pack behind. Maciek slipped past Spiky into 3rd, as further behind, Rane found himself in 6th ahead of Redbot. RD2 also made a fantastic start, leaping up to 8th from his 11th place on the grid.

The start of Lap 2 saw Vanessa miss her braking point, sending PitlaneRacer into a spin as she retired from the race. Boy, who at this point was down in 17th and last, retired from the race after what could have been.

Up front, Ayoub began setting the pace as he worked to pull away from Michal and Maciek, with Spiky getting past into 3rd after a bold outside pass on the latter.

Twincam was slowly making a recovery after his shambles on lap 1, passing Cooper and Talha as he made his way into the midfield. By Lap 6, he was into the top 10 after pressuring WCL's Soini into an error down into the final chicane, and on Lap 13, he was up into 6th and back on the charge for the podium.

As the race passed the mid point, it was still Ayoub up front as Michal was slowly being reeled in by Spiky. Maciek led the Race Green pairing in 4th, as Twincam was set to pass Redbot with his pace advantage.

A daring pass saw contact between Redbot and Twincam, which sent the B2r driver into the outside wall and then violently into the next row of barriers ahead, catapulting him into the air and flipping him over, ending his heroic charge up the field. MRc's Talha had also turned turtle at the last corner, which saw the track blocked by two vehicles - bringing out the Safety Car, which saw Redbot, Jereloco, Rane and RD2 bolt into the pit lane for their compulsory pit stop.

Mate, Rookie, Soini and PitlaneRacer followed suit and made it into the lane just before a Red Flag was issued - meaning they had cheated death and completed their stops, where unfortunately, race leader Ayoub, who was past the pit lane when the flag was issued, could not. Talk about a stroke of bad luck and bad timing!

The grid reformed for the race restart, with the top 5 yet to make their pit stop. Ayoub led Michal and Spiky, then came Cooper a lap down, who was wedged between the faster cars.

As the Safety Car led the field to the green flag, Michal and Maciek took their pit stops, opting to drop positions at the start for a better, closer opportunity to pass cars.

The race restarted with Ayoub and Spiky on a mission to gap the field, setting fast laps right from the get-go. Cooper jumped out of the way to make his pit stop, which released Redbot and Jereloco to set their own pace in the quest for their podium. Michal, who was making a recovery after his pit stop, cleared Rookie and Soini and set after PitlaneRacer and Rookie.

Lap 32 saw both the B2r lead cars of Ayoub and Spiky traverse the pit lane for their stops, with Ayoub's 10-second gap to Redbot and Jereloco insufficient to maintain his lead! Ayoub emerged in 6th behind LCS-R Mate, who himself was having an excellent, calm race. Spiky emerged in 9th behind the Michal and Maciek.

A jubilant Redbot crossed the line to claim his and his team's first ever race win in LRL, with Jereloco coming home a close 2nd in what was an equally well-executed, smart race! Air Attack's Rane finished on the podium in 3rd, just ahead of RD2 and Mate. The unexpected top 5 was followed by Ayoub in 6th, who had set the pace the entire race event. Michal finished in 7th, which meant that Trespasser, who had not attended this race, would now be our champion-elect of Season 2/2020! PitlaneRacer finished in 10th, with Soini close behind in 11th.

Is the following possible to be added into insim output (the race results that you can extract from insim after race ends)? Extracted from conversation on Discord. Pardon 3rd party reference and speech.

Topic is about marco shifting through pedal axis and unregulated button clutch speed.

@number And this is why enforcing autoclutch doesn't do anything. LFS needs to have a value display for axis value/button rate for clutch - displayed in the final result table (the insim thing that marks X if you have Brake Help etc). Then that way all leagues can then regulate a certain value of which limits your pedal input value/speed.

BC isn't faster than clutch IF you use a realistic value. For me, I use 6.05. Which is slightly slower than your feet, but of course more consistent. That neutralises that. But for those who use value 10.0 for BC, then that's an issue. And brings my point back to the start that we need a value demarcation for axis and bc on final table result.
@Fatass ^
button clutch atleast is tied to button control rate in game
@Fatass Exactly. But it also needs regulation to how >much< bcr you can use. But the lack of the value displayed in insim result means no one knows if you're using 1.0 or 10.0

The tight confines of the Hong Kong Harbourfront circuit hosted the 9th round of LRL, and it was a race full of battles and paint rubbing!

Qualifying Results

Qualifying kicked off with drivers finding a line and rhythm on the circuit. With close proximity to walls, precision was important. It was MRC's Michal and Air Attack Racing's Rane who set the early pace as they knocked tenths off each other, before defending champion Trespasser clocked a provisional pole time. SIDUS's Gabor soon found pace and the top 5 constantly swapped positions as each driver went just a little bit faster. However, it was TRR's Trespasser who took yet another pole, ahead of Gabor and Race Green's Mandula, who had set a time good enough for the 2nd row on the grid ahead of Michal. Minve was pacey in 5th, with Team OK's Cyankill rounding off the top 10.

Race Results

The race flagged off and the drivers got off the line, a short run into Turn 1, with most of the racers holding position. Rane got a run around the outside of the corner as the others tripped over each other, and got ahead of Minve. Further back, Cyankill drew alongside a compromised Maciek and passed him into the next turn, and squeezed past Jereloco, gaining two positions. Mandula lost out to Michal and trailed the top 3 as the field scrambled for a piece of track.

Trespasser vaulted out away in the lead, with Gabor unable to match his pace in the opening few laps, dropping back into the clutches of Michal, who himself was dragging Mandula with him. Mandula made a mistake into turn 1, and came under fire from Michal, who was eager to get past. Meanwhile, the first pit stop occured with 12345, choosing to undercut his rivals. Rane was falling back from the top 4 after his brilliant start, now getting chased by Cyankill; and Rane's luck ended when he received a penalty for a chat infringement.

Zeinberg and 12345 got into an intense battle, which turned sour as the pair made contact down into Turn 2, sending Zeinberg's XFG into the barriers. 12345 would receive a penalty for this high-speed accident.

Back at the front, Gabor had finally found pace and was slowly closing up on race leader Trespasser. Both traded fast laps as they increased their pace, dropping the Mandula-Michal battle in 3rd behind. The battle for 5th between Jereloco and Cyankill continued as they traded paint, with Cyan getting increasingly frustrated, stuck behind the slower driver.

Rane's penalty dropped him into the small train formed behind Elmo and Maciek, and he slowly fought past the traffic. PitlaneRacer, the race's only XRG participant, had good early pace in the race, however fell back as the front-wheel driven XFG racers slowly picked their pace up, leaving him down in 18th behind Martin.

Lap 11 saw Gabor lose all the time he gained on Trespasser, as he ran into a spun backmarker of Zeinberg. A lap later saw Cyan get caught up behind Zeinberg, crashing into and spinning out off him.

Lap 14 saw the midfield come in for their compulsory pit stop, shadowing each other. Sabot emerged in front of TC-Racing's Elmo, while Maciek unfortunately had to hold station behind him. Fortune was not on his side as he then received a penalty for pit speeding!

A train behind CHV was now forming, with Rane stuck right in the thick of it. The train of cars fought throughout the second-half of the race, with Elmo coming under pressure from Rane, holding his ground steadily. The Air Attack driver then received his second penalty for another chat infringement, leaving Elmo to race home safely ahead of Sabot to a well deserved 7th. Meanwhile, further up front, Michal had his hands full with a fiery Jereloco, having to push till the end to stay ahead and grab another podium.

It was Trespasser who took yet another win, extending his nearly untouchable championship lead as the season enters the final few rounds. Gabor finished in 2nd, his SIDUS machine giving a good fight at the first half of the race. Michal held off Jereloco for the podium, while Mandula had to settle for 5th after an average second stint.
